  • @MrDip02 the germans had the best engineered guns during the whole ww2. downfall of the nazis had nothing to do with the kar98, the kar98 was doing an amazing job. But there were much less kar98s on the eastern battlefield then there were mosins. the germans were badly outnumbered. Ur right, the russians did rush head on to enemy positions without guns, but that changed later as they prepared their counter attacks

  • @NWA90s if power was everything the germans might as well just steal the lahti l-39 design and issue every german with it i mean 20mm is a good enough round for isn't it ? last thing im going to say unless you say the same thing again like you normally always do the service length for the mosin nagant is longer so ith the 7.62x54r round is to the accuracy is the same 0.75 moa to 1.5 same durability polished clean bolt there is barely any spring tension

  • @NWA90s mosin nagant is 5 inchs longer which is not a huge deal but still in ww2 claw extractor was an advantage since you would not double feed but it's slightly less accurate system than the push feed the most iconic and greatest snipers used the mosin nagant the glass for the mosin nagant is more superior and i just like it because it looks cool to me harder to install yes but once it's there you're ready to go easy adjustments and the 7.62.54r is effective at 1300 yards which is good enough

  • @MrDip02 dont forget that the german also used the mp44 and mp 40. Which made the average german infantry soldier more superior to the soviet ones. Another big factor was the soviet t34, it wasnt really superior to the german tigers, but the around 2 million of these were in combat which really turned the tables

  • @NWA90s yeah i agree on that one the german assault rifles were FAR more superior to anything the russians made the only one i really know since i don't care for assault rifles is the PPSH-41 i know it was produced in 41 so it was not used that much maybe even never but that gun was TERRIBLE inaccurate high fire rate just a shit copy of the finnish suomi KP/-31 the STG-44 and MP44 were amazing assault rifle

  • @MrDip02 see, im comparing these guns as a military rifle. If you personally perfer the Mosin-Nagant as a backyard shooter, more power to ya!

  • why is the mosin nagant not on this list !!

  • Best Best Best Best Best Beast :) sooo Mighty Kar :)

  • Just about any country that wasn't a British colony used the Mauser.

  • Is it possible to change the windage of the rifle? Please reply. Thank you.

  • its a totally fabulous rifle.

  • What is the price range of a Mauser98k? I know more about the mosin and am planing to hunt with it soon but my brothe wants a Mauser98K.

  • @dasdew2 you can get a 98k for around $320 probably cheaper if you search around, You can also get a Yugo Mauser for around $250 which is what I have and they are typically better than a cheaper 98k. There are plenty of cheaper Mauser's made by other countries that are just as good.

  • @dasdew2 around 300 there not to expensive there not as easy to find the ammo and the rifle

  • Good WWI rifle but completely outdated by 1941.

  • @jackzero99 No shit.

  • @jackzero99 explain! i see zero proof, that was before assault rifles were made so all you had was either a heavy machine gun that weighed 30 pounds, required two men to operate, or a submachine gun that wasnt effective past 50yards. you cant be more wrong, you should go research more about weapons of that era.

  • @Grunt922 Ever heard of semi-auto rifles like the M1 Garand and Tokarev? Even the Lee Enfield had a 10 round mag. Maybe you should do some research.

  • @jackzero99 so because of a couple firearms then i guess it makes all others out dated? look at the ak47, theres weapons that are lightyears more advanced but its still the most reliable firearm ever made, and the mauser 98 is still one of the most accurate rifles in human history.

  • @Grunt922 Not a couple of rifles but all of their main opponents had a better rifle. The US had the M1. The Soviets had the Tokarev. The Brits had the Enfield. Considering the Germans were outnumbered in most battles, they needed something that could put more rounds down the battlefield. You don't need the most accurate rifle at 800 yds unless you're a sniper. Most firefights take place at much closer ranges. Not talking about reliability, so why bring up the AK? Only popular because it's cheap.

  • I love my Mauser K98!

  • @esh325

Cool, I like all of the WW2 rifles, including the infamous Arisaka and it's smaller brother the Type 44.

  • @NWA90s

Whatever dude, The Mauser was a good rifle and set the basis for most rifles in it's day but never compare a Mauser to an Enfield, they are totally different designs, The Enfield holds 10 rounds and has a faster and smoother bolt than that of the Mauser, the Mauser may have more range but 10 rounds vs 5 rounds, who is gonna last longer? Plus it was pretty much obsolete when the latter days of the war came around, it was too cumbersome for Urban Combat.

  • @rythmicpulses1 The Mauser action itself was probably more durable and reliable then the Enfield action. The British wanted to replace the Enfield with a Mauser type system in 7mm caliber, but war time pressures stopped that from happening. The Enfield is by no means a bad rifle though, it's an excellent rifle. Probably one of my favorites.

