I am looking forward for Versus 13 more than this because I am disappointed about Square Enix.

Because they are now focusing on graphics not storyline and gameplay. In my opinion, FF12 and FF10 were the best because they had a lot of side quests as well as they had a lot of varieties of weapons and magic that really affected the power of your character as well as the game mechanics.

I reckon FF12 was the best game they had made so far gameplay wise and a little bit of storyline.

This game looks like a big improvement from XIII. Though I do wish that they would employ many of the features that VII, VIII, IX, X and X-2. Like their battle systems.

Even so, can't wait to play this. By the way, does XIII-2 have shops where you can buy weapons and items. That's something that XIII really lacked.

Shops are girls in colourful bird costumes now.

Normally there are a few of them in every location, but they all are selling the same stuff.

You can check my full walkthrough in Japanese.

It is 7 hours of video, and the most part of the walkthrough is cutscenes.

You can play quite long if you want to visit every corner of the game, but it is really not very exciting because the game world is very very small.

Don't expect from the game too much. It is very short and has very small world ever.

Can be completed within 15-20 hours.

I doubt there is enough content in this game to play more than 60 hours.

@sorumian Well I'd say that sixty hours is good. I mean i know that I'll probably waste twenty-four+ hours into this. By my standards a game has enough play time if you can log in twnety four hours and still have enough extra stuff to do that could waste a good ten or so hours. Regardless i still plan on buying this because, i love Final Fantasy, and also i have more then enough store credit saved up at GS, so why not?

I never said the optional content was fun.

Significant part of it is tons of minigames, but not actual roaming around.

The world of the game is just too small for any kind of adventure and exploration.

@Xenn000 They're pulling out all the stops for this game. I'm kinda dissappointed Lightning won't be a playable character (the story is centered around Sera's search for her) but it sounds pretty cool. The classic exploration-centered gameplay from the old-school titles returns. The combat system has received MASSIVE additions, including summons and weapons.

I really did hear they were bringing back exploration, even was looking forward to it greatly. New cast of characters obviously means new weapons. When i said summons i meant the pets they promised in the previews. They said you can summon they to help battle.

There is nothing to explore in this game. Its world is just tiny.

@sorumian It may be a trick, but it was a trick that worked fantastically in the Chrono games, and I'm sure it'll work fine with me here. Whether it is a Lake Bresha in ruins and rain, or with snow, they each will have their own feel, bosses, and story, so I'm quite fine with reusing of areas.

The story is the funny part. In short, something bad happened, we have to go. This bad is a bit later called Paradox, and that is it. Basically, it you are unable to invent anything, you just call something Paradox, and then use resolving it as a main goal.

This can be sticked to any story. The problem is it always looks unnatural.

And forget about time travel. It is just jumping from one location to another using some menu. It doesn't feel like time travel.

Well, yes and no.

Sometimes it is ultimately fun. Gran Pulse in particular.

Sometimes it is just screwed up, and is totally not fun at all.

We still don't have adequate leveling system.

Party management doesn't exist because we have only two characters.

Overall the game feels not solid. Like it consists of parts of other games, and this is not how a FF game should be made.

And almost all locations are small, and feel like corridors.

Very controversial game.

This is not the Chinese version. The translation is not official, but overall pretty close to the original text.

Normally there is only one path. It can have some optional things, but it it still one path.

Usually I include only main plot related parts.

Unrelated to the story side quests are normally not included into walkthroughs.

There are exceptions though.
