These video's take me back to my days of poetry writing and debate speaking, and as good as i felt being up there I feel so much more when I watch these.
The passion, the words, the concept and boldness of it all mixed with humor is what makes it so unforgetable and amazing. The person speaking the words is what makes it move our bodies and souls, the expression and gestures and change in pitch and volume and sounds is what makes it truly art.
This, this made my day. I thought of her so highly before. But after this..she has truly shifted me. Life..keep living in its beauty. She reminds me of absolute beauty. She is beauty.
@annawee3 I was realizing the other night while watching a few videos over again (for the millionth time) that the moon is almost a constant theme in her poems. I wonder if it has a more deep-rooted meaning aside from light and self?
the moon in literature holds connotations with femininity, calmness and relaxation. which is ironic considering her work is so full of energy and passion, but then the moon can also signify nature and metaphysics so, WHO KNOWS but this woman is an absolute beauty x
