Guild Wars, Oblivion, Dungeon siege. 3 games that are without a doubt in my all-time top 10. Music played a big part in these games, composed by one brilliant man.
I avoid listening to this song cause every time I do it, I just NEED to make a new char in the pre searing , preferably with my brother.. Meet new people and go out to hunt char... Omg, Guild Wars was/is such an amazing game... Ive got about 3500 hours of gaming time.. Serieuzly. this brings up soo many memories and emotions... :-)
prophs was the best GW especially in pre. i hope GW2 has a thing like prophs and it's pre. i'll do the same i did in GW1. make a toon just for pre so i can always enjoy it.

Unfortunately ANet has let GW die and is risking a huge fiasco in GW2 because of their incapability to release the game : its been more than 3 years since they announced GW2 (they did it during GWEN's release).
@soyezzen GW2 is still set to be released this year or 1st quarter next year. You know making a game with not a lot of staff can take some time you know. = ) If not this year then GW2 Beta will be set for open release this year.
@Infinitoar you are right. they will have their first hands on demo at gamescom in germany next august ^^ it's less then a 2 hours drive from where I live so I'm definitely going.

I love pre-searing Ascalon. I prefer Prophecies over the expansions. No offense to anyone who likes the expansions, but I just feel like the expansions ruined the feel GW had. Especially with the heroes you could hire. It just felt too singular, the game was already segregated by towns being the only communal place to meet people. It made things harder when you could replace real people with "heroes".
I have nevar seen Elona or cantha. Not yet anyway. I only did a free trial on prophecies and It was so epic! I will get full game of Nightfall soon. If not its another 1 but i have my heart set on buying nightfall.
There is only one thing I don't like about this game; the fact that conversation between people seems usually quite dead. Other than that, great game :D

There's nothing i can do about it. As soon as i listen to Pre-Searing music i feel i need to create a new character, just to listen to it and to fool around the most beautiful part of the game.
Fortunately Oblivion gives you the same feeling for the whole game, so just play that. Same composer, same ambiance, same sort of environment. Just make sure to get Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul so the gameplay isn't stupid.
I just bought Guild wars yesterday and it blew me away. The gameplay is fun and subtle and the graphics and soundtrack are just gorgeous. I heard this track a lot, it's so soothing!
How do these idiots even exist in the Searing? There's no farms! They must eat the Charr, in which case all the Charr have to do to kill everyone is LEAVE.
i feel a little sad inside since i used to play Guild Wars all the time, until WoW took over me. Sometimes , i would turn off the WoW music and turn on GW music.

never-ending game-play, high population, and many other elements that draw you in. I can't really explain it, but there's some kind of factor that is as addicting as crack.

Unfortunately the soundtrack for Guild Wars will never be the same. Prophecies and Factions soundtracks are the only two that i like.
