I'm also a lyme disease sufferer and have had the 8 months of intravenious & oral antibiotics. I've completed 40 treatments of hyperberics and still there's no change or improvement in my condition. Don't believe in Healing Chambers of America. Also, there was a lady there getting the hyperberics @ the same time as I was and she doesn't feel that there has been any changes in her condition as well

I am NOT convinced Julie is well at all, she looks symptomatic. Her eyes, body language, weak voice, give it away. She may feel better but shes not okay.

I have lyme and did HBOT my 3rd year into the diagnosis. I did 2 dives a day for one month. It made me sicker and permanently ruined my eyesight. Babesia thrives in 100% oxygen and I was not tested or diagnosed with babesia until 3 years after HBOT.

@SeaLizzie There are 2kinds of Lyme natural and bioweaponized and no test let alone official recognition that this is the case. Add to that each person's own unique genetically given status plus/minus what else has damaged that such as other infections, environmental toxins, etc. and who knows who has what to start with? It is extremely hard to compare individual cases without some superfunded research (an recognition of bioweapon Lyme which comes intentionally packaged with other co-infections.

Sad truth? High IQs do not equal common sense. MDs can be as small-minded as anyone, most assuredly when they sense a disconnect between their wallets & accurate care. Pathetic.

For all it's value, traditional medicine is often quite behind the curve of creative thinking in patient care. MDs are ingrained with a "drugs first - drugs till death" mentality that stunts their minds & kills thousands. We simply must take charge of our own care.

the reporter said that hyperbarics are now used for less serious medical conditions. let me assure you that lyme disease is not a "less serious disease". lyme can kill you or make you wish you were dead. thank you for this information many people including my daughter need this therapy but cannot afford the treatments. if any one can give info on how she could get financial help for hyperbaric oxygen please post. thank you

"All that oxygen"???? At high pressures it produces reactive oxygen species (ROS aka free radicals) and the spirochete cannot defend themselves against the body's use of ROS. Now the good thing: after the HBOT Tx, the body sweeps up excess free radicals with super oxide dismutase.

As for safety? One million HBOT Tx EACH DAY in the U.S.. One fatality in 70 years. Safer than surgery in your local hospital!

Hey guys....PLEASE register at the Oprah Winfrey website and let her know how much you would like to see her do a show on Lyme disease. Dr. Oz thinks the "UNDER OUR SKIN" documentary is wonderful but a show about Lyme won't be done unless she sees lots of interest. Request that LLMDS and patients be the guests so that we can be heard. Also, Daryl Hall would make a great guest. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER !

I got awesome results from hyperbarics & high colonics. Which that last part is really so hard to tell people about but Man it works more than anything you will find on this planet next to hyperbarics & stem cell treatment. My brain started clicking on after my fourth treatment. An 18 wheeler could hit your car but there are people putting hyperbarics down & telling people it's crazy! No they are crazy & it's much safer than anything else.

Hyperbarics is a good adjunct for Lyme... but a word of caution. It seems as though most chronic Lymers have co-infection issues also.

Babesia lives inside red blood cells (which of course carry O2) and therefore may thrive in a hyperoxygenated enviroment. Dealing with the Babesia should be accomplished BEFORE undergoing hyperbarics. At least that is what I am told by my LLMD.

I can't remember what pressure, but I have an HBO treatment tomorrow, so I'll ask what the pressure is and get back to you. And I stay in the machine for an hour and a half.

if this is such a cure all why isn't it more popular and more importantly why is it so expensive...I read that certain countries in Europe won't allow any form of surgery including dental to take place without the use of hyperbarics both before the procedure and after.....

really weird this is so expensive. How much current this machine eats to produce some pressure and pump some pure oxygen ? Maybe drs time is what is so expensive.
