Hello, I Love the Carol Kidd version of Seven Daffodils, do you know where I can get M-P3 ? by the way It's been my nick name of 78 years, so it"s special to me..thank you for your response..
John Sebris died suddenly and recently. His wife Maureen still insists he wrote most (not all )of the song and sold it to the Weavers. Anyway, at his funeral there was a beautiful vase of seven daffodils in honor of him and the song. I will miss his talent
This is what I know about this song. It was a favorite of ours for the class of 1964, Sacred Heart Academy, Hempstead, NY I moved to Florida (Fort Myers) in 1986. I met a lady named Maureen Sebris. Turns out her husband ,John was a back up guitar player to the Clancy brothers. He really was cool and knew the words to every song. I asked " Do you know the song seven daffodils. Turns out John Sebtris wrote the song and sold it to the Wevers for 50 dollars
i was born 1958, i dont know how i missed this song while i was growing up.. if you happen to see mr john tell him i only heard this song in 2008 here in youtube and thank him from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful song

not true. the song was written by lee hays of the weavers and his sister who remembered fragments of an old southern poem by this name.
