I really love both the anime and the band, and this song on top of it.

The anime, though... it blew me away. I'm actually tearing up as I hear this song, because I miss watching it so much.

It's not something that you can just re-watch hollowly over and over again; it's magic, and once you taste it once, it's gone. At least for a while, until the memories start to fade....

Long story short, the anime is brilliant and beautiful, and MONORAL is an amazing group. I really adore both!

What you said is what i've been thinking ever since i saw the last episode.  really couldn't agree more! Desperately hoping that they'll come out with a second season.. or a movie or something. Wolf's Rain, it's not strictly cyberpunk, but I highly recommend it. Dai Sato wrote for both the series. He also wrote for Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Eureka Seven and other awesome'ness.

gotta love this song... Btw - the anime is about several "proxies" (experimental monsters) who are terrorizing the new 'perfect' world that humans have created. the main characters try to find what, and who, the 'ergo' proxy is. (ergo is the most powerful proxy) it's a tear-jerker ending :"p

One of the best if not the best anime I've seen. The opening theme is by far the best and most appropriate fit for any I've seen. I suggest listening to the full version of the song. It should help clear up the lyrics a bit.

if you really want to enjoy Ergo Proxy, i invite you to get ahold of the Shinsen Subs version. this group adds a frame at the end of every episode that explains alot about what went on and the deeper philosophical meanings behind the references in the series. you are really missing out if you dont chk em out.
