I suggest (if you have not already done so) Take a course in html and website management. You will need these basics to feel comfortable working with online CMS. These are database programs that work on several platforms. I use a linux server with MySQL and PHP5 running. There are free hosting MySQL PHP services online but you can run a test site on your own computer (mac or windows) and play around with the programs too. Search Drupal or Joomla on the net and READ & READ. Joomla ROCKS!

NICE VID. I am very interested in creating my own social networking site, much like myspace and facebook. I have a twist that I think would be very successful. But... where do I start to get this off the ground. What are the steps I need to take.

I am a college student taking web design soon. I am trying to find any information to get a better a better idea on how I can get this going.