  • Springfield 30-06

  • kar 98 is is no.6? wtf is this shit

this gun annihilated the Springfield and enflield

  • @NWA90s Lawl the Enfield has a higher rate of fire and capacity than the Mauser. They say the Springfield was best for targets, the Mauser was best for hunting, and the Enfield was best for war.

  • @Gunfan762 is that why the springfield annihilated the british armed troops? the mauser is the most powerful and accurate

  • @NWA90s The .303 is plenty powerful. The Mauser's rate of fire is nowhere near that of the SMLE.

  • @Gunfan762 the 8x57mm is more powerful. Enfield power and range is nowhere near that of Mauser 98

  • @NWA90s Yes but when you consider that most engagments took place at ranges far below where there would be a difference.

  • @NWA90s

There are a lot of dead Germans who would disagree with you.

  • @balexwogel they wouldnt complain about the weapon

  • @NWA90s Yes but they are still nice rifles (the mauser or enfield).

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 the Mauser absolutely destroyed the soldiers carrying the enfield in africa. it is accuracy and power in one, tho the enfield is faster

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 stalingard had nothing to do with the infantry weapons, it was the cold and the huge numbers of the soviets that defeated the germans

    the mauser is better engineered

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 use your goddamn brain for fuck sake. the germans were fighting on 2 fronts as it was. the russians outnumbered the german by half a million more. if you do some research and use your damn brain you`ll see that the germans killed alot more russians then the russians killed the germans. the mauser did a great job, it was POWERFUL and ACCURATE. Calling me a call of duty kid? lamo shows the level of ur intelligence, which is at pairs with a 12 yo

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 the germans had much less experience then the russians and the british. the russians and british were experts in war for centuries, they were GREAT empires while germany was tiny compared to them. calling the mosin nagant equal to the mauser is sooo wrooooong. the mosin nagant was much much more unreliable

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 listen ashole, the mosin nagant isnt even on this list. its called PERFORMANCE u retarded fuck, and the mosin nagant performed shit. also the russians won because of their tanks not because of rifle. get that into your brain, and the cold also helped the russians

  • @NWA90s this list is fucking bullshit and if you actually knew about fire arms you would realize that these fat fucks are retarded tell me ALL you know (which is known) that makes the mosin nagant worse than kar98k even though the mosin nagant is ass durable and accurate

  • @MrDip02 the most important things in a battle for a weapons is its accuracy and reliability. the mosin lacked both, therfore it isnt even in the same league as the kar

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 history proves otherwise. dont bring in call of duty as an argument, its not going to strengthen ur point and is going to make you look like a bigger retard then you already are. funny that ur telling me that i dont know what im talking about when ur the one who said the kar98 and mosin are equal

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 oh my, my. reading your weak arguments almost makes me puke. Telling others they dont know about firearms when ur yapping BS about firearms yourself really doesnt make sense, so please be a bit more mature. arguing with you is like arguing with a kid, i really dont understand your mind. your accusing people of this and that while your doing it urself

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDip02 when you have battle going on at 2 sides, west and east and are outnumbered it causes desperation. and desperation causes mistakes. hitler wasnt smart when it came to military tactics

  • @NWA90s yeah whether or not he was strong he did not give out tactics but i don't know all i know haha is that he gave germans but this is all im saying

  • @NWA90s hitler was a VERY scared man

  • @MrDip02 he was scared during his last weeks, yes. but in the beginning he was arrogant and way to over confident

  • @NWA90s yeah well that's worse than being scared

  • @MrDip02 the kar98 performed much better then the enfield or the chealp mosin nagant. it was overall better, probably the best bolt action rifle for its time

  • @MyGunFreak im thirteen and i own one

  • @MegaExplosives where do you live if you have one at that age?

  • @hunt3erz53 new york. no licence required. i can own one, but i cant buy one.

  • i shot with this thing and im only 12

  • @MyGunfreak woooooooooooowwwwww im so impressed now!! want a cookie??

  • They keep saying that during WWI the Corporal was named Hitler, but i fact he changed is name after the war. Therefore their statement is false.

  • @LordWellington15 No he never you moron. His father changed his name not Hitler and it was in the 1800s

  • My Mosin is Finnish...

  • i have had a mosin nagant, and i currently own a zastava m48 (a yugoslavian production of the Original Mauser) and they are both absolutely lovely rifles. and the rules that apply to german and russian weapons today also applied to them back then.

the germans built and keep on building extraordinarily accurate rifles, while russian firearms usually are reliable as hell. so it depends on what you are looking for.

  • getting my dboys kar98k next week :)

  • 1st plan: shoot hitler with a high powered bolt action rifle with high accuracy.

