Jeff Probst doesn't give one team advantages by stating what the other teams are doing. Since this is a competition and there are more than one person or team competing at a time, the camera men/women can't possibly tape everyone at the same time and the editing people can't combine everyone into one shot. Therefore, that's why Jeff Probst is there-to tell the audience what's happening when a team's not on camera while the other team(s) is/are and he does that by stating whatever he sees.

I do think Jonathan made that whole season entertaining actually, and yes I wouldn't call him fat, regardless of the fact he lost a lot of pounds on the island itself. As far as the comment, yes, it was good fun. At another challenge (a weight-holding challenge) Jeff said "and we wait a little more" and Jonathan said "it's like a bad pun Jeff"
