I never liked Ron Paul but I have to tell ya he is one of the few in Congress who actually stand for something. He puts his principles over his party and he almost never compromises them.
Wait a minute!!!! The statement in that communication is EXACLY!!! His position he is currently running on foreign policy…. *face palm* Sad Dr. Paul, very sad. So if he is elected and we have no position of Iraq after we leave, then it is our fault when (not if) Iran invades Iraq? This is a ridiculous argument and makes him look like a fool.
@kuhioffxi Why do you think Iran is going to invade Iraq? We can't get anything done there what makes you think they think they'll have any more success? Iran was Persia the last time they invaded a country. You know how long ago that was? And what about our country? We're bankrupt and have been for a long time. We can't afford to fight everyone's wars anymore, never could. Why do you care more about Iraq than you do your own country? Please explain.
@TheNavyGuys if he gets assassinated, it will be a good thing and bad thing, the good part would be people will know WHY exactly he got assassinated, and will probably do something about it (please America partake in this....) bad thing...well he's dead..
er......that was the Unites Nations or NATO who ousted Saddam from Kuwait. NOT just the US.
(the US spent a lot of ammo on accidentally shooting down British and Canadian planes, and hitting Red Cross convoys. Luckily the International Force was much more professional than the US.
This was not a US war in the early 1990's, so how can you say the US went against their word. They simply followed internationally recognized procedures and joined the rest of the world in Desert Storm.
The ambassador never gave a "green light" to Saddam to invade Kuwait. Saddam KNEW Kuwait was an ally and that we would definitely condemn any invasion. We would NEVER allow him to control that much of our oil imports. This is just another attempt to mislead people.
Secrets are not to keep our government from being embarrassed; they are to keep our politicians from being accountable to the people they represent and limited by the constitution they are supposed to uphold. Secrets only allow political parties to RULE the people rather than to serve the people.
Ron Paul will FIX the economy for years to come. This is all you have to read, for god sake I hope you read it. Google this: "Abolish The Federal Reserve Act of 1913" I had no idea until I read this. I'm a college student and usauly I mind my oun buisness with this stuff, but just trust me you gatta read this.
Ron Paul will probly finish the takedown of america by consent. its all the same bla bla bla. Lets talk about JUSTICE for whats went on! Aint no liberty without justice.
While Ron Paul is probably the most sane Republican, he still wants to give states all the rights that the federal government currently has. While that sounds great in theory, if you live in the bible belt and you're an atheist, have fun.
There's no way Ron Paul will ever be President. Corporate America won't allow it; the US military industrial complex won't allow it; special interest groups, mainly oil companies and corrupt bankers, won't allow it. As for the first Iraq war, it doesn't surprise me about there being communication between the White House and Saddam, but honestly there's a lot more to the story than what were being told. Still, every war since WWll has been over oil; it's the life blood of all economies.
@Greed4Speed its about the people not the gov or companies. They CAN NOT STOP US, unless we let them through ignorance. all it takes is time to educate people.
If ron paul does not get elected, its okay, he has started something moving. and there are others like him that will step up.
@santiagowechsler Me a defeatist? Based on recent history and post/pre-election polls, most would say I'm a realist. But let's just ignore all that and remain hopefully optimistic ...fingers crossed!
look people ron is a good guy but canhe handle everything like president obama , i dont think so i think he should have a place in goverment , but a leader of the enitre country dont think he can, but ron paul def has a place he is honest and a good man , but not as president and the fact he spends millions and cant firgure this out kinda means he is not very clear, this video he is spot on
This is why I'm voting for Ron Paul. I feel like his religious views are far more easily fought here on U.S. soil, but foreign policy is out of the hands of the American people. This is why we need a president that will fix government corruption overseas.
@irr3v i dont think ron paul can run the country i think we need him in goverment but not as leader, but he is a good guy and honest this video he is spot on , except this president ended the iraqi war, and took it where it should have been from the beginning, i wish story would be picked up on major news show and repeated over and over like some of the other dumb news ,hard to fi nd any truth on the local news channels
I can't believe that this guy is running for President. He grilled Ben Bernake on the financial crisis. He has 20 years of service in Congress. He wants to end our wars abroad. He has just brought to light a conspiracy about the past 10 year Iraq war. What an idiot. [sarcasm]
@berlinbrown03 He brought to light? If someone did, that was Wikileaks and not him. He just addressed this in congress. Also this was already partly know if you don't just watch the stupid American mainstream media. And his great ideas regarding financial politics ... where the hell are you going to get all the gold he would need for his gold standard? It is great to talk if you aren't at power and if you suggest things congress would never agree on ...
@d4rkf1ght3r You do realize that Fort Knox is still full, also many banks still stockpile gold in their vaults as assets. There would be plenty of gold to back the american currency to where it should be and not as inflated as it is now. And we don't have to have a pure gold standard. You can use all sorts of valuable/strategic metals or other commodities or assets. The idea is to have the money backed up by a supply of something real and valued to keep it from being printed unfettered.
@Eviscero.... I guess you just don't listen well. What the cable said is that the US was going to remain neutral in the matter....get it....that we weren't going to use it as an excuse to come over there and wage war. That's what the cable said. It shows that our word means absolutely nothing!