2nd plan: shoot hitler with a high powered bazooka that would also destroy his nice car

3rd plan: let hitler lead his country, hoping it will destroy itself

hmm.... number 3 sounds the best NO wtf were you guys thinking GO IN ORDER DAMMIT.

  • cause you know germans make great stuff

  • Stupid tacticions couldve ended the war and saved peoples lives!

  • HAHA! irony

  • I like this rifle but it is inferior to the smle in almost every way. you have the smoothest operating bolt ever, double the mag capavity, pinpoint accurate, really the only advantage to the k98 is the more powerful round. dont let personal preferences over shadow combat effectivness.

  • @motlencore89 You might think that, but the British thought differently. The British were so impressed with the Mauser in the Boer wars that they wanted make their own Mauser inspired design called the Pattern 1914 Enfield. The Pattern 1914 had the smooth cocking on closing type of the Enfield, and it had the strength and reliability of the Mauser action. It didn't have the 10 rounds though. The 8mm mauser is overkill imo, so I dont consider it much of an advantage over the enfield's .303.

  • I heard in the 2003 Attack on Karbala some Iraqi farmer randomly shot at an AH-64D with a Kar 98k and shot it down.

  • @WarHorse21 Amazing isn't it. Light Machineguns, AK's, heavy machine guns and probably RPG's can't take down an AH-64 Apache but a K98 can.

  • 2:27 LMFAO XD

  • Discovery is a bunch of fags. The excellent 98 at sixth and the "smelly" at third? Retards.

  • Mauser kar98k IS THE BEST!... my favorite veapon!

  • What good is a bullet proof mercedes if it has no roof? lol Nazis...

  • is it just me who finds it odd thet hitler had a bullet proof marc that was a CONVERTABLE

  • its mouser not kar 98k dumbbut

  • @MultiZman25 kar 98k is the german name

  • @godzilla1463 hey u like godzilla me to man wat ur fav movie

  • @MultiZman25 ummm its a close call for me probably "Gojira", "Godzilla 2000", or "Godzilla Final Wars"

  • @godzilla1463 to me godzilla 2000

  • u can see cretans firing kars in wedings :D

  • But technically whats the difference between this and other bolt- action rifles at the same age ????

Men its just good for long range combat. In CQC I guess its very difficult...

  • @juongjaejong the difference is that this was the first one which had an bolt action

  • @DethMetal4All101 MG34 actually.

  • 2:28 I'd fucking get a RPG and blow the sucker to hell....

  • Dr. Aryeh Nusbacher the eternal jew. Somebody should have used a k98 on his grandparents.

  • Thumbs-up if you think Mosin Nagant is no. 11 in their list.

  • @TeamMastaPr2 Should be in the top 10 instead of the AUG

  • @Gunfan762 Agree!

  • @TeamMastaPr2 no its G3

  • @WaRLocK2204 Really?! O.O

  • @TeamMastaPr2 Y RLY! (:^0

  • @WaRLocK2204 G3 should be NR.2

  • @TeamMastaPr2 Should be in the top ten

  • there is a gun shop in my area that has what think is a late war k98 for sale for $179 is it worth to get, I was planing to buy a $100 arisaka type 99 from them, because then I would have have 2, but it was sold a few weeks after I first saw it, the only other thing they have is that late war K98

  • @Akirameerkat I just fired mine for the first time today, great gun, lots of power, a total tack driver. Super accurate even at 300yds

  • @icecoldeskimo11 what year is it ?

  • Its kind of funny they never found any other interesting story about the Mauser KAR98 other than the aborted attempt on Hitler's life. This is a fantastic weapon, and they could've tried a little harder in trying to find an interesting back story for it.

  • @MrDip02 and soviets

  • Bulletproof mercedes with mo roof? Awesome

  • 1:08 fail haha !!

  • 1:18 How he pronounces 'Adolf' !!

  • @666DUGE666

That is the correct way to pronounce it.

  • @Galaxiebaker

    if your not Russian carbine

    if you are Russian carbean

Listen to FPSrussia you'll get it

  • LOL i find its name funny becouse in my language kar means dick LOL DICK 98 LOL

  • The Mauser action was a work of art and exceedingly strong. The Kar 98k was an excellent general-issue bolt-action rifle and very accurate and reliable. And it fired a very accurate round in the 7.92 mm x 57 mm. I still own an FN-made 98k and I love shooting it. The Germans and Americans probably made the best military small arms of World War II.

  • and whwre is mosin nagant? it's not bad too

  • @stalker9500 Thats what im saying! The mosin can take a beating and STILL fire very accurately.

