STI's and EVO's are both terrible drift cars. It is better to go rear wheel drive. It is a must in drifting.

I pretty sure that I am not Helen Keller and I can see that this EVO has been made a rear wheel drive car but it is still a terrible base car.

EVO's have an ACD.. It allows you to adjust to 3 settings, snow, tarmac, or gravel. Each setting swaps the torque distrobution between front and rear. If you get the non us version car you'll also get Super Active Yaw Control which will swap the power left and right ;).

the car was 4 wheel drive, it was not converted to rear drive, it was set up how I was rallying it all year, the Evos drift great and I loved that car

yea for U turns the E brake is very helpful in AWD..but if its not such a dramatic turn all u need is too floor the gas and cut the wheel.

put a turbo in, get TCS off, and u could probably drift AWD, its fucking hard, but with practice, u could probably make the turbo pull the back wheels into a drift, idk about the front wheels, so i guess its not really a real drift, but it works?

evos are really good grip cars, im sure u have to be a super pro just to let it loose grip

yeah hes drifting. but the lines are SHITTY. im not saying hes not drifting, he is technically but the fact is that its not as plausible to drift an AWD car for many reasons. one being theres just more shit to break and two it makes the car alot heavier. its possible to drift an AWD but it definitely doesn't produce the results that RWD does, if it did more ppl would do it.

Actually I was the driver, Rhyce Built the car and I won the US champianship in the car, his shop did the prep work(hence the RMR on the car) and I was pissed as they called me Rhyce right until the last part of the video, Rhyce is a hell of a driver though

If I'm not mistaking, I think that Reese Millen the former WRC driver and now he is very well known in the D1 competition. I was there at this show in 2004 JGTC event, again if I'm not mistaken. Owen, if you think that he's not so good at drifting, you should go see him drift in person. Why else is he known for the top drifter battling for the U.S. in the D1 Grand prix.

Did you even watch the video? Considering I've been going to the D1GP every year since I was twelve I think I know how to judge if someone is drifting or not, and that guy is definitely getting it sideways, which is really difficult considering that what he's driving is 4WD.

actually, you can. as long as you have enough power to overcome the tires and the system, or set the system to a weak setting, then u can drift 4wd/awd. and notice he's not putting a lot of countersteer.

y not a fwd? i've seen a civic beat out skylines in going sideways without a rwd conversion. its not as much fun as a rwd but its still possible, always on the e-brake and throttle tho. Keisuke Hatakeyama look him up, hes a pro that drifts fwd

lol yeah but u cant hold the power on n drift. as soon as u put the power on in a FWD car durin a slide it tries to pull u out of the slide n straightens the car up! as long as the rear wheels are pushing the car u can drift so 4WD is fine!
