@GabrielOnuris The key difference is that your opponent's player line has the same effect as your own. That is, it can propagate events across the timeline. However, if they do something and then jump to another point on the timeline, you won't know until a natural timewave comes by. This is a huge part of the information warfare in Achron.
So when you press delete, you have to click on the part of the timeline where you want orders deleted? because when I do that it just brings me to that point. Is that right?
tbh i think watching your replays/playing the game its self has really proven the best way to understand the game mechanics, it would be interesting if you could start some kind of day nine type guide on build orders though since, the wiki / failing in matches seems to be the only way right now
3:20 - Nice chronofrag you got there. It seems strange to me that you didn't explain it. Other than that, I really like this tutorial. Short and simple.
@mcilrain well, it helps to play through and experiment on sandbox levels. I'm sorry this tutorial didn't provide enlightenment for you, though I'm not sure how else I could have explained it.
@mcilrain Well, time is like this river, where events flow from past to future. Though in this case you're sitting on the beach making messing with the current anywhere you please in this river.
Alternately, time is the name we give to the perception of increasing entropy in the universe. This explanation is more accurate, but doesn't have a clever Achron segue.
@Shadowfury333 You are very smart guy, and your videos are entertaining! I still don't really understand the mechanic even after watching this vid but now I want to try the game out and learn for myself :)
@penquinftw Hey, the time travel mechanic is best learned by experience, this tutorial is just meant to get people who think like I do into a good frame of mind to understand how the system works. Anyway, the game is $30 for 2 copies now, so you can go halfsies with a friend and that way you have a learning buddy, which is a great way to get used to any game.
I can understand how you've not done this sort of tutorial yet, since the hazardous software channel has its series of demos on the same stuff, although this one includes some new information.
After watching this video, I feel like Terry Crews after using old spice body spray.

Wow, this looks like one complicated game. Yet a really awesome one. Any paradoxes you may encounter why playing it? Or does that blow up your game?

@chaz706 Yes, I think my brain just jumped out of my head and jumped off my balcony after all that. I am endlessly intrigued by this game...

I don't think any amount of tutorials and explanations are going to teach me how this time stuff works...