  • @MRcalibrecincuenta and if its good condition it's more accurate than the kar98k

  • @habel7892 it was! :) his cars bulletproof armor design is still used! Lol

  • lol bullet proof mercedes. yeah right

  • I'm German, my origins trace to possible Nazis. But rest assured, those still living today who fought for Germany in the war, aegis probably not what you imagine a Nazi is like. Modern Germany has come a long way from their old days aa Nazis, believing they're still Nazis is just hysterical and ignorant.

  • @Rommielism yeah, im dutch. when the netherlands where take over. we all hated the germans. but now, where good friends!

  • @Rommielism and you are all evil fucking people from Russia

  • the american are soooo stubborn that they believed that their m1 grand and the British lee enfield are better than the Mauser . The kar 98 is the best w w 2 rifle

  • @Marouder131 G43 takes the cake.

  • @nero91 fuck that german piece of crap gun from Russia

  • @Marouder131 It has nothing to do with being stubborn. The M1 Garand provided the soldier with a semi automatic rifle that could get shots on the target quicker then a bolt action, plus it 8 rounds over the 5 of the Kar98k. One of the reasons the German came out with semi automatic rifles was to compete with the M1 Garand. Even the semi auto rifles they came out with still proved to be inferior to the M1 Garand.

  • @Marouder131 Cause M1 Garand was better! Kar98k mauser is not near as good cause one its bolt action, m1 garand is not its semi auto, two m1 did not jam as much, three its just plain and simple!

  • that guy is gay for guns

  • I have this rifle myself, such a great thing to have.

  • @Cooleoh2211

    True

  • Uh, Ay-dolph Hitler? More like Ah-dolph Hitler. Jesus, you people are still living in the world where all Germans back then were Nazis and films like Saving Private Ryan and Apocalypse Now are very realistic.

  • My WWII German Wehrmacht reenactor of an uncle has two different models of the rifle (early war and late war-era) sitting in his closet just behind me. Lol

  • this is the best rifle.

  • i want to see a video: Springfield vs. KAR98

  • @crazyguitarman97

    Springfield vs Lee Enfield.

  • curly guy has orgasm over rifle

  • if hitler listened upgraded and looked for best in worst he could have won the war thank god he didn't he deserves to die and the only thing holding him down from going up is 100 feet of dirt

  • i seriously think they shoud laso have included the mosin nagant

the rifle is still used, while its origin is from decades before ww1 and today, its even more used then all the other bolt action rifles, and there worked several legendary russian snipers with it

and the round it shoots is still in servie troughout the russian army

and you cant get cheaper, while it still is verry accurate

  • yesterday they tried to mug me, i withdrew my grandpas 98 and i couldnt see the dust coming out of those motherfuckers

should have shot them in the back, fucking dipshits

  • i like stg44 most

  • @basilone200 but a k98 was more trustable

  • Mosin-Nagant is cooler

  • Whoever dis's Germany can go fuck emselves. There probably one of the most efficient country in the world. English speaking countries are all fucked and inefficient.

  • Fuck America arrogant pests and always will be, (since George Bush) :(

  • My fave rifle in COD, i choose it over Enfield, Garand, Mossin-nagant.

  • @dimitboris

shut up and go die you god damned faggot P.S iam german

  • Comment removed

  • @m19o3 and fuck your accursed people

  • @m19o3 from russia

  • bullet proof mercedes with out a roof?? WTF?

  • @firedudejklef MEH. pretty common

  • and then we come in 1940 with our Steyr manlichter -.-

  • @DethMetal4All101 Actually that was the MG-15

  • i got 2 give it to Hitler it took like over 40 assassination attemps to kill him

  • @blitzer360 And the only one that succeded was when himself tried to.

  • @blitzer360 And then he killed himself...

  • wonder why the mosin-nagant 91/30 7.62x54 isnt on this?

  • @dssin It was mentioned in the "almost but not quite" catagory.

  • @LoneWolf051 haha even thought the service length is longer than kar98k and as accurate and some even more accurate than the kar98k twice the durability the ammo is just perfect for the range and it just looks cool that's the thing that pisses me off the people in this video are retarded

  • @MrDip02 tell me about it! these dopes also said the Lee Enfield had a faster volume of fire than modern assault rifles!!! or that John Garand was a Canadian weapons engineer!!! and that the M-1's clip sound was audible on a freakin battlefield and everyone heard it!!!....morons.....inept, armchair morons, then people watch this and take this to heart and believe it.

  • @LoneWolf051 have i argued with you in the past?

  • @MrDip02 lol nope

  • @LoneWolf051 lol you sure that names looks REALLY familiar

  • @MrDip02 I dunno, theres a ton of Lonewolfs out there

  • @LoneWolf051 ha yeah there is
