From the looks of it, Quarantine and this are much the same, but I have only seen Quarantine and do not speak Spanish, so unless they have a subtitled version of the entire movie somewhere I can watch it, I will probably never be able to speak for Rec. Althrough I think that Rec may be a better movie simply because its main camera looks more like a realistic handheld camera would. That is to say that Quarantines camera looked too much like someone post edited it and pre fixed the lighting ect.
