1) if you (insert somewhat slanted interpretation of economic policy), you might be a desperate capitalist trying to save the economy after 8 years of laissez faire.
I don't know what the point of me saying this is because many conservatives look at fascist 1930s Germany as socialist.
That. Is. Retarded.
Hitler was not a socialist. In 'Mein Kampf'', he denounced Marxism and socialism. He advocated a type of mercantilism, which is far from socialism.
Free markets lead to free minds and free peoples. Free markets also create mutually beneficial wealth and prosperity, while free trade promotes peace and understanding.
It's not tyranny we desire; it's a just, limited, federal government; for if we wish to preserve a free society, it is essential that we recognize that the desirability of a particular object is not sufficient justification for the use of coercion. Perhaps the fact that we have seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant has made our generation understand that to choose one's government is not necessarily to secure freedom.
This video is wrong on so many levels it's disturbing. The narrator in the video is so far to the right on the political scale, he can't even see the center anymore. I'm perplexed.
@AuxoApollo Socialism is any ideology that advocates a society in which the means of production are socialized; therefore, Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy were socialist countries according to this definition.
Libertarian economists define socialism as an statist ideology that aims at constructing a society in which the means of production are socialized, and argue that Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy were socialist countries
@islandmuffin (1) You can't categorize socialism as statist without acknowledging there are other forms of socialism as well, such as libertarian socialism, market socialism, anarcho-socialism, mutualism and so on. Socialism isn't statist by definition. The examples you give of 'statism' (Nazi-Germany and 'Il Duce'-Italy) tend more to state-capitalism than to socialism, not to mention they were both dictatorships. They were as much socialist as Stalin was communist, or socialist even.
@islandmuffin (2) I agree that government control should be kept to a minimum, but not under current circumstances, meaning not in the present economic political system. We still live in some sort of state-capitalistic society. If you remove the 'state' and place all your bets on anarcho-capitalism, the system would self-destruct within a day. Claiming that Obama is a socialist is simply ridiculous and this probably indicates that you're an American.
@AuxoApollo It is not the markets that need to be regulated; Governments need to be regulated and Federal power must be limited! We know the worst evils which mankind has ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments.
Obama is a left-leaning fascist, who wormed his way into power with Affirmative Action preferences. His poor grades should precluded acceptance into Columbia and Harvard.
@islandmuffin (3) In Europe (where 'socialist' isn't yet a term of abuse) he's commonly accepted as a pro-corporate liberal. I haven't seen any nationalization yet from Obama and, as he's a liberal, I'm pretty sure it won't happen any time soon. And you can't simply nationalize financial institutions without being in charge of your own currency, it doesn't work like that. Presently, the distribution of the US dollar is in private hands, not in the hands of the US government.
@islandmuffin (4) Claiming that the likes of Chavez were placed in power is a bold statement, and probably an inaccurate one. What exactly are those freedoms the ignorant masses give up? The freedom to be poor? The freedom to starve? The freedom to not being able to feed your children? The freedom to get shot in a local guerilla war? The freedom to have a meaningless vote in a pseudo-democracy?
@islandmuffin (1) To think that Obama wormed his way to power is a naive perception of how US politics work. Money equals power; we are all subject to the economy and dependant on money, hence we are all part of a money-based class system. The reason for Obama's success is because his presidential campaign had the most funds, mainly corporate among others, who desired to see Obama take place at the Oval Office. It's absolutely insane to think anyone can just "worm" his way to power ...
@islandmuffin (2) ... in America's two-party democracy without approvement of the wealthy upper class. These are the people who not only benefit the most of our economy, but even regulate it at their will, even create financial crises, and hence control politics. Obama would have never been president if he wasn't their personal favourite. Thus the claim that Barack became president to go against corporate interests is a complete fallacy, because big business put him there in the first place.
@AuxoApollo Capitalism, coupled with civil liberties, best combats poverty while preventing tyranny: The free market solution for the poor - in a free society - is to work hard, gain skill, become educated, save capital for investment and move up an organization based on merit or invest in your own business.
@islandmuffin (1) Bankruptcy is not a solution. What happens with the billions of dollars that millions of people have saved up in these various bailout banks if the government would do nothing? The poor management of a few ‘banksters’ should not be the reason why the average Joe loses his hard-earned savings. What would you say as a bank manager to your clients, or as a congressman to your voters? “Poof! … It’s gone!”?
