This is a beautiful melody.. I wonder why so many Eurovision winners from the 70's sound like stupid carnival music (Abba's "Waterloo" being and exception), when there were beautiful songs every year that desrved to win.
Great song and great vocals by Mrs. Nikolaysen. Probably not the best choice for Eurovision, but it still sounds magical and suggestive. I love it. I actually love most of the Norwegian ESC songs in the 70s, such as vamp Anne-Karine Strom and lovely Anita Skorgan. What a times...
I am sorry but this song has been with me since I first heared it as a preview song for Norway, I think it is a beautiful song and beautifully sung. What are the judges doing this year? I dont think they judged it very well, what with this and Germanys song finishing near the bottom both should have been at the very top,
I think the more bittersweet Norwegian lyrics suit this tune better. I still like it, and I like "Opus" and "Lys og mørke" even better. I imagine the Norwegians thought they had it in the bag, as Ellen brought home the grand prize at the Yamaha World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo the year before (for "You Made Me Feel I Could Fly", which was released as the single B-side to this in Europe).

Well actually she is a very well known entertainer in Norway, after starring in several popular musicals through the 1990s and upwards.

This song is really beautiful and Ellen sings so beautifully, probably the best Norwegian song ever (IMO)

This was the way far worst song that year. The melody is not edgy enough it just hasn't any highs and lows.

Rubbish. Cannot agree with that comment in any shape or form. Were you out of the room when the Portugeuese effort was on?

this is one of the most beautiful songs in eurovision history
