You can actually help work towards a cure for cancer and many other diseases by watching the video on my channel. Your computer can actually be used as a scientific research tool.
My dad died of this, he was 45, he had it for 2yrs so he was 43 when first spotted, I'm now 37 I go every year on my birthday for a PSA test, but they've told me it's not a reliable test, so what's the bloody point?? I still go none the less..... I have two beautiful kids & I don't want to leave them like my dad left me, albeit not his doing..? So if you have a history of this in your family, PLEASE! Go & get checked out, it's a quick blood test, that's all...... Think of your kids or family!!
I have been VOLUNTEERING with the Cure Drive almost 20 years. Cured my own herpes - 2 kinds - HSV-1 and 2-- got it in '66 -- 28 years of outbreaks. I have helped people cure cancer, Graves' disease, lupus, CFS, fibromyalgia, FLU, many others - the main movie on CureDrive's Channel is me helping someone cure LEUKEMIA. Call me - I will help you - I'm Bayard Henry Barnes on Facebook.
Debbie Downer, prostate cancer cannot be "detected" by the PSA test. An increasing PSA index merely indicates that the blood is reacting to some changes in the body, so the doctor may order a prostate biopsy---that is the only sure way of determining that cancer has sprung.
@allegrobas You're quite right. The PSA blood test is just a simple way of screening men and selecting for biopsy those who might have a problem. That said, all men over 50 should have one; it might save your life - it saved mine!
@johntheant "OH GOD I DONT WANT TO GET PROSTATE EXAMS IT MIGHT HURT AND WORSE"
Dying of prostate cancer hurts even more - plus you have plenty of time to regret the opportunities you didn't take to get screened.
"THEY STUFF THEIR HAND UP YOUR ASS" Not a whole hand! Just one finger. Yes, it's uncomfortable but it's only for a few seconds and it could help save your life.
Prostate cancer is the commonest cancer among men.
However I am not going to let this little lump of **** get me down. So anyone in same position and reading this, there are lots of treatments today. I am a sixties headcase and that was a great time for so much. However I am lucky that I have this today and not back then, when well.......... So rock and roll. I will listen to Youtube music, 60's of course and just forget about the little ****. There are if you want them lots of support groups out there. Meetings even. Take care you Patients.
Just been diagnosed with low grade prostate cancer. Still a cancer, but have caught it early it seems and treatment today is very positive. So will have it out if necessary. I am 61 and sure as hell will not miss it or the cancer. Looking forward to the next 25 years and can't wait for treatment and getting it out of the way. Have a urinary infection at present due to biopsy, am more fed up with that than my cancer results, as I am feeling a bit lethargic. Antibiotics always make me down.
@TheDavidjoy I've just had a robotic prostatectomy for early prostate cancer. I tell you, the anticipation is far worse than the actual surgery, and you'll just love the anaesthetic which is a way cool drug called Propofol. I had my test results back today and it looks like the cancer's all gone, and I'm recovering nicely from the operation. I've still got some way to go but I can look forward to getting my life back.
I go for PSA tests and check ups every six months and take a drug called Avodart which shrinks the prostate. Bad news it lowers your sex drive. But so what? My cancer tests have come back negative. Good bye sex, but hello life.
I have been having PSA tests since I turned 50, and last year the Doctor detected cancer. All men over 50 should have this test. I am awaiting operation to remove prostate.
well.I was surprised how calm I was on the way to the OR..after surgery have lots of pain, but I was managed my pain with otc pain killers..I am back to work now,2 weeks ago traveled to Europe, and last week my doctor let me know my PSA result.wich is 0.5...Iam Cancer free!!!
I did an interview with author Robert Marckini of You Can Beat Prostate Cancer. You can check it out on my youtube channel. I hope it helps people out there.
not to be a DEBBIE DOWNER but my dad was recently diagonised with prostate cancer and he does not drink, smoke, and exercises religiously. His diet has always been very healthy with supplements, vitamins, and vegetables. CANCER does not discriminate. Prostate cancer can be detected by a blood test "PSA". Do IT GUYS!! what do you have to lose?
@hilarysmom my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer as well. but he got early detection and he is now a cancer survivor. I'm so proud of him and I thank God everyday for that blessing :)
a good diet is the best thing you can do to prevent it, eat broccoli, broccoli is good for everything and prevents cancer. Fiber is important too. exercise and don't smoke or drink.
@tia4ever2 Hey! Don't say that! There are more good points to being male then being female. Well of course, females don't get prostate cancer, but they get breast cancer and cervical cancer. Also it's easier being a boy coz u have less responsibilities :D
@ComedyLoverGirl Arent u a girl? Lol but yeah I know what you mean but im saying sometimes its good to be a female other times its better to be a male but both genders have thier issues.
then ur gonna have to deal with more other cancer issues like cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, endometrial cancer and the list goes on..... ;)
Good luck dad.

Broccoli - my favourite vegetable, but I like them all.
Salads - love 'em.
Cooked tomatoes - delicious.
Exercise - 30 mins each day.
Red meat - in moderation.
Alcohol - gave up 20 years ago but I never was a heavy drinker.
Tobacco - never smoked in my entire life, not even one cigarette.
Supplements - a daily multivit and cod liver oil capsule.
And still I went down with prostate cancer! I guess there ain't no justice when it comes to cancer.