@islandmuffin (2) Bad or good management is a relative concept in the eyes of the beholder. In the world of business, good management is based on how much profits you make. Consideration for the environment or human rights are often secondary to making money. Sometimes good management equals firing hundreds or thousands of your employees.
@islandmuffin (3) Imagine a world where every enterprise has this ideology of greed above virtue in your anarcho-capitalist utopia coming straight from the Austrian School seminars, with no market regulation at all. Not only would it be self-destructive, but an open war of all against all; a battle for resources that actually belong to a nation and not to a few exploiters, a globalized Wall Street where every financial usurper drains the pockets of the common folk.
@islandmuffin (4) To maintain a just free-market society to live in, we would have to rely on the moral consciousness of every individual, because civil liberties would exist solely of negative rights (as in the right not to be harmed instead of the right to be protected f.e.). Moral consciousness can be attained through education and in particular education in moral sciences, such as philosophy. Who would finance education or organize protection when government just watches from the sideline?
@islandmuffin (5) Capitalism does not prevent tyranny, it creates one. Capitalism automatically leads to a concentration of capital. Capitalists invest in production and more capital returns to those capitalists. It’s a virtuous (virtuous for capitalist) cycle that creates class division that would become exponentially worse in a capitalist anarchy. The best way to combat tyranny is a participatory democracy, which of course is almost non-existent in our world.
@islandmuffin (6) Your ‘free market solution for the poor’ is unacceptable in a global perspective. “Work hard” – many poor people work a lot harder than you and me; “Become educated” – education requires time and money, which many of these people lack; “Save capital” – money can be saved when there’s excess of income, which is often not the case for many.
@islandmuffin (7) Free markets do not lead to free minds, education does. Many smokers would rather not smoke, yet 5.4 million people die from “free-market” cigarettes every year, along with thousands of non-smokers. Most of the obese people would rather not be obese, but they continue to eat our surplus of food which can feed the entire population twice, while 1 billion people suffer from chronic hunger, of which 4-5% starve to death every year.
@islandmuffin (8) ... These stats tell you much about our current free trade, which does not promote peace or create mutual wealth and prosperity rather than uphold colonial slavery.
@islandmuffin (3) You say government should minimize intervention in the free market. Let's abide by that premise for a second. GM received a US bailout that would cost the American tax payer roughly $100 billion. According to your premise, the US should not have intervened and let GM go bankrupt. Since 2008, a total of more than $4,100 billion have been spent on bank bailouts, whilst according to your premise, the government should have not intervened and let these financial institutions bust.
@islandmuffin (4) ... (I actually support this btw). You ought to agree that this is what you think is best or your premise would be inconsistent.
A free market does not equal a free society. This is a fundamentally wrong persuasion. A free market society is a society of competition, and every competition has losers, not everyone can win. The purpose of a society is to ensure a dignified existence for every human, which is a primary article in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ...
Government should do nothing to prevent business failure. Government should neither grant favors nor pick winners. Bankruptcy and reorganization is the market solution. Corrupt business should fail. Government is our most corrupting element. Bad management is punished by the free market, but bailout & Government distortion allows bad managers to stay in place. The free market insures that bad managers are soon without a job, and that better business practices replace worse.
@islandmuffin (5) ... and in a free market society, those who (in your words:) "fail based on merit" (which is a very inhumane rule; nobody merits to starve to death f.e.) tend to be robbed of that right and are often cast aside from that society.
@AuxoApollo All individual Americans deserve life, liberty and to right pursue happiness without Government intervention. Diversity of outcome is liberty. Equality of outcome is oppression.
Government should do NOTHING to promote racial or economic equality, besides enforcing the law equally. Basically, in a free market economy, the economic distribution patters are always fair, and redistribution is always vile (distortive and oppressive).
@islandmuffin (6) "We know the worst evils which mankind has ever had to endure were inflicted by bad governments." - To imply (cause I assume this is what you're aiming at) that socialism is the reason for bad governments, is the same as blaming the mustache for totalitarian dictators. These are false logics. There have been dictators without mustache too, and the same applies for bad governments that weren't socialist.
