  • Hey Mr singer

Is that a pair of socks in your pocket or are you just glad to be me?

  • I don't see the point as everything in this pales so much in comparison to the real McCoy that it is virtually transparent. Surely, a tribute band should be able to do a better job than a mediocre bar band doing the odd cover. This is what this is, a less than adequate bar band doing a shitty cover of a great song.

  • I think the best way to judge is to see them live for yourself.Film done on a phone doesnt give a good example of a band really.I went to see them and the vocals were fine to me.Have a look at my video i uploaded of them from the tavistock show.

  • I saw them last night in Malvern and they were excellent, a great 3+hour show, the barman was playing on his trombone with them

  • seen worse camera shots. too many people judge Led Zep cover groups on the studio work of the early 70s... hell, even Plant barely sounded like that half the time and nothing like it now. this is pretty good considering nobody can fully replicate Led Zep.

i want to hear those putting down the vocals do better. come on, if you are that much of an authority, let's hear your attempt!

  • no authority, just seen a load of the tributes and know that there are those out there capable of doing justice to the whole band inc vocals.....check out The Levee Breakers, Boot Led Zeppelin, Led By Zeppelin....the singers in those bands are actually on key the whole time.

  • i checked out boot led zep on your recomendation.

a 5 piece band wit h a left handed guitarist, hardly authentic.

  • Mr. jimmy can

    search jimmy sakurai.

  • Firstly 'PlantagenetKW' I have no axe to grind....I shot the said video...and love Zep...just don't think the vocals were very good....Secondly 'STC', my camera didn't somehow 'disguise' his voice...I don't need all those resources to see that!

  • Ok,Ok didn't mean to hurt your cameras feelings,lol.

    However...

Do you think Robert Plant is ptich perfect all of the time?? Listen to some live recordings,he sometimes hits notes that would make the deaf wince! When I go to see a Zep tribute i'm not expecting to hear Pavarroti vocal stylings.Zeppelin are all about "tight but loose",its about a feel and soul more than perfection.

  • true, ze pis abou feel and soul, but those qualities are sadly lacking here too.

  • OK.....shit may be a bit harsh.....but not very like Plant....as for the camerawork...well.....ok....but what can you do with a small digital camera!

  • Its all a matter of opinion although I think popeye and zeparama must have an axe to grind.

Personally if the camerawork was any good i.e. getting a decent angle and getting the light balance right etc it would almost be good enough to use for promo work.

Its not like there was an audience that night. The venue had apparently kept the whole thing a secret!

The sound quality is pretty good to be honest but as for "shit singing" I don't hear it on this video.

  • no axe to grind here

if you're gonna be in a tribute, you gotta be on top of your game all the time...the vocals are terrible..sorry!

  • Er...£50!!!! My camera cost £300 thank you STC...anyway....as I said, the band were great....the vocalist a bit shit.

  • Well you know even a £500 quid camera only has about £50 worth of ACTUAL technology in it..When you have the resources of Dreamworks,Warner Brothers or 20th Century Fox at your disposal, record them with that, then come back and discuss the vocals, lol.

  • you ARE in tune, its the same has mine, shot on a 50 kwid camera and i can only imagine that "seeing" it first hand would be completely different.people have got to understand that you (tributes) are not the real deal but giving real value for money in ya face for 5 or 6 quid. How much is it for tickets to their comeback show?? well if you can get slagged off for 6 quid then for a weeks wages planty better not drop a note, who wants perfection anyway? keep rock n rollin dude!

  • You can't judge the band or vocalist on an out context clip, recorded on a £50 piece of kit.

See them live, then decide,...they are quite awesome!

  • Seen these guys a few times in Wellingborough, Shit hot I tell ya. Sweet smell of incense on the go too.

  • I think the singer's voice is just fine, perhaps you two need to clean the wax out of your ears!!

  • I disagree.. the man's pipes sound mighty fine to me!

  • yeah, I agree.....the rest of the band are pretty good though.

  • atrocious singer.....quite surprised they are atill going..
