  • Was that a baby mice?

  • @NeoSonic64 Yes, it was.

  • I know where to find these in the wild... they're fun to catch and release. I couldn't beleive they were endangered. Still not telling where their secret pond is

  • i own an eastern tigerback garter and all it eats r mice, dirt, and worms:)

  • No wonder it's endangered. It has issues eating because it is obviously concerned with it's weight.

  • Is your snake docile?

  • @tnad5212 Not really. You have to walk on egg shells around it.

  • Fuck. I wanted one of these.

  • The joy of keeping one of these beauties is a good enough reason to leave America! ;-)

  • @grazingthewasteland Hah. :D I guess if you lived in the right area, you'd actually find these in your back yard.

  • @SAsgarters Actually I reside not too far from the locale of San Francisco Garters and the Santa Cruz. Guess I might stick around here for a little while.... ;-)

  • That thing is gorgeous. Stunning colors!

  • Thanks.

  • how many inches is your garter snake? or do you use metric?

  • I'd have to guess, but this one should be about 70-75 cm, or 27-29". I haven't measured it since last summer.

  • thats pretty nice! right now my red sided garter is approaching 25 inches, still has growing to do though

  • Wonderful set up. Did you make it yourself?

  • Yeah, but the one in this video isn't that great.

  • gorgeous snake

  • hey where do u work?

  • San Francisco garters are beautiful snakes. Such a shame they're endangered.

  • i remember the first time i caught one, around '73. i knew it was a garter, but i had never seen one like that! went home and looked it up. stopped seeing them in the late eighties. i'm gonna try and photo one next spring...we'll see