@AuxoApollo Yes. Socialism, Fascism and Communism all require state coercion. All state control leads to tyranny. Once a Government becomes too powerful, then people are powerless to prevent tyranny, so encroaching Government power must ALWAYS be limited! We are currently on the Road to Serfdom where Government is usurping power, and violating the U.S. Constitution, which I consider to be the greatest political document ever written.
LOL. There is a definition..blah blah blah. But when it is in practice it ALWAYS ends up as a totalitarian statist governemtn, fucktard. I love how you libtards defend the "theory" without ever taking into account Socialism in "practice" and how horrible it turns out to be "in practice".
What a great response. "blah blah blah". Who cares what the definition is? As long as you can use the word and make it sound evil, the public will eat it up whether or not the meaning actually sticks to the people its being pinned against. Next time you make a video, get your fucking facts straight first before uploading it you bumb!
Fascism is to the right of Communism only. As it pertains to American politics.. Fascism would be leftist because the american right is at it's most extreme minarchy or anarchy, you stupid gang banger. Leave it to a dumb fuck who gets his wisdom from Sanyika Shakur, the racist gang banger to think he can school me. lol
First of all, why do you assume that anyone who differs opinion is a liberal or leftist? Not everyone in this country latches on to an extreme. 2nd, history has shown facism to CONTINUOUSLY have been a far right position. How deep up your ass are you pulling your information from? 3rd of all... gangbanger? So first I was a socialist, then a liberal, now a gangbanger... whats next? Terrorist? Teabagger? what?
PS: Im willing to debate you and record it on skype. Lets do it.
@gworksnell You know nothing about American politics. Facism is to the right of Communism...in EUROPE. Socialists (Commis and Facists) are on the left in AMERICAN politics. Conservatives are on the right. Get your political sides right.
The statement that “Fascism is the far extreme of the Right” is a misstatement when fascists are statists & collectivists looking for progressive utopias. Right versus Left is only a political, not ‘real’ observation. Fascists are quasi-socialists (Statists) who enslave aspects of industry for the will of the State.
For example, Obama is currently nationalizing the automotive and financial industries, so that this fascist may determine their out-put, i.e. more green cars and etc.
@gworksnell I think you need a, lot more schooling if you think communism is the most right ideology, second to fascism. At least have some dignity and respect history and where the political terms "Left" & "Right" originate from. I'm not even going to begin explaining it, just do your homework better. This is exactly the downside of YouTube, that even people like yourself can post videos.
sure keep saying that. And while youre at it, Martha Stewart is a socialist, Ghandi was a socialist, your neighbor who walks on your front lawn is a socialist, the girl who didnt get your BK order right is a socialist, the guy who waited too long to go at the green light is a socialist, the Backstreet Boys are socialists, the dog whp's shit you stepped in is a socialist...
In order to preserve democracy, the people must me protected from overreaching Government tyranny. Obama along with his fellow socialists, fascists and leftwing progressives Hitler (2nd in election than popularly placed in power), Mugabe, and Chavez were elected, so the ignorant masses can be fooled into giving up their freedoms to the new latest progressive cult of personality.
hey hey hey democratic socialist are the best those guys where dictators. note none of the worlds poorest nations are socialist neither are any of the world richest and most oppressive.
its creepy to see the faces of people that killed over 150 million people. but anyways Obama makes no denial of being influenced by marxist ideaology but to compare him to past marxist like hitler and mao is dumb, hes not killing off everyone that doesnt do whatever he says like they did.
You should start a political action committee to end medicare, medicaid, schip, veterans affair, and government employees.
Now, which politician has the balls to do it?
When it comes to GM and Chrysler it was half retarded engineers and legacy retiree costs. What's the latest breakthough technology wise has come from them? Hell, the chevy volt 1st prototype was wind tunnel tested and Bob Lutz CEO said, "It's more aerodynamically in reverse." Then the Pontiac Aztek, drug test please.
Ron Paul might have the guts... but good luck in getting him elected. If we got rid of these handout/lean on the governemnt programs, these lazy beggar socialist democrat voters would have to finally get up and do something for themselves.
Honestly, Ron Paul will NEVER get elected. Do you understand how much the financial markets depend on the federal reserve? Who do you think they get their loans from? Seriously!
