  • hello my friend...i looked all over for this heli...i even tried ebay...do you know where i can get it

  • mine is hard to drive only got it today HELP

  • Very nice, I started with a T-rex 450 (very stable! hands free hover!!) but I just got a Gaui 425 that I'm building to a 550. Looks very stable and easy to fly (not to question your skills lol) Great flying!

  • Coool, but keep distance, look At "heli injury video" on youtube

  • were did ya get the heli

  • Great flying and an awesome helicopter.. I was thinking about the Gaui 550 and after seeing your video I bought one.. can't wait to test it!

  • Nice flying and great control , beautiful looking Hurricane 550 Heli too, hope to see it back up and flying again soon

  • how much was that heli?

  • wow perfect fly you are a great pilot

  • Nice flying, get back at it you'll be rusty, but stick with your good, 5 months and your that smooth, I have been at for 2 month now and Sr is still all over the place lol. good job!

  • Thanks guys. I have been busy with work and haven't flown for a while - really must dust her off :)

  • yup thats how stable a helicopter should fly, I been flying for amost 20 years, first on rc, then full size fixed wing aircraft. I guess it helped a lot with heli's, I mastered 3ch heli in about 5 minutes, and it already bugged the hell outta me you cant move sideways,, guess I'm buying a 4 channel heli soon, I'll never try inverted lol awesome job dude

  • wow what a stable heli! you fly it very well.

  • Wow that looks like one hell of a chopper for a beginner... I just got my first yesterday with the Blade MCX2, nothing compared to yours.

  • Thanks for this video. I went onto HobbyKing and ordered one as a result. (currently putting in lots of hours on RealFlight)

Did you paint the tops of the blades to help with bank orientation? Whether you did it for that reason or not, I will do it too, as I think it would definitely help.

  • Very impressed with you flying ,. i've been told to stay away from the smaller heli's like the t-rex purely because of the stabillity, i've been told to get something bigger like the hurricane 550......what's your opinion on the subject.

I know here in brisbane the importer taiwa sell them, but just wondering if you have had any problems getting spare parts,i'm just worried if i get a hurricane that they may stop importing guai products.

Finally can you give me a run down of your setup.

  • Hi, i to am a newbie to any kind of RC myself and am impressed with your heli control skills they are very good considering you've only been flying for 5 months. Tell me, did you ever crash and if so how many times. I've been learning for about 3 months now and am starting to get some enjoyment now. Keep up the great flying!

  • @CABINETMAKERJOHNY

Yes I crashed numerous times! I pushed the boundaries plenty of times and paid the price! Thats one of the reasons I love this heli - the repair costs don't break the bank.

The sim is a great place to try new orientations and manouvers but at some point you have to try it for real. Keep up the good work fellars, progress really only comes down to flyer often. I flew a couple of packs every afternoon while learning, mostly in my backyard early on.

    Happy flying!

  • I just posted my first four flights on this same heli...no where near as good as you...got the hovering down pretty good...working on 45 and 90 degree hovering...after that will move it a foot or two right, then left, then back and forth (figure eights) Going to try flying more packs as I have only been doing one pack when I fly...I think I will make faster progress if I fly several

  • Nice flying, looks like you have really good control. I skipped the basics with my sim and now I'm really battling to progress.

  • this or 500trex

  • very nice flying there buddy!!

  • wow you have great control!

  • Are you using heli command or some electric stabiliser?

  • seanlee74, no fancy stabilisers on my heli Mate! That is how stable the Hurricane 550 is. Fantastic heli to fly.

  • Very accomplished flying, well done after 5 months thats amazing, keep it up

  • Lovely smooth flying. Is the big Gaui really that stable? My 200 is like a wild thing!

  • Thanks guys, yes the tail is belt driven, and there actually was more space than it looks!

  • You have some Big Nutzzz hovering and doing circles and 8's in low hanging trees. Nice flying though.

  • nice flying is that belt driven

  • hey man thats some nice flying,

  • Thanks for the kind comments guys, it is realy satisfying flying once you master the basics. Happy Flying :)

  • I've watched many RC Heli flying videos but this has got to be one of my favourites and deserves 5 stars. The turns are nice, smooth and well coordinated. All this in five months is well impressive. This video has inspired me.

  • That was very very smooth flight I enjoyed the video a lot 5 stars

  • Im guessing you sim alot? Nice job!

  • i have never flown a heli but i can tell you are really good! nice

  • Very Nice for only 5 months =) very good hovering/circuits/nose-in =)

  • you must have flown around twice a day for 5 months!

  • very nice .. this reminds me of working out and proper form.. you see people lifting weights waaay too heavy for them so they jerk and throw it around to look good.. instead of using lower weights and proper form.. you are using proper form and have complete control and understanding of the dynamics.. very good progress.. this is the way to learn..

  • nicely flown! total control... i like your flying style...just relaxed... you can see it too on your body language...total control;)! have a look at my vid's... Jeremy ESP is the latest...my dad is now been flying for 5 months too... just like my dad... Greets and keep it up!!

  • ive been flying for three months and i can finnaly hover nose in,tho im that comfortable with flying my heli yet

  • Very nice mate. I wish I had the confidence to try those turns. I am only 2 months into learning how to fly. Hopefully with another 3 months, I will be as good as that :).

  • mannn - you are better than me after 5 months and i've been learning for nearly 2 years!

Well done.... I don't think I'm a slow learner - just average, but you are a natural...

  • Thanks mate - I did a lot of practice!

  • actually quite good!

    the turns are very coordinated.

At the beginning one will find it hard to really push the heli "round the corner", at least i did...

    but this looks really good.

  • how much did it cost for that

  • Wow!!!

    Nice Flying..

  • How did you start helis?

  • Thanks Jangatayo & Swashout.

Yes it is a nice spot to spend a weekend!

I actually did my first inverted hovers last weekend!! Wahoo - hope to get a vid up soon.

  • Love the vid you are doing great what a peaceful place to fly.

  • Very nice smooth turns. : )

  • At the 5th month you are already at F8...that's a great achivement! I'll use ur video as my inspiration :) Thanks for the video bro :)

  • Thanks mate, put the practise in & you'll get there!

  • Very nice my friend :)

Nice turns and graet nose-in landing at the end ;)

Hope I can get to that level soon with my Gaui 550

  • Thanks Nick. If you have a Hurri 550 mate you have a fantastic heli to learn on. All you have to do is put in the practise! I really think the Hurri 550's stability & smooth flight characteristics have helped me progress quickly.

  • Nice man, very controlled. Not an easy thing to do in a confined area too.

  • Thanks guys, it's a very rewarding hobby!
