Private industry is more efficient than government because they have to be. If a family or a business runs out of money, they can't just steal more like the government does. Taxes shouldn't be paid at all other than a nominal ammount to contribute to security. Entitlement programs of all kinds waste money and only serve to trap people into poverty. Where there is no motivation there is no productivity. The money should be left in the hands of those who earn it. They will then chose who is deserving of charity and who is simply lazy. It is not for the government to decide.

The Nadar/Gonzalez ticket is another choice but the voter will need to write in their names on their ballot in unheard of numbers. Private industry is more efficient than government because they have to be. If a family or a business runs out of money, they can't just steal more like the government does. Instead they have to spend less. That is the great failure of large government, uncontrollable spending with no incentive to minimize it.

I "feel happy with helping other people" on my own terms. AFTER I pay the ridiculous taxes and the expenses of my own family, I personally do choose to donate to charities. It's great because I can decide when, how much, to whome and how to help those in need. Way better than any government forcing me to do so and with much less (usually none) administraive costs.

I'm not sure how having an opinion is misinformed. I wasn't stating any facts there, it's more of a philosophy. What's mine is mine. It's for me to choose to help certain charitable organizations, not for the government to steal from me (taxes) and redistribute to illegals or anyone else in the form of welfare, free health care or any other "entitlement."

If anybody walks into a hospital in need of care, they get it. If I do so without insurance, they attatch a lein to everything I own and my wages. Our taxes are only 3% higher then yours, 3% well spent if it saves just one poor persons life, and on top of that our wages are higher at least here we have the right to healthcare no matter what financial bracket we may fall into. cant say the same for america, if your poor and without insurance there your as good as dead, now considering you name yourselves the most powerful country in the world dont you think healthcare is the least thing your oh so powerful government can provide?

Exactly the point. The government is more powerful than it should be. When you add all the forms of taxes and fees it's over 50% that actually gets paid in taxes.
Free health care, cash assistance, food stamps and any other blanket entitlement only serves to hinder productivity. Why work when somebody else will provide for you? You sound like an underachiever.

You achieve less in your lives (assuming that you are productive) because you are taxed to provide services for others (who are not productive). If everyone was productive, they could provide said services for themselves.
I don't claim to understand your government, and you obviously don't understand the foundations of mine. The government should be "getting paid" to provide you with little more than physical security, and often can't even be reasonably expected even to do that.

I don't know about "stacking up bodies" at the border, but brandishing AR-15's would be a start. As far as being cheaper than supplying them with education, housing, welfare and medical care... you can't argue that bullets ARE cheaper. If given a reason, I have no problem with it. Go Joe Horn! The ones that don't give a reason, put 'em on a bus and take 'em back... to the SOUTHERN border of Mexico. That'll make it a bit more difficult.

Since you're obviously not an American, you should mind your own business.
Taxes shouldn't be paid at all other than a nominal ammount to contribute to security. Entitlement programs of all kinds waste money and only serve to trap people into poverty. Where there is no motivation there is no productivity. The money should be left in the hands of those who earn it. They will then chose who is deserving of charity and who is simply lazy. It is not for the government to decide.

See the thing is, i live in a free country, and everything ur messed up country does affects mine, so it is my business. And taxes should be paid and put where they are needed NOT wars, but for things like cheaper healthcare etc. over here no one gets left out because they have no insurance and cant afford it, our taxes pay for it, our government takes care of us. it is for the government to decide, paying tax is only fair.

I have plenty of pride, especially in my country, they provide us with discounted healthcare to show their appreciation and love for australians. and your system you really cant get away with not working as state benefits arent much, whereas here they are, single non working mothers get around $400 a week to help raise their children, i think thats fair and i cant see why you are so against paying taxes, its really ridiculous

My point is that people should be responsible for themselves. How anybody could argue with that, I don't know. Most people who are on the public dole are there due to thier own actions. If you make $8 an hour, you shouldn't have 3 kids. It's irrisponsible and we all know what causes it. I've planned my life a little better than that, so I don't like being punished for my success by having to provide for those who planned thier lives poorly.

First of all, you can't eliminate access to guns with any law. Drugs are illegal and they are a bigger problem than guns.
Also, if you intend to kill somebody, it can be done with a baseball bat, knife, car, shovel, fertilizer, drugs and the list goes on. Do you suggest that the government illegalize those as well? That's the real common sense.

Well sorry but the evidence says otherwise, Australia had many guns until new laws were brought in and since then we have had barely any shootings and the crime rate has gone down, so in theory you may think that if someone doesnt have access to a gun they will just use something else, but in reality its wrong at least in this country, but then again who knows what americans are capable of these days, there sure isnt a lot of respect over there.
