I wish more Black Americans would wake up and smell the coffee on this issue. If you look at the 13% of the population that are Black Americans (and it actually 12%) NOT all of that 13% are FEMALE so that percentage is even lower maybe 8% are female. Now of that 8% some are too old and some are two young to have children. So we are looking at maybe 5% of the population of the united states HAVING 40% of ALL ABORTIONS IN THE USA. I guess I'll throw in my two cents in the mix. The demonization of any group is immoral and wrong. This ad seems to try to bully blacks and in the same stride paint them in a negative light to try to change this trend. If you want to really change the statistics, ads like this aren't the answer. You should address social and economic conditions that lead a particular group to test statistically higher for things such as abortion.

Always appreciate the expression of opinion. However, this ad isn't about opinion. It's about irrefutable federal stats. No group is being demonized. It's the abortion industry that's being exposed. Healthcare disparities do not account for the alarmingly disproportionate rates of abortion (hispanics are uninsured at 38%, yet have 1/2 the abortions).  I am black. So this ad and the website TooManyAborted-com are about educating the public in order expose this issue in the black community.

The reason more African Americans are getting abortions is because of economic factors (poorer families unfortunately abort more because they don't feel they have a financial capacity to care for a child) In the US it is also unfortunate that much of the poorest communities are non-white. Then there's the birth rates.
