what i didnt understand though was how to play it, when to pick a card up from the main pile and how to know when u get point cards.

@rcmanization They're all worth point... just depends on how they are collected to determine the value.

@qiranger so basically when playing, both players will keep putting cards on the table until they can spot a 3-pointer or a 7-pointer and then say "stop" or "go" , right?

@rcmanization Yes. When the cards placed in front of the players total 3 or 7 then they can say go or stop. That's why I recommend when first starting out, just play until all the cards are out and total up the points at the end. Helps get familiar with scoring.

@qiranger yeah that was a good tip. Just a question though - when playing with 3/7 to say stop/go...why would one want to say GO ? as I understood it, saying go just gives the opposition the chance to take your points instead :S

@rcmanization When playing for hits or money... going again ads more points. For example, I recently was in a game where the winning score was 7770 thanks to a couple of Go rounds and other multipliers.

It's pretty fun to play, once you get to know all of the cards and figure out what goes with what.

I and my friends play with the Hanafuda deck for shots, instead of money. Makes it fun for parties!
