  • I think I just saw the word Gronk in there, lol!!

  • was this game ever made in America?

  • You guys do know that it's not that hard to play these old games on your computer right? Like for this one all you have to do is go to coolrom(dot)com, go to the emulators tab, arcade, and download kawaaks. Then under roms, go to cps-2 and you'll find ring of destruction. Grab yourself a wired 360 controller (or you can use kb+m), load the game, and you are good to go. You can play anything from atari to dreamcast even on a stone-age computer :)

  • omg did gunloc just did a flash kick and M.bisons knee press

  • I might as well say this. Mike Haggar is finally in a game outside Final Fight and the Slam Masters games! Yes, Haggar's gonna be in Marvel vs. Capcom 3!

  • all 3? I thought it was only SNSM & ROD : SM2

  • From what I've seen from a Japanese X-Men COTA promo video,I saw a clip from this game that someone did a 7-hit combo. If the rumors are true,I hope this game has super combos.

  • God damn it, why in the hell wasn't this released here? I have the original SNES port! Ah, 1995, what a year!

  • Sounds like "popcorn" instead of Capcom ^^

  • i used to love finish bashing apponents into the ground. shit bugged me out seein that as a kid back then doing that by luck lol

  • Dang, i didn't know Slammaster had a sequel, this one looks fun, though looks like they ditch the wrestling rules to a 2D fighter style, which i don't mind.

  • Why isn't a single one of these charcters in the new SF game? They could have easily just named El Fuerte Stingray and given some great fan service.

  • @Djclyve

Haggar would be a clone of Zangief though.

  • Holy SHIT, the CPU gets such a huge damage handicap.

  • es un gran juego de lucha libre por que capcom no saco la tercera parte

me ubiera gustado mucho ver a zangief contra ortega o a hugo contra biff

    esos si son encuentros

  • On the first round, they made you fight the girl first, immediately

  • Agreed. When I first saw this I was like.... Hey this is like street fighter. You're either going to love this or hate the change.

  • They could have done so much with the sequel. But instead they choose to take the few things that made it unique and turned it into a clone of street fighter....

  • I used to have the first one. it was really fun to play. more of a fighting game but still fun.

  • This is wrestling, not boxing. Grapple your opponent!

  • wait stop time-out flag on the play offsides clipping and Goddam Goaltending.

When did Slammasters 2 come out?! Why was i not informed?

  • 1997

  • Capcom made a wrestling game without Zangief !

  • Haggar is like the Zangief in this game. He has practically all of his special moves! :D

  • is that mike haggar aka the guy from Final Fight?

  • Yes.

  • Wow. I had no idea they made a slammasters II. thats awesome. wish i woulda known about it.

  • i remember this game! i loved it back in the day, combinding wrestling with street fighter pretty much i loved the japanese dude with the pink hair and the rey mysterio guy lol good times thanks for the post!

  • Capcom Should Bring this back as a fully 3D wrestling game-CO develop it with AKI would make it that much sweeter! Anyone w/me?

  • I'm with you...it would be awesome to resurrect this game to download for the Wii or something!

  • I concur

  • Capcom could just pay Yuke's Co., Ltd., the developers of the WWE Smackdown and Smackdown Vs. Raw series, to make a new Slam Masters game.

  • That's a good idea! Maybe the fans can write letters suggesting the idea!

  • Capcom doesn't give a damn about our feedback. It would be nice if they did, though.

  • @Kukojin nonononono... 3d would kill it.

  • The Haggar-Haggar match could have gone both ways. Or they both would simply win!

  • Very cool game, but how come they didn't make Mike Haggar's stage be based in Metro City? It's only fitting since he was the mayor of that joint

  • I guess they're going by hometowns or something.

Besides, Metro City's crime rate would skyrocket with so many tourists, and they'd have to make Haggar mayor all over again.

Plus, Hugo and Poison would probably just crash the match and fight the winner, Akuma-style. A decent idea for a mid-boss fight or something if they ever make another one.

  • So who was the black haired lady at the end of the Haggar Vs. Haggar match that jumped up and down outside of the ring, drunkenmaster226?

  • @drunkenmaster226

If you want to be technical, you can say Metro City IS New York. =P

Just when you thought Haggar couldn't be any more manlier, out comes Tetsuo Hara and draws him a new kind of badass. He's one of my favorite artists.

  • @drunkenmaster226 So I'm gonna be a dork about this and get super in depth. I heard somewhere that these games are supposed to be pre-Final Fight, and Haggar hasn't been made mayor yet. In the first Final Fight, they say he was a former Street Fighter, which I guess his inclusion in these games is a reference to. So continuity wise, it'd make sense that his stage wouldn't be Metro City, as he may not have had any affiliation with the place just yet. Still, woulda been cool.

  • Comment removed

  • Actually, Haggar isn't Mayor of Metro City yet at this time, read it on the Street Fighter Plot Canon Guide at Gamefaqs.

  • @CesMan83

Wasn't this whole Slammasters period happening before Mike Haggar decided to quit pro-wrestling and become mayor of Metro City?

    Or am I wrong?

  • You're correct.

  • @CesMan83 I think its because Haggar wasn't mayor until after the games. He was born in NY.

  • Damn, This game is good. It makes me sad though that Capcom didn't decide to port this one. Perhaps we can see a playthrough of the 3rd game?? Also I'll love to see another game about the CPWA Or CWA as the game so calls the Capcom Wrestling Association.

  • Yeah, the CWA rocks.

But I'm pretty sure that this is the 3rd game. This is the last one in the trilogy. You sure you're not thinking of an earlier one?

  • Really, i thought this is the second game?? Stupid me ^_^;; But what would have made this game more awesome is a surprise cameo from Kenshiro or Raoh, Although it wouldn't be fair since they know hokuto shinken

  • That would've been awesome. Maybe if they ever make another one, they could do something like that.

Then again, I'm not so keen on seeing Haggar and Co. fall apart like a jelly-filled pinata...

  • Yea, that would be kinda unsetteling but hey. It's just a thought, also Imagine the bragging right's if you manage to make Raoh or Kenshiro's feet stick up from the canvas. XD but anywhosen, good playthrough man.. I got to give mame another chance o.o;;

  • ...I just got a mental image of someone bodyslamming Mr. Heart and now I'll be laughing the rest of the morning.

  • Thanks a lot! Now I'm laughing my ass off

  • Why? Does mme screw up on your compter too?

  • I never truly learned how to work it correctley

  • @Tenroseiken Muscle bomber is the second one... in japan this is called muscle bomber duo but since Muscle bomber 1 never got released in the US they called Duo slam masters 2.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
