I need both .. manic vibes and a bow on the banjo.. ! Yes they all have great voices and talent, but the thing about their music that grabs me right away is that its both soulful and full of personality which so much music on the market is stripped of. I'm glad for the schism, frankly, P and MTF are both terrific. This is what artists do.. they tap into different inspirations as they come, and I'm excited to see them do it while they've got the creative energy!

YES it doesnt sound like pomplamoose and doesn't emit the same energy because....it isn't pomplamoose? and most likely doesn't intend on sounding like it because they are a completely different band. I think it's just sad what people are saying here. It's not like you'd have to choose between MyTerribleFriend and Pomplamoose. I personally like many Pomplamoose-songs, but MTF has some amazing stuff too! And it's always nice when artists try different things. Worst thing that could happen to artist is that if one starts to do only things the majority diggs thus not listening to their "heart". Music is not a money making-routine, it's being true to yourself

Well, IMHO, this is not the best idea...Not bad but...If you let things go too quickly, perhaps the original boost delivered with Pomplamoose will dilute or dissolve or...sorry, can´t speak your language well enough to put it the right way but I hope you understand. An ocassional collaboration is O.K but being in many bands at the same time sounds like Pomplamoose is becoming to become becomingly,mmm, ffff GOOD LUCK!!!

Don' get me wrong, Lauren is great, but you have become a back up singer and rhythm section for her. Many of lesser capability than you could do that for Lauren. Sorry, but the new band is just not that interesting. Pomplamoose has a manic energy and cute vibe that just isn't present in the new collaboration. Why is it that artists always think that a good voice is what is "really" important -- yes the new girl has a good voice, obviously talented, but she just doesn't have the charisma present in the Pomplamoose pairing.

Having stage presence, or in this case camera presence(?), to go along with your voice and/or talent. Even in American Idol, a lot of great singers are cut because they have no stage presence. Imagine watching an American Idol contestant stand there and sing without making any movements. Occasionally one or more of the judges will actually bring stage presence up in their critiques!

Not to be pretentious and all, but it's just not REAL music. It doesn't move you. It may arouse you, get you excited, but really work something in you? Stage presence is necessary for performers...an artist needs talent, hard work and vision to create art.
