To record with broadcast quality, you only need a notebook computer, an external audio card with phantom for condendador mics (50$) and a audio recording software. You can download Audacity software for free!!, and of course a mic.

Wow this is really great! You did this all with the Cannon 500D?? I'm looking at one so I can have a pro camera but also be able to shoot small music videos and shoot animation. If this was all done with it that is pretty awesome. It looks like a real commercial. The painting eggs idea was great for showing colors.

Yes, Y only used canon 500d and a 18-200 Tamron. That camera is a good option to make short videos whit a professional quality. I love it!!!!!!
