This surgery is only a cosmetic cure. It doesnt cure the medical condition that is happening within Dede's weak immunine system. However, you must see how dede looks now. He looks a lot better, he does still have warts tho. But a lot better, and a lot happier

I'm a half Indonesian and i can tell you it's not all about money and fame. It's nice from Dr. Gaspari to help Dede, but they really wanted to help him. The Indonesian government and doctors behaved so badly and unethical in this documentary. They wouldn't have given Dede the time of day until they heard and American doctor was going to treat him....then all of a sudden they get competitive and want all the glory. So the Government orders Dede to the hospital and ignores Dr. Gaspari's phone calls. This is despicable.
I love how people say they don't care for Dede. If they really didn't care they would have ignored him and the American doctor wouldn't pressed on the fact that he didn't like what they were doing. I wonder if fats would help? Saturated fats or monnounsaturated fats for example, have antimicrobial activity, worts may peel off. Vitamin A also travels in the fats, so it may go in better. DIM, in broccoli or as a supplement has chemotherapy properties.

Interestingly there are chemo properties in DIM or Sulforaphane, and antivital properties (cruciferous vegetables) also coconut (antiviral) and cholostrum. Good nutrition would not the virus out, loads of carrot juice. Garlic/onion (antiviral).

The main thing is the programme tells us he already has hepatitis and TB, so his immune system is low. He may likely have malnutrition, especially carotenoids (a couple of pints of carrot juice) maybe a good start! High fatty diet (fish/meat) may help increase his vitamin A, D and E but also zinc. Green vegetables/raw foods, may of been cheaper, perhaps successful, I do not know 4 sure!
@Catherine8raw His immune system was already low before the TB and Hepatitis hit. He had an accident where he cut his knee I believe, when he was a teenager, and he got the HPV infection. But unfortunately his immune system was unable to beat it so he grew into a "tree man". The doctors in Indonesia didn't start taking interest until the US doctor stepped in. All of those things you mentioned would help but giving him immune cells though more expensive would help even faster.
God, what a circus they have made of this poor man's affliction.. All because, and this is strictly my opinion, the Indonesian govt heard that Dede was seeking treatment from somewhere else and perhaps they felt that it would help them save face by stepping in and "taking over" as they so bluntly put it. The Indonesian government and doctors behaved so badly and unethical in this documentary. They wouldn't have given Dede the time of day until they heard and American doctor was going to treat him....then all of a sudden they get competitive and want all the glory. So the Government orders Dede to the hospital and ignores Dr. Gaspari's phone calls. This is despicable.

I love how people say they don't care for Dede. If they really didn't care they would have ignored him and the American doctor wouldn't pressed on the fact that he didn't like what they were doing. Sure the American doctor wants to get some credit for it but it's also a chance to do very very rare research. So stfu at least he's getting help. He's not bitching about it why should you?

God some comments really annoy me. You think the American doctor is trying to find a way to cure him out of the goodness of his heart, what because he is American? Of course not, he is doing it for the fame, prestige, and a chance to do some rare research. It's not a bad thing, it is of benefit to both of them, his career and Dede's health, but still.
Because it is a non American organisation doing it it must be for all the wrong reasons.

@Throthgar true, but you're ignoring the fact that Dede wanted help initially from Dr. Gaspari until he was forced by the Indonesian government to be treated by them. How can you defend that?? Shouldn't he be able to choose who he's treated by?? And i can guarantee you he would've been treated a lot better if he had been gone to the US, not like some media monkey by the Indonesian government.

Indonesia's surgery is primitive&borderline barbaric.poor dede.what he went through to get where he is now was HELL!!!thank GOD that he is now(today) happy&cured w/ a normal,enjoyable life.well,i can't say completely enjoyable,they live in poverty,but @ least he doesn't have to live w/those gnarled tree-like warts.i have seen a recant pics of him & he looks happy & a great deal better.thank GOD 4 the American doctor w/out him they would have no idea what 2 do.bless dede.i wish him a great life.

I wonder if fats would help? Saturated fats or monnounsaturated fats for example, have antimicrobial activity, worts may peel off. Vitamin A also travels in the fats, so it may go in better. DIM, in broccoli or as a supplement has chemotherapy properties.

Immunostimulating = vitamin A, E, beta carotene (cholesterol & vit D) = get rid of his TB. Milk thistle for his hepatitis. Lifting the natural killer cells, testing magnesium RBC, this does alsorts to mature cells so they become killer (USEFUL) cells. Interestingly there are chemo properties in DIM or Sulforaphane, and antivital properties (cruciferous vegetables) also coconut (antiviral) and cholostrum. Good nutrition would not the virus out, loads of carrot juice. Garlic/onion (antiviral).

@Catherine8raw Yea. And that would be a lot cheaper too huh? Compared to the expensive Interfeuron treatments that the US doctor decided on. Natural stuff always works better as is easier to get. But then again in Indonesia they probably don't have all that either. It's pretty incredible what wonders a simple multivitamin can do for a person too. Unfortunately this story seemed to be more about the Indonesian doctors getting positive publicity than helping Dede from the inside out.

@bobolob Indonesian doctors have spend so much money on him, its weired! It is not fair on other patients! The main thing is the programme tells us he already has hepatitis and TB, so his immune system is low. He may likely have malnutrition, especially carotenoids (a couple of pints of carrot juice) maybe a good start! High fatty diet (fish/meat) may help increase his vitamin A, D and E but also zinc. Green vegetables/raw foods, may of been cheaper, perhaps successful, I do not know 4 sure!

@Catherine8raw His immune system was already low before the TB and Hepatitis hit. He had an accident where he cut his knee I believe, when he was a teenager, and he got the HPV infection. But unfortunately his immune system was unable to beat it so he grew into a "tree man". The doctors in Indonesia didn't start taking interest until the US doctor stepped in. All of those things you mentioned would help but giving him immune cells though more expensive would help even faster.

God, what a circus they have made of this poor man's affliction.. All because, and this is strictly my opinion, the Indonesian govt heard that Dede was seeking treatment from somewhere else and perhaps they felt that it would help them save face by stepping in and "taking over" as they so bluntly put it. I don't think it was about helping this unfortunate soul at all... more like making themselves look like the saviors they should have been 10 years ago when he first came to them for help.

It's sad how the Indonesian doctors treat Dede like a trick monkey in front of the press. They're like "Look what we did! Haha, we're so awesome!" meanwhile poor Dede just puts up with being overwhelmed with dozens of people shoving cameras in his face... I hope they find a permanent solution to help :(

They should have listen to that doctor coming from the States. He is right to point out the risk of recurrence and serious damage to the patients health and well being. Indonesian doctors makes this really a show of grandeur to think they can cure the poor guy and that they are much better. Well in fact they failed as they never really solved the problem at all. worst thing is to do harm than good.