@turcca he said absolutely nothing about evolution or abortion! dont get hung up on issues that fall outside executive power anyway. most important thing is that he is the ONLY candidate out there that would end the wars and excessive militarism immediately. after Ron Paul ends the wars we can start thinking about electing a democrat who will invest in free and high quality higher education for all Americans, only after the wars are ended
SHUT THE FUCK UP!! My girfriend would have 6 babies that I would have to support if she wasn't able to abort them. We need to support her right to abort babies because we can't afford condoms and, well, we don't even want to buy condoms since her uncle is a doctor.
@turcca I know I can, thanks. Well I hope that whomever you choose to support is serious about ending the wars. And soon! before more senseless deaths of our troops
@turcca Why on Earth could you not endorse this guy? I mean, if the Constitution is important to you who else could you possibly endorse? Freedom isn't anything to be afraid of.
@turcca So, you will vote for a guy that is pro choice and believes in some guy's theory about where we came from even though he'll send all our jobs overseas, devalue our dollar, get us into six undeclared wars of imperialism, bail out the rich and stiff you with the bill? Are those two things you are concerned about really a priority over the other stuff? I promise you abortion won't even come up in Paul's administration. Too much other stuff to do. Evolution?? What? How does that matter?
And I just have to say, I'm looking around at the world around me. Everyone broke, our unjustified wars killing millions abroad, the transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich and "Theory of Evolution" doesn't even register on "things that mean a hill of beans". Sorry, I'm still blown away by that.
@turcca Republicans can't do anything about abortion on the federal level because it's a wedge issue. If Republicans ever banned abortion at the federal level, they the christian vote would erode because in many cases it's the ONLY reason they vote republican. There's reason to worry on the state level, but not the federal level. They have to keep the issue alive in order to guarantee evangelical/social conservative turnout. Remember, the Moral Majority's first candidate was Jimmy Carter.
@raceyblood Of course I mean these things respectfully, I just can't believe you're looking at abortion and one opinion on where mankind came from as a basis for endorsement with all that is facing us. It's unreal. As far as abortion goes, Paul is very non-committal about that. He answers very generically what he believes, but he doesn't believe in forcing his opinions on us. He goes ONLY by the Constitution. Not religion or anything else.
"after Ron Paul ends the wars we can start thinking about electing a democrat..."
That will ruin everything Ron Paul accomplishes and put the country back down the toilet, especially if you're talking about "free" higher education. Way to immediately destroy a nation. LOL.
@santiagowechsler Wish I could give a thumbs sideways on this. First part is great, the second part... man that's tough buying into the Democrat scam. Their administrations and voting records are 50% of the reason we are where we are today, The previous Republican administrations being the other 50%. Unless that Democrat adheres to the Constitution the way Paul does they should be disqualified as well.
@raceyblood I think we can wholeheartedly agree that both parties use and name the constitution whenever it pleases their corporate contributors... Democrats and Republicans no longer exist as people that stand for different interests- they both stand for corporate/statist power. I think we can have great development projects and community organized social programs (perhaps better kept at a state level). What matters is the level of commitment candidates have for doing the right thing.

Here, I'm going to make it as simple as possible:

2. "Front-runner" Candidate gets elected.
3. "Representatives" give BILLIONS in "aid" to the militaries all over the world with the condition that the "aid" be used to "buy American."
4. The Military Industrial Complex makes TRILLIONS of dollars.
5. Go to step 1.
