you could obviously see he was trying to manouver, so instead of being a typical cyclist why didnt you slow down and let him carry on, he probably couldnt see you til he moved out as having driven an identical van they have dreadful blindspots, maybe more cyclists should appreciate such things, and think more carefully before under taking and going through red lights. Bottom line bikes should be made to have numberplates, insurance, mot and the riders made to have a licence and helmet. job done!

@iib8903 - way to have a rant, man. Helmets are already compulsory in Australia. Do you suggest that people not be allowed to ride bicycles on the road until they're old enough to hold a licence? When should that be? How much per year should parents pay for their 12-year old's bike licence, on top of the cost of the helmet?
