If you have a metal rod up high enough, even if it is covered in styrofoam and fiberglass, lightning will find it! That is the principle behind the lightning rod. It was only a matter of time. God wasn't "striking down" the "idol". This is simply nature. BTW, this isn't a Catholic Church with the touchdown Jesus.

allah burned this statue down because he wanted all the non belivers to realise use are worshipping a prophet. jesus was a prohphet. so if this was a conincednce of lightening hitting this articular area, how come nothing else was damaged? how come only the statue was completeing banished? lol. if it made such a fire, why didnt the buildding right behind it burn? insallah anyojne looking for the truth finds it, this is not a coincedence.
