Därav bröt de ner Jugoslavien i mindre enheter med hjälp av nationalism och sedan avvecklades enheternas arméer. De nya republikernas s k arméer skulle inte kunna stoppa ett större jaktlag.
De har oss precis där de ville: inte starka nog att kunna utgöra motstånd mot NATO, men inte så svaga att vi inte kan agera kanonmat åt NATO.

I don't know why Yugoslavia specifically.
But due to Americas involvement in training and equipping the Afghans in the Soviet Afghan war meant the Soviets retreated, and Terrorist were born.
The Soviet Union broke up in the eraly 90s, less than ten years later 9/11 happened.
That's the only thing I can think of on why they put that there.