Right after 9/11 they dropped the interest rates to absurdly low rates. We now are in a state of surplus goods and delinquint business loans raping our system. bit (d0t) ly /sCMxR
~300 billion interest on federal debt yearly. Repubs want to drop taxes. While in debt.. that could be considered spending technically.
Oh, I realized your a fascist minority with so much built up anger. I envision it with the scene from Dave Chappelle episode where he's playing a blind KKK leader and a spectator sees the hat fall off. BOOM! His head explodes!
Minus the racist part.. since your a mutt. More of the I'm so angry and I don't know what to do.. *head explodes*
LOL, ahaha! I'm the fascist? BWAHAHA! Your boy Obama is the fascist. You damned fool. Do what you liberals always say you do, "Question authority". You might actually get it.
He's a chicken shit. If he tried he wouldn't be around. The military wouldn't back him. Have fun for the next 4 years. He's taking the democrat party somewhere Bush couldn't even take the republicans. Oh and thanks for the racial slur calling me a mutt. BLOCKED.
I might disagree with that. She had to go to law school etc, to be fair, she did put in the effort to become what she is. I just think she is biased, therefore she wasn't qualified.
ATTENTION! If you come to post on this video talking nonsense. You are blocked. Make a valid point. 1 starring this video won't work, ratings are disabled. lol
If you support the military, public education, fire and police departments or any public infrastructure, you also might be a socialist. Even driving the public road makes you a socialist.
Maybe all along we are just a bunch of socialist cunts. Lets move to Somalia. o/
Finlanderexx, it seems many people who like socialism tend to mistake "Duties of The Government" with socialist systems. Government does play a role in any society indeed, but its not suppose to overstep its bounderies as our governent is doing (yes yes under Bush as well) .
I could say the same that some socially right people mistake "socialist systems" with duties of the government, like healthcare. The problem with American healthcare is that it is the most expensive in the world and it does not even cover everybody like in other countries and that is what you need to get rid of first is to cut the costs that only benefit a certain proportion of the population.
What about government space program or public education or CIA.. are they government duties.. I cannot find them in the constitution. They must be socialist systems. Down with the education. People must have the right to be ignorant and unhealthy. USA USA
Findlanderxx, No where in canstitution it say that government has the duty to provide healthcare. Canstitutional lawyers are now lookinag at this powergrab of the govt. As the matter of fact under the commerce clause governmental restriction of insurance competition between the states is unlawfull(which is one of the reasons why insurance costs so much). Now if you stop making companies buy insurance and let people do it, the price will drop.
And finlanderexx considering that we have the document to go by you can hardly mistake any Government duties as anything but that. The limited power of government has been defined under canstitution.
I think it is better to have content society than lot of anger and suffering between. It is better to balance things out. You cannot be conservative or socialist on every issue. What if the police forces were privatized and only the rich people could report crimes. Socialism is about providing equal rights and resources to every one. But you need regulation also for that to prevent people from abusing it. Both capitalism and socialism have flaws if not regulated properly and that is not easy.
You're right, you cannot be conservative or socialist on every issue. But in america, if some peoe did a better job raising their kids to achieve, we wouldn't have hardly any people begging for the government to rob people with more drive towards success. This country was founded on liberty and the pursuit of happiness through self determination, any time you stifle ANYONE'S liberty and pursuit of happiness, you're choosing tyranny over liberty. Good post though.
And by liberty and the pursuit of happiness, it means INDIVIDUAL liberty and pursuit of happiness. Not collective, finlanderxx. So I suggest you go read the constitution. You don't have to have a degree to understand it. It's plain and simple english.
After reading the constitution, I noticed that it says that right to individual wealth is more important than right to individual health or individual education.
Well now Oreilly had an academic on who claimed that socialist is the new n word. And that the elderly who go to town hall meetings because they were alive prior to the passage of the CRA are racists. Thats 3 for 3 now.Socialism isnt about race, but the SCJ nomination was.
Lets create a 2 party system (so far we have one demoncats party) Lets have a Libretarian party (sounds in name a bit like liberals, so liberals should be fooled easily enough) And second party a Conservative party. Ahh can a person dream?
