  • That looks awesome! The cinematography and the lighting look incredible! Like some really big budget stuff! Great job guys! Keep up the good work!

BTW:Did you use the LEX also in the night scenes?

  • Did you use dvcpro, dvcprohd tapes or P2 card to make this film?

  • @Phekszi, the HVX only records HD to card. It records DV to tape (standard def only). So we used P2 cards shooting 1080 24 (over 60i) except for slow motion which was 720p 60, later slowed down to 24. "

    Thanks!

  • What was the equipment to rec?

  • @imjustthesexmacine this was shot on a HVX 200 with a prototyp Letus Extreme 35mm adapter and some nice nikon and canon still camera lenses.

  • when is this coming out?

  • @NC420Reform it's a short film and has already been out at festivals. As for some kind of release, it will come out on a compilation DVD, and a Lighting for Film and Video training DVD but I don't have dates yet.

  • Cool news on this short film...the director Jack Daniel Stanley is kind of busy, so I thought I would mention this. A Little Mouth to Feed will screen at Fright Night Film Festival THIS Friday (Aug 14 2009) and Jack IS a special guest. PLUS, it also screens this weekend at the Toronto After Dark Film Fest!!!

  • cool. what part of town is that house in? i'll subscribe so keep us posted.

  • I don't know exactly the name of the part of town since I'm not local, but that's not a real house, the inside at least, it's a set in producer Barry Green's garage.

Click here and you can see some of the walls struck. This is the DP and I facing the wall where the African American lady, Patti Briscoe is standing in a doorway and looks back over her shoulder. The plastic is for blood spatter : )
