  • what program are you/ can you use to make these types of animations?

  • Ive been animating since i was 8 im 14 now and i want to do this for the rest of my life!

  • I think i kinda suck. Sure.... I have a comics for my anime, I draw a lot for my friends at school. I can draw ok for a twelve year old. Im really good at drawing anime like dbz, naruto,Durara, and others.I almost draw them perfectly(atleast for DBZ).

  • ok that really sucks just crushed the dream but i can care less for disney

  • growing up people would always tell me to draw them something for them

i didnt know if they were being to nice but

i always knew how to draw better than others

i can draw realistically it comes naturally to me but i find it boring

  • @RayWilliamJohansen if you can give me tips thats'll be cool. I used to draw my friends at school, I haven't done anything for 10 years and now in trying to get back into it. So hard.

  • @thawanteds

    well first of all

    draw what you see

i know its very stupid but DRAW WHAT YOU SEE REGARDLESS of how stupid it looks

touch your face or whatever you would like to draw , that usually gives you a different perspective

and remember , pretty much everything you see has a shape

    so when you draw something

try to think of shapes that could help you draw the object

for example a building would can be built by using rectangles

and remember YOU ARE IN CONTROL of what you draw

  • It's not discouraging. It's the truth. If you want to work for the best animation studio, you have to be the best animator you can be.

  • The introduction is discouraging people from embarking on this idea by making it an almost impossible so what is the point for this clip

  • @mbelkaid Its to discourage people to take out the potential competish, but i wont fall for it >8(

  • how much do they usually get paid

...and i only draw anime...some realistic stuff but i think im pretty good

  • @D0rki3s i did research, the average is like 45,000 a year but as you gain experience it can become 80,000+

  • DAMNIY IM ALREADY 20 but i dont even know how to become an animator

  • 2D is something i adore, i admire old Disney movies and such creations by studio Ghibli, all this 3D is making my head spin, sure its cool, but nothing beats the beauty of 2D .

  • i can only draw cartoon D:

  • For anyone going into 2d animation, I suggest a couple things.

    1. Draw LOTS of people/animals

    - Specifically, do gesture/croquis drawing from live models

    - Draw models in motion. Do not limit yourself to drawing still poses

    2. Draw several hours a day. You will never improve if you do not practice

    3. Build your portfolio over time. Make sure your work demonstrates that you can draw quickly, and accurately, and efficiently.

    4. Never give up! If you keep it up, you will get there eventually!

  • @IMAGIMATIONanimation i write with my left hand(and draw)

but i work on the computer with my write hand, so its hard for me to

    draw with the mouse, help?

  • @ilayg100 Use a drawing tablet like a Wacom.

  • where isthe disney aimation studio?

  • @conandweezmovies It is on Buena Vista blvd Burbank (Los Angeles) California. It right next to a hospital and the 101 freeway.

  • I've been working toward becoming a traditional animator for Disney since I was very young, but with so few career options and 3-D animation taking its place, I fear that it'll be impossible to find a solid career in it.

  • Bring back 2-d movies i love them

  • This guy shouldn't sound so discouraging, Disney isn't the only option.

  • you also have to study anotymy. thats VERY important

  • really impossible.......hahahhaa.but if i could why not....there the best..

  • Me working for Disnehy??! Never gonna happen. :P

  • my dream is to be an artist. im working on my animation. it will be soo cool!

  • My portfolio will be going through its final review tomorrow!!! If it's good enough I'LL GET THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited...but also nervous..

  • i love to draw anime! my mom was in shock the first time i drew them to and i started drawing them since i was 12 and still am. my dream career is to be an anime artist and create my own tv shows and movies also some manga books. my mom, cousins, and dad say i should go to the college that involves disney work. i forgot the name of it. is it good enough for my future career?

  • @demonfox889 I'm in the same boat, drawing since pre-school and I'm currently attending one of the Art Institutes. However, are you looking for a job as a japanese animator or just aiming to create your own studio in whatever area you live in?