This guy has his head up is ass. The people who benefited the most were heads of the party, like all socialists

Fascism is to the right of Communism only. As it pertains to American politics.. Fascism would be leftist because the american right is at it's most extreme minarchy or anarchy, you stupid gang banger. Leave it to a dumb fuck who gets his wisdom from Sanyika Shakur, the racist gang banger to think he can school me. lol
gworksnell 2 years ago
First of all, why do you assume that anyone who differs opinion is a liberal or leftist? Not everyone in this country latches on to an extreme. 2nd, history has shown facism to CONTINUOUSLY have been a far right position. How deep up your ass are you pulling your information from? 3rd of all... gangbanger? So first I was a socialist, then a liberal, now a gangbanger... whats next? Terrorist? Teabagger? what?
PS: Im willing to debate you and record it on skype. Lets do it.
Key2daUnderground 2 years ago
@gworksnell You know nothing about American politics. Facism is to the right of Communism...in EUROPE. Socialists (Commis and Facists) are on the left in AMERICAN politics. Conservatives are on the right. Get your political sides right.
swancman 1 year ago
The statement that “Fascism is the far extreme of the Right” is a misstatement when fascists are statists & collectivists looking for progressive utopias. Right versus Left is only a political, not ‘real’ observation. Fascists are quasi-socialists (Statists) who enslave aspects of industry for the will of the State.
For example, Obama is currently nationalizing the automotive and financial industries, so that this fascist may determine their out-put, i.e. more green cars and etc.
islandmuffin 1 year ago
@gworksnell I think you need a, lot more schooling if you think communism is the most right ideology, second to fascism. At least have some dignity and respect history and where the political terms "Left" & "Right" originate from. I'm not even going to begin explaining it, just do your homework better. This is exactly the downside of YouTube, that even people like yourself can post videos.

@Key2daUnderground Actually, Hitler was a socialist. It was called 'National Socialism' which is just authoritative socialism. It's still socialism.
I'm not insulting you or calling you ignorant or unintelligent; I'm just stating fact.
moshpotpaul 1 year ago
@Key2daUnderground mm..... they are socialists.
swancman 1 year ago
@swancman
sure keep saying that.
Key2daUnderground 1 year ago
In order to preserve democracy, the people must me protected from overreaching Government tyranny. Obama along with his fellow socialists, fascists and leftwing progressives Hitler (2nd in election than popularly placed in power), Mugabe, and Chavez were elected, so the ignorant masses can be fooled into giving up their freedoms to the new latest progressive cult of personality.

its creepy to see the faces of people that killed over 150 million people. but anyways Obama makes no denial of being influenced by marxist ideaology but to compare him to past marxist like hitler and mao is dumb, hes not killing off everyone that doesnt do whatever he says like they did.

If we got rid of these handout/lean on the governemnt programs, these lazy beggar socialist democrat voters would have to finally get up and do something for themselves.
gworksnell 2 years ago
Honestly, Ron Paul will NEVER get elected. Do you understand how much the financial markets depend on the federal reserve? Who do you think they get their loans from? Seriously!
Right after 9/11 they dropped the interest rates to absurdly low rates. We now are in a state of surplus goods and delinquint business loans raping our system. bit (d0t) ly /sCMxR
~300 billion interest on federal debt yearly. Repubs want to drop taxes. While in debt.. that could be considered spending technically.
plopo404 2 years ago
Oh I realize you're a socialist liberal now. I think you are on the wrong video.
gworksnell 2 years ago
Oh, I realized your a fascist minority with so much built up anger. I envision it with the scene from Dave Chappelle episode where he's playing a blind KKK leader and a spectator sees the hat fall off. BOOM! His head explodes!
Minus the racist part.. since your a mutt. More of the I'm so angry and I don't know what to do.. *head explodes*
plopo404 2 years ago
LOL, ahaha! I'm the fascist? BWAHAHA! Your boy Obama is the fascist. You damned fool. Do what you liberals always say you do, "Question authority". You might actually get it.
gworksnell 2 years ago
He's a socialist.. not a fascist.. Did he stop them gun toting people at the health care debate? Has he silenced anybody?
plopo404 2 years ago
He's a chicken shit. If he tried he wouldn't be around. The military wouldn't back him. Have fun for the next 4 years. He's taking the democrat party somewhere Bush couldn't even take the republicans. Oh and thanks for the racial slur calling me a mutt. BLOCKED.
gworksnell 2 years ago
I might disagree with that. She had to go to law school etc, to be fair, she did put in the effort to become what she is. I just think she is biased, therefore she wasn't qualified.

