Ive been here several times, the Carp gather there because people have been feeding them bread from the vendor who makes a killing on day old bread they would normaly just toss out for at least 25 years( My 1st visit was 25 years ago) I have always wanted to run across it lol and see if i could make it.
@chicksfollowme Not really trapped, its a huge reservoir on the border of Ohio & Pennsylvania called Pymatuning. It's the 3rd largest body of water in Ohio and its only half in Ohio. Like 14,000 acres or round abot. Where the video is the Lake is sectioned off and you are not allowed to fish or hunt it. Its a wildlife preserve area. And if its not Pymatuning its very similar.
really :o what happens are the used for feed? Do people consume them? Or is that where they die? I just think that's crazy for them to slowly die there.
@macdiarmid2 the're not disgusting the're smart fit and survivalist That's why the're taking over North American lakes Rivers creeks ponds canals the're highly adoptable amazing fish they can die then be put back in the water and will came to life after hrs of being dead. The only 2 ways they will ever be stopped is 1 poison all the waters the're living and killall other fish also or people in the USA start to use them for food the're very good eating fish best smoked deep fried and soup base
@jozsefkacsa yea.. as long as you like the taste of mud... here in minnesota, there are much better fish to eat.. which is why we use carp as fertilizer. tried carp once.. almost puked. garbage
@Fishermoe14 Hey man I live in North Western British Columbia and we have all the best eating Fish in the world(Walley,Halibut,Salmon ,Char, 10 diff.Trout and so & so)And i tell u I wouldn't even thinking about eating Carp before.Than 1 day an old Austrian guy showed me how to clean & fry Carp properly and I tell u the're up there with the best. Most important thew Carp have to come from very cold water!!! If water is warm the meat becomes soft, gray and gross.Trust me I tried it & the're great
@jozsefkacsa ah i see. post up a video of how to clean em and ill try it again.. lol we are from minnesota so i guess the water is kinda cold for 6 months out of the year... lol
@Fishermoe14 Not really cold in the summer though.I used to fished a lot in the Lake Of the Woods,Red Lake and Sioux Lookout in Ontario. And in July Aug the water is pretty warm compaered to up North here. Most Lakes up here the w.temp never goes lower than 48-50 f.But down there I remember in the mid summer we couldn't even eat the Pikes cause the're were to saggy and soft and full of parasites.U guys might be up North in the States but really you are the deep south to us lol
Haha, yep! It's amazing they can all breathe in there, low oxygen levels on top of having probably 3 or so layers of fish under the ones we see on top, haha.
This is a very short drive from me. My son LOVES coming here. The ducks and geese actually WALK on the fish. I always tell him there's more fish in there than there is water. An ocean of fish, really. No fishing allowed which is how they got so many big ones, on top of being fed daily vast quantities of food.
@Deathroses02 the spillway at linesville is between the upper and lower levels of the lake, if you fell in you would just be in the lower level,,,,, but the carp will leave you brused and bloody ,,,, for every one that you see there are 10 or 20 under it, the water is 10 feet deep or more right here
Use to go here as a kid, loved throwing the bread to them. I swear I saw one flop out of the water to suck up a piece of bread on the bank and flop his way back into the water.
its awesome is this fish in any dam??

@StraightUpBitchs they either jump or there is a tunnel (not shown in the video) that leads them somewhere else in the lake.
