Again for the record, I do wheel the hell out of this Jeep and it now has beadlocked aluminum wheels instead of the wheels in the video (I was planning internal beadlocks), superior axles, longfields, atlas 4spd, Poly rockers, RROR steel fenders, real bumpers, and LOTS more. I built this Jeep to wheel and it does it pretty well.

WOW, I had no idea this video would turn into a debate on auto vs. stick. I guess I'll throw in some info....

The torque converter essentially lowers your gearing so an auto with the same first gear as a stick will crawl slower. I actually prefer a stick off road but the auto on the street. I bought an auto cause my GF is paralyzed but can drive an auto with hand controls.

@Robinson4643 the stick helps alot tho i have a jk jeep with 35 inch tires and with out being able to control the rpm's i would have some trouble on the trails and even on getting up roads on the street it is annoying in traffic but it helps more than anything and my jeep is still slow and it would be even slower with out being able to shit manually

Seems kind of fast for a 10.3 low range? What ratio is your 1st gear and axles? My truck with only a 2.72 low range idles about that speed in 4 low (but it does have 5.79 granny gear and 4.10 axles giving it a 65:1 crawl ratio)

It's tough to tell from the video, but it kinda looks like an old Currie twin stick setup.

If so, that would be a crawl ratio of 92:1 for the automatic, and 262:1 for the manual trans.

Its an Atlas II 4 speed transfercase. It is basically an Atlas transfercase behind an additional planetary box that provides additional gearing. Total transfercase gear reduction is 10.3:1! The 2 shifters you see are the 2 for the Atlas (front& rear) and the 3rd shifter is under the driver seat.
