1. For what was implemented the sequences in FCP if it has more disadventages than adventages? Being FCP a PRO software..? how come we can not use many sequences?
2. What do we need to run smoothly with sequences? Bigger ram? 4 what if FCP will use only 4GB... more space in the hard drive?
Is there a way to nest a sequence into the "master sequence" as you called it, and give that entire sequence an effect while still in the master sequence?
I love using nested sequences but sometimes using too many can overload my processor and slow my computer down to a crawl (like now!). How can I "unpack" my nested sequences WITHIN the "master sequence" without opening them as new sequences or cutting and pasting? Thanks!
Hi great video , the problem I have is once I have added a motion clip from to my sequence it become impossible to nest with another sequence, what is the workaround? thanks
Hey Does anyone know if u can nest sequences with different frame rates? I think maybe u can but my finalcut is 4.5 so maybe I just need a more up to date version?
i'm a totally newbie to finel cut pro, and i have a really hard time getting it to work,
it is just not simple for me,
my problem is just to import footage from my hd camere, i got to the point were i need to choose my in and out in the log and capturen, and i did. but i just cant get further with it and use my clip to make my movie
I have a HD camera too and I don't use log and capture at all to import from it.. Not sure if the reason I can't is because I'm only using finalcut 3 or my camera isn't compatible with the program but I could never get it to work.. What I've done is connect the cam to my computer so it mounts.. drag the files to my desktop and then use "MPEG streamclip" to convert them to DV and THEN import manually into FCP. Hell of a work around I know but it's all I can figure..
Hey Dan, how on earth did you manage to pull a key from THAT greenscreen! It's terrible man (and you know it!) But hey, if it worked for ya WELL DONE MATE!!
LOL Yeah I know. That was footage from my first test ever. I didn't even bother to iron the sheet because that's just how lazy I am :) Working on a proper screen now. I'm lucky that finalcut seems to key (at least to some extent) from almost anything.
Well I'm glad you asked miss curious. I use a nifty little program called "Snapzpro" for OSX, which screen captures even on my crappy system at a more decent frame rate then anyone ever dreamed :)
So, 2 questions...

How do you make these videos? I am so curious as to how you do these live screen captures.