  • @mewstarbeam i'm planning on creating my own studio

  • @demonfox889 then, if it's not a financial problem, you should go to that school. Follow your dream and be willing to do a lot of work to make it come true, and i mean A LOT ^_^

  • @mewstarbeam ok thanx a lot for the info. i will work my hardest for it! 0w0

  • It's tough to work for Walt Disney, as he is dead. It's however, slightly easier to work at Walt Disney Animation Stuidos.

  • @Nik1152runescape oh! my bad...but doesnt everyone have a talent?

  • @goodmediaproductions thanks for the wee motivation pick me up much appreciated

  • It is so difficult to become one. Is it possible to become walt disney animator even if you are not american citizen? :)

  • @DeViLiN888 it doesn't even matter ... If you are good enough they'll come take you ... Eric Goldberg said it in one of is animation podcast

  • Hi i am Raj. Actually i am 3d artist (freshar) for past 1 year & my interest is in 3d bg designeing. Hey can u advice me about how to become a professional artist in 3d?

    regards

    Rajesh

  • You're definitely too young.

  • how can i become an animator im from sweden and were can i start

  • how fast do i has to draw a picture

  • I'm interested in animation but I really want to direct my own Disney film :P

  • Dreaming the dream... I hate growing up. They want me to make all these choices how am I to know? I could follow any path and succeed or fail.

Any one else more interested in 2-D?

  • Yes! This is my goal, to work for Disney and bring back 2-D. But I guess it's just a dream...

  • @stravelius OMG! really me to i love 2-D because it just just has that beautiful classy touch unlike 3-D although nothings wrong with that but its just not for me i hope to work at disney one day i have some great ideas in mind and i dont mean to brag but i can draw. :) This is my goal in life.

  • @stravelius I don't like Disney, but just fyi for you, they promised to bring out 2-D animations every 4 years, and a 3-d one every 2 years, so...that's 4 your info :-)

  • @stravelius It is all traditional animator's dream too.

  • @stravelius Don't stop following your dreams it will make you stronger and stronger till you reach it!

  • @stravelius the only thing that stops the dream is the dreamer....dont loose faith in your goal. life is what you make it.

  • @stravelius ME TOOOOOOO!

  • @stravelius no! thats my dream too! if we work together then it will happen

  • @stravelius man i wish you all my luck to bring back 2-D i think it exactly as you. Please dont think it is a dream beacuse if you think so it will remain a dream it all depends on us

  • @stravelius not really i mean you can achieve your dream if you're dedicated and you work really hard i'm only 14 and i make little animations not for fun but to prepare myself for what i want to do one day

  • @stravelius 2-D is already coming back.

  • @stravelius no no no no nooooo, you bring back 2-d! i mean 2-d is EVERYWHERE!! like the show scooby doo, chowder, and lots of other cartoons. we need mor 2-d in walt disney movies. go for it! its not just a dream, its the best type of animation

  • @stravelius its my dream too, its actually a lot of peoples dream. I believe it'll come back if enough people keep working for it

  • @stravelius it's a dream that alot of pepole share with you, so don't worry about it :)!!!

  • @stravelius Its alright you can do it.

  • I AM

  • i want to do 2-d animation id like tht more than 3d

  • @Rawrbecca1992 I am. I want to learn, but I am REALLY intimidated.

  • @Rawrbecca1992 i agree with u im interested in 2-d i mean i like 3-d but i dont want to do it u know

  • @Rawrbecca1992

Yes. The US doesn't seem to be following 2D much anymore, most stuff is CG/3D. Seems like you'd have to move to France or Japan if you want to do 2D.

  • @Rawrbecca1992 yea dude! i think 2-d is wayy better than 3-d animation. i mean, compare the old garfield show with the new one. its no compition!2-d is better.

  • @Rawrbecca1992 Just a quick note Professionals call it "Traditional Animation" 2-D is less professional way of saying that..

  • me too acually for looney toones but is that walt disney????
