  • Both have No technique...At the end I c boxing. Then why train WC, You better train Boxing.

  • thats in U.S International kuo shu!! pretty good!! Congrats man!

  • typicall for americans, thats their own wing chun^^

    bar fighting!!

  • Come on guys... this is an excellent demonstration of wing chun! Too many Wing Chun students and teachers are scared of hard application so they just stick to chi sau, forms and robotic drills. Mainstream wing chun as practised by most schools has become a slave to theory. Forms and chi sau are essential for drilling techniques - but they are not actual fighting. By engaging in competition, the students in these videos are applying the true spirit and heart of wing chun! RESPECT!

  • too bad the none wing chunners were all crap, so there is no satisfaction for us chunners to see a win

  • wow wing chun is sooo beautiful in the movies. but here its like u just roll your fist till u hit some1.

  • Weak fights. I have trouble seeing the Wing chun in these bar fights called matches. Wing chun is about control, control yourself and control your opponent. I did not see any real control in these matches. Both fighters were simply swinging from the rafter trying to hit each other. What's wrong with trying to block and counter-attack? I am just surprised they didn't break their arms patting each other on the back after too. Like the one guy hit his opponent after the whistle. Classy.

  • the guy who hit after the whistle, was the guy i beat ....he didnt even do wing chun, so what are you even talking about???

  • As far as I can tell, nobody in this video did Wing Chun. But the title is traditional Wing Chun, so I assumed I would see someone doing traditional Wing Chun, but I never saw one person even attempt to do traditional WIng Chun. What am I talking about? It's not like I am speaking German over here. I thought I laid it out pretty simple. I was just disappointed to see this video.

  • I think its funny how people train for years doing WC and they end up fighting like they have no clue what so ever about fighting

  • My buddy competes in this tournament every year. He trains TWC with Bill Beck. He hurt his opponents bad. Wish his vids were on here.

  • Who is your buddy who competes every year in that competition?

  • they r good. i hope theyll b competing this year. 5 stars on d vid n skills.

  • what fiigy is that ? No technic at all, if one of those guys fight a jiu jitsu figther gona regreat how much money theyr spend on this thing

  • n what will u do if the fight doesnt go to the ground mr jujitstu ?

  • Much respect to you guys. Do you know of anywhere in the Northwest that has comps like this?

  • haha look at them, they are pathetic, they forget the main rule in WT, never back down.

Both seems afraid of beeing punched..

  • perhaps you're confused. the wing chun guys are the ones who won. :P

  • and lok yiu wing chun...? you know this kwon? Why you can find here a lot of video about 1000 types of wing chun style but only two videos abaot Lok Yiu system?? think...

  • yeh good but we dont believe reality is wearing protective gear...check out this vid type in: full contact wingtsun from fighterman...do you think if we add in some yo ho rap music it'll improve my vids?(just kiddin)good training guys

  • Are you serious, fighterman???? You are wearing gloves and shin guards in your vids. And most importantly, you aren't even hitting full speed. These TWC guys are putting people in the hospital in this competition. Their opponents are lucky they get to wear some gear.

  • might as well call it a street fight! no technique at all.

  • I see plenty of pak sao, bong sao, fook sao, lap sao, jut sao and more WC basics being utilized freely. So where is this no technique you speak of?

  • I see guiding of energy as well. even though both fighters are amateur, it is a good start.

  • Definitely. I agree 100%. I quite enjoyed seeing people finally use WC principles in a fight for once.

  • Full Contact with armor= Full Contact for pussies

  • Wow, live demonstrations of so-called Wing Chun look just as chaotic, and use the same standing techniques as MMA.

    Big surprise.

  • Take a look at a few things U R apparently missing:

WC uses Bon Sao/Wu Sao or Kan Sao; this is not in other MMA. U'll see this in video. Also seen is 'entry technique' not used in other MMA. The arms in the center-line cause the striker to have to arch to reach u, mak'g it easier to see what u do when u strike him is in WC, not other MMA. Punches can look like other MMA. Watch video again & see if u c these things!

  • Look for ...

Bong Sao / Wu Sao: Lead arm and hand up / Read arm hand facing down w/elbow raised up: Great protection & can trap most anything entering in to you.

    Entry Technique

WC stance with arms in centerline so striker has to arch his strike to hit you

WC stance allows fighter to detect incoming strike easier since opponent has to arch his strike to you

Since the fight is dynamic, may not see perfect parallel stance while initiating fight.

  • Lol same Techniques as MMA? Haha You do realize Kung Fu came out way before you were a twinkle in your mothers eye...lol. So don't try to say Kung Fu is ripping of MMA dick smack!

  • Sometimes you have to be in the fight to see and feel the difference.

  • I want to see these guys fight other Martial Artists in same controlled fashion. Seems like you guys have what it takes to bring WC to the forefront in the ring; moreso, then any of the A.Orr videos, or any other WC promoters have been able to demonstrate on video; etc.. Great Job!

  • This is the ONLY Wing Chun I've seen in any existing 'fight' video entitled, "Wing Chun" and I've seen a lot of them. EVERY other WC video I've seen, I can't see WC; it all ends up as a barrage of uncontrolled strikes indistinguishable from any other martial art; often w/their faces exposed & going to the ground way to fast. (continued)

  • Love the editing job. When is this competition held?

also, it is sort of anti climatic that members of the same school didn't fight, who is better? Additionally, the reason given was he was afraid of going to the hospital after the match.

  • The competition is held every year outside of Baltimore, around July. It would have been pretty interesting to watch the two fight in the end, but bonds were formed while they were training together for the fight, and at that point, a belt for the school was more important than a belt for the individual, in their opinion. If they didn't wind up in the same weight class, perhaps they would have taken home 2.

  • Okay. Plus, you always got to leave the viewers hoping for the sequel!

    Nice work!

  • Thanks! :)

  • My man Joe. Love it killer! Good job Tim. TWC that's all I got to say!!!

  • Awesome intro
