Ive seen one pic up a rattler my stepdad caught and it was rattling and hissin and it went stone limp when he reached in the barrel we had it in. He prayed then reached and it went to sleep. If they could do everything Christ and the apostles could do then it might make sense but they cant. Every where Christ went everyone normally left healed and delivered. Peters shadow even healed people and cast their devils out. If these "snakehandlin" meetins are so powerful then why doesnt many miracles take place. On the day of pentecost thousands were saved because of their power and message of Christ. Not the message of snakes. Something dont add up. NO SOULS NO MIRACLES but REVELATION.NOT

I have been ordained in 4 denominations, so I don't think a lack of education has anything to do with it. your exactly right it is in the bible and the example of apostle paul is in the bible too, but please show me where it is in the bible that Jesus or the Apostles went snakehuntin, built a snake box, kept snakes at their house or "handled them in church services. Paul wrote alot of epistles to the new testament church, Im pretty sure tht if they were bringing cobras to church he would have mentioned it. @Savedbygraceforever1 The bible says that not all Jesus works was recorded but the bible does say in the context right after it talks about taking up serpents that in Mark 16:20 they went out with signs following so it must be talking about the 5 signs listed in its same context of scripture above "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
I was at the homecoming service at JOLO in 2010 and I am scared of a lizard and I felt welcome, I did not see any one in danger but the ones that were handling the snakes. The pastor let everybody know that if you are not right with the LORD then stay on the carpet. I saw one that was trying to take pictures on the hardwood floor, he was asked to get back on the carpet and He did. I was up front and was never in danger at all. They have something that I wish I had!!

He that feareth is not made perfect in love." They are doing "what God told them to do," but God is not fear, God is love. In Romans 12:9 it says, "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Anytime the bible mentions a serpent it is to resemble evil.
