The only reason why over religious groups are against abortion is because it disrupts the flow of thier unproven philosophies. They want to have more kids, to raise them to be obedient followers to keep thier beliefs alive and well. They don't really care about the fetus. How many teenagers get abortions because their parents decided they should have one. Or the teenager goes into have one because of fear of how others would react. A woman can conceive at most one week out of the month. If she is not fertile, then she's not going to get pregnant. The woman who is not even pregnant has no reason to schedule an abortion.

I agree that a 2 weeks fetus isn't a child. I am against abortion but that's just because if i had a child, it would be because i wanted me to, and even if it "occured" by an "accident", i would still want to keep it because i'm responsible not because "killing" a two years old fetus is a murder.

Sky rocking rates of abortion have to do with irresponsible sexual practices and often people not using contraceptives. Of course they are not 100% effective, but most of the time they work.
Since "the pill" for example, became widely available, the rate of unplanned teen pregnancies have significantly increased. This is not because modern forms of birth control are unreliabile (when correctly used). It's a result of a rampant change in attitude toward sex. Attitudes toward sex are now much less about a sacred gift. Instead, sex has become a recreational activity supposedly without consequences.

If teenagers are taught about being responsible in regards to sex, instead of being taught abstinence, then perhaps the abortion rates of teen pregnancies will go down. Yulie - I have 18 year old twins, boy and girl. They are virgins. And they have scores of friends who are the same. We don't forbid them to have sex. And birth control is about as foreign to them as a human fetus is to you. We simply raised them in truth. You on the other hand are poised to raise your children in a lie if you fall for this joke about kids not being able to save themselves from having mindless sex.
Many of the morals that kids acquire have to do with what their parents teach them. You can't prevent kids from having sex, if they are hormonal enough, they will do it anyways. However, if they do it, they better be safe about it.
Your level of condescension is astounding. Are you always this defensive with people who diagree with you? Seems like a pattern with religious rabble, along with your lack of reading comprehension.
Yulie - go ahead and raise your kids however you want. But when their life is scarred because you pushed them one step closer into having irresponsible sex, do not look any farther past a mirror.
There is a better chance for your kids to have an abortion because they have never heard of the word "condom" of what goes where. The incomming government would have been faced with a collapsing financial system that would have required an injection of government money to stabilize the economy. - It would have been interesting to see how the republicans would have spun it. Yes and i did similar research and those same 55% that appear to be pro-life there interpretation of pro-life is different, therefore there is a large percentage of pro-life (morally) that believe it should be legal. I think legalizing abortion is for the safety of americans, but i do believe abortion is wrong. See my point? Also not all americans were represented in this poll, for instance i didnt get the letter in the mail about whether i'm pro choice of pro life.

However, i think it should not be available at will to anyone. In Canada where im from, there are no restrictions on it, and its provided by medicare. That means our taxes go to abortions. Pro is a prefix that means *in favor of.* Being *in favor of* a womans right to choose abortion is not the same as being *in favor of* women being forced to have abortions.

This is the 21st century, not the 1950s. Having babies out of wed lock is not as bad as it used to be. It is almost expected that you have sex before marriage today. NOTE: I am a pro life proponent all the way, but teen sexuality is really just part of the norm. Most people my age don't give a second thought what the church has to say anyway.

I see what you are saying here. However, this is not universal. There are cases where a sexually active teenager gets pregnant. How many teenagers get abortions because their parents decided they should have one. Or the teenager goes into have one because of fear of how others would react. Are these teenagers acting in a "pro-choice" mode?
Also there is an argument that if "pro-choice-ers" really are pro-CHOICE, then abstinence would be more prominently mentioned as an option.

This makes me wonder why pro-choice people don't talk about Natural Family Planning more often. It's a specific method involving timing sexual activity based on the woman's period..
A woman can conceive at most one week out of the month. If she is not fertile, then she's not going to get pregnant. The woman who is not even pregnant has no reason to schedule an abortion.

I agree that a 2 weeks fetus isn't a child. I am against abortion but that's just because if i had a child, it would be because i wanted me to, and even if it "occured" by an "accident", i would still want to keep it because i'm responsible not because "killing" a two years old fetus is a murder.
If it's older than that and it has fully formed then yes, i think it's wrong.

Sky rocking rates of abortion have to do with irresponsible sexual practices and often people not using contraceptives. Of course they are not 100% effective, but most of the time they work.

Since "the pill" for example, became widely available, the rate of unplanned teen pregnancies have significantly increased. This is not because modern forms of birth control are unreliabile (when correctly used). It's a result of a rampant change in attitude toward sex. Attitudes toward sex are now much less about a sacred gift. Instead, sex has become a recreational activity supposedly without consequences.

Many of the morals that kids acquire have to do with what their parents teach them. You can't prevent kids from having sex, if they are hormonal enough, they will do it anyways. However, if they do it, they better be safe about it.
