  • I have seen a comment made earlier about paper cones are not junk.. i pulled the speakers out of my car the one day cause i kept hearing a weird noise, it was the paper cone disintegrated. i change the speakers to a Sony Xplod speaker and the sound was better than the stock speakers in all of my friends cars. i might be able to find a video that has the old and new speakers but it might have some music playing in it and a bunch of other stuff lol.

  • well i have a o7 envoy denali and the bass in the stock speakers is incredible, some people think i spend some money on it but i didn't i have( bose speakers )

  • There is nothing wrong with Paper cone speakers, perhaps they sound more natural than plastic cone speakers, and you can REPLACE THE FOAM on them, I have dont this and it works well, plus, todays stiff is complete CRAP! made in china JUNK! I have some delco speakers that are made proudly, here in the USA.!

  • @SpeakerFreak95 a well made speaker is worth the cash, paper cones sound like crap once you hear a good component system. Im using polk mm's and they are AMAZING, an incredible amount of detail over stock! I'll give it to delco, for stock components they last well, and will handle alot more power than stock can put out.

  • I pulled out some factorys today of a 1992 mazda 323, lol the entire foam around the cone had disintegrated apart from about 2cm, which I touched and it fell off, and the cone felt like paper

  • One thing I really had to change was the factory stereo, that thing really distorts any speaker and it's cheap as hell.

  • Well of course a factory speaker will never be as good as an aftermarket speaker, unless it's a factory premium sound sistem. My experience tells me that some factory speakers are even better that the aftermarket ones. I tried changing the original Panasonic speakers of a 2001 Nissan Xterra to Pioneer's Ts-g1613r. Soon I changed back to factory speakers adding a pair of DLS T20 tweeters. There's a huge diference, really and sound pretty awesome!!!!