Indeed.

ATTENTION! If you come to post on this video talking nonsense. You are blocked. Make a valid point. 1 starring this video won't work, ratings are disabled. lol
gworksnell 2 years ago
If you support the military, public education, fire and police departments or any public infrastructure, you also might be a socialist. Even driving the public road makes you a socialist.
Maybe all along we are just a bunch of socialist cunts. Lets move to Somalia. o/
finlanderxx 2 years ago
No, that is the same dumb line I've heard 1000 times over. Nothing against you.
gworksnell 2 years ago
Yeah I thought so too, but your provocation is bit over used also.
finlanderxx 2 years ago
LOL.. okay.
gworksnell 2 years ago
Finlanderexx, it seems many people who like socialism tend to mistake "Duties of The Government" with socialist systems. Government does play a role in any society indeed, but its not suppose to overstep its bounderies as our governent is doing (yes yes under Bush as well) .
samuils 2 years ago
Amen samuils. You hit it right on the head.
gworksnell 2 years ago
I could say the same that some socially right people mistake "socialist systems" with duties of the government, like healthcare. The problem with American healthcare is that it is the most expensive in the world and it does not even cover everybody like in other countries and that is what you need to get rid of first is to cut the costs that only benefit a certain proportion of the population.
finlanderxx 2 years ago
I could say the same that some socially right people mistake "socialist systems" with duties of the government, like healthcare.
No you cannot. Read the constitution.
gworksnell 2 years ago
What about government space program or public education or CIA.. are they government duties.. I cannot find them in the constitution. They must be socialist systems. Down with the education. People must have the right to be ignorant and unhealthy. USA USA
finlanderxx 2 years ago
Findlanderxx, No where in canstitution it say that government has the duty to provide healthcare. Canstitutional lawyers are now lookinag at this powergrab of the govt. As the matter of fact under the commerce clause governmental restriction of insurance competition between the states is unlawfull(which is one of the reasons why insurance costs so much). Now if you stop making companies buy insurance and let people do it, the price will drop.
samuils 2 years ago 6
And finlanderexx considering that we have the document to go by you can hardly mistake any Government duties as anything but that. The limited power of government has been defined under canstitution.
samuils 2 years ago
You make a very good point.
mrgeorgeallison 2 years ago
I think it is better to have content society than lot of anger and suffering between. It is better to balance things out. You cannot be conservative or socialist on every issue. What if the police forces were privatized and only the rich people could report crimes. Socialism is about providing equal rights and resources to every one. But you need regulation also for that to prevent people from abusing it. Both capitalism and socialism have flaws if not regulated properly and that is not easy.
finlanderxx 2 years ago
The video is very "dramatic" also. Hitler was supposedly a vegetarian also, does that mean all vegetarians are evil? Of course not.
mrgeorgeallison 2 years ago
No. But vegans are crazy for not eating meat, so.....
gworksnell 2 years ago
Good argument...
mrgeorgeallison 2 years ago
lol
gworksnell 2 years ago
You're right, you cannot be conservative or socialist on every issue. But in america, if some peoe did a better job raising their kids to achieve, we wouldn't have hardly any people begging for the government to rob people with more drive towards success. This country was founded on liberty and the pursuit of happiness through self determination, any time you stifle ANYONE'S liberty and pursuit of happiness, you're choosing tyranny over liberty. Good post though.
gworksnell 2 years ago
And by liberty and the pursuit of happiness, it means INDIVIDUAL liberty and pursuit of happiness. Not collective, finlanderxx. So I suggest you go read the constitution. You don't have to have a degree to understand it. It's plain and simple english.
gworksnell 2 years ago
After reading the constitution, I noticed that it says that right to individual wealth is more important than right to individual health or individual education.
finlanderxx 2 years ago
Actually, I think you might be the racist here. Here's a list of Sotomayor's credentials you ass clown:
# More federal judicial experience than any Supreme Court justice in 100 years
# More overall judicial experience than any Supreme Court justice in the past 70 years
# Summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton
# Graduate of Yale Law School and an editor of Yale Law Journal
# Five years' experience as former Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan
