    Actual 8-bit

  • 32 bit i think...

  • guys, he meant 8-bit sound quality, not an actual 8-bit song. each of the instruments is the same sound quality you'd get out of an 8-bit processor, but there's no way you'd fit all these parts together on an 8-bit. 8-bit quality: check. real 8-bit: nope.

  • Not even anywhere near 8 bit...

  • Gxxscc is not 8-bit

  • zelda is always gonna be my all time favourite game. although i was born in 93, it is one of the best games i've ever played because of the epic adventure, the amazing storyline, and the lessons i've learned from it. game creators have to learn from zelda - there's just something about it that no other game will ever have.

  • @singalinger hell yea! i TOTTALY agree! :)

  • 3:30. 8-bit Ballad of Twilight sounds like you'd be in pixel heaven...

  • Doesn't sound shit like nintendo 8 bit :S

  • that's not 8-bit sound, but awesome aniway

  • I put the original version on my 3DS and tapped 8 bit. It sounded horrible! Then I went to Youtube and searched for something like this. This sounds awesome! Wow, fans did Zelda music better than Nintendo?

    --

I don't like Firefox when it underlines every word that's not in its dictionary. Who cares if I misspell original?

  • NOT 8 BIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite song in TP. Awesome 8 bit version :D

  • That is amazing!!! I agree with the guy below Hahahaha!! Nice Job Man!!!!!

  • If Youtube had a "Epic" button, i would be mashing it right now

  • @Gennintaido I made an "EPIC!!!" Playlist XD

  • OH MY GOODNESS! LOVE!

  • 8bit is just what n00bs call old school video game sounding music

  • 8-bit or not, i like it! =D

  • HA. 8-bit

  • Why does the beginning sound like Hyrule Field: OoT? Is this a fake....? O.e

  • @xXDemonRyuXx No that's the morning theme I guess. It was in Twilight Princess too.

  • this is a midi.

  • I love how ragey Zelda fan-boys get.

  • @SpawnThemAll

thats one of our greatest feature.

  • @SpawnThemAll Fanboys/Girls from EVERY single fandom ever can get ragey. I don't see what makes us any more/less special because of that ;>_>

  • No-one feed the troll! Thats what it wants!

  • This game is such a fucking RuneScape clone.

  • @SpawnThemAll It isn't the slightest bit like Runescape idiot.

  • @Bluestar498 DO NOT EVER INSULT THE LORD AND CREATER OF GARRYMON!!!!

  • @SpawnThemAll UR SUCH A FUCKING BASTART U FUCKING PEICE OF SHIT UR A C*NT

  • @beanoboyz1234567 Someone is angry.

  • @beanoboyz1234567 DO NOT EVER INSULT THE LORD AND CREATER OF GARRYMON!!!!

  • @SpawnThemAll obvious troll is obvious

  • @bobboking Smart guy is smart.

  • @SpawnThemAll umm.. zelda came first dip shit

  • @SpawnThemAll Runescape can go die, for all I care. And so can you, 'cos Runescape never existed before legend of zelda, isn't any better than zelda and has nothing to do with zelda. WHY WOULD ANYONE THINK THIS WAS A CLONE OF SOME CRAP BROWSER GAME?!!

  • @SpawnThemAll Runescape CLONE.......you moron, this game came before Runescape

  • @SpawnThemAll SUCK MY DICK ASSHAT! LoZ was out in the '80s! When did RS come out? Uh... 2001? You fail, fucker.

  • @SpawnThemAll hahaahahhahaahhaahahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahhahahahhahhahahahahahahhaha you're a fag :P

  • More 16 bitish if you ask me, but still cool.

  • this is made of awsomeness!

  • Yeah taht song rock

  • How the fuck can you compare Zelda to Runescape its an MMORG Ffs

  • I play zelda & I play RuneScape, which is better? ZELDA BY A FRIGGIN ASTRONOMICAL UNIT!!!!

  • @Silavite

O.o wha-hh-wha-whaa--haa-WHAT!?!? did u just compared runescape to zelda -.-'? lol

  • It doesn't sound 8-bit.

  • Whoa. People can even argue about homosexuality on a Zelda TP remix?????!!!!

I'm guna put my head in.......

One of these days, I'm gonna come across a video on Youtube and NO ONE will have managed to argue about anything, but will simply enjoy the vid for what it is.

    Ah........ambition....

  • @Yammahoo

Until that day comes, keep your head down and your eyes open. some of these arguments get brutal.

  • @DemonOfTheSkies , I know.....I have been on here for years, and it's unbelievable what some people will say, armed with anomynity and keyboard!

  • @Yammahoo

I know, it's mind blowing and it is why I hardly post on videos any more.

  • @DemonOfTheSkies , true. I remember replying a news vid where someone had died. I sent my heartfelt condolences, and recieved this in reply:

"Don't put RIP. It sounds like something out of Corpse Bride."

    I replied: "I'm sorry I caused offence"

They replied: "I see from your profile you're only --, so you have no idea what it is like to lose someone close."

    (Not true)

  • Comment removed

  • ....and they started attempting to make a flaming row! 0.0

  • @Yammahoo

thats sad... here you are trying to tell to that person you were sorry for their loss, yet you end up getting your head bitten off.

Youtube should have a waiver or something to sign and a warning befor you enter, figured Google would have done that by now.

  • @DemonOfTheSkies , you mean like a "No Trolling" sign? :emotipuzzle:

  • @Yammahoo

Something like that I suppose. just any thing in general to silence the a-holes that stalk youtube and it's fine people.

  • @DemonOfTheSkies , I think Youtube does have a "Community Guideline Thingy-gummy" but it looks like some people just don't care....

  • fuck, thats epic

  • yeah this is more 16 bit if you ask me.

  • Okay, Runescape may be good, but Zelda TOTALLY beats it.

  • Some of the sounds in this music are too sophisticated for my tastes.

    I WANT MY GARBLED STATIC.

  • Huh, whadaya know, epic win has just occurred.

  • what about runescape?

  • YES!! Someone actually MADE this! I love you so much right now!

  • Things brings us to the good days of yore! (Game boy color days)

  • 3:36 is awesome and my most favorite part

  • Almost thought it was OoT for a second there :)

  • 1.12 EPIC win! =)

  • EPIC win! =)

  • this is great, you have to do the same with the great sea song of wind waker

  • you have a pretty original account name :D! science of ps3 ! lol

  • Unfortunately, this isn't a "true" 8-bit song. The reason is that the NES could only play four channels of music at one time: Square 1, Square 2, Triangle, and Noise. This song has more than four channels playing at one time, thus making it sound more like a 16-bit song than 8-bit song. This is most apparent at places like 2:46 and 3:27.

  • I like Runescape and I LOVE Zelda. Why are people comparing it though? Runescape is a multiplayer internet Java Game. Zelda's a Nintendo, awesomely epic game. I do admit that Rinescape has medieval like music that may at times sound Zelda - ish but they are nothing compared to the real Zelda Music!

  • McAwesome

  • this is oot

  • @21Narutoking LOLWUT

  • @stavrosmike It says Twilight Princess, but its Ocarina of time.

  • @21Narutoking hence why I said lolwut, because its clearly Twilight Princess. If you think it's OoT, then you clearly don't know your Zelda lol. I'd suggest playing the game and seeing for yourself.

  • @stavrosmike hence what i say listen to the beggining. the middle is TP.

  • @stavrosmike Just sounds like it at the first 5 or 6 seconds

  • @21Narutoking That's because they both have the sun's song play at the beginning, but so does MM, and WW. So you shouldn't instantly jump the gun and say it's OoT when four different games use it. =P

  • ocarina of time beginning XD

  • I think of this as 16 bit, im not sure why...

  • Why are people arguing and not jamming?

  • @BiasedGuy123 yea!

  • the beginning is not the sun's song.

  • i think this is realy good

  • Sounds nothing like 8-bit

  • @Parkerkun thats because their method of conversion is actually not very accurate

  • @Parkerkun CONGRATZ You dont go sense of music :D

  • Epic

  • better than the original :D ! TOP

  • its....ok, though I do have to admit its WAY better than the Brawl version

  • Although this does kinda give me the feeling I'm playing an NES version of Twilight Princess, it's not 8-bit... -_-

  • Not 8 bit. Sorry. Just sounds like a MIDI.

  • WRONG. 8-bit music is actually a "chiptune". A general MIDI "Musical Instrument Digital Interface" is not a chiptune. Nintendo NES/Gameboy did not use MIDI. Chiptunes are generated from white noise going through an ADSR envelope synthesizer.

  • @WalnutPeanut

MIDI is just as it says an interface. They did use something similar to "MIDI". It got nothing to do with how sound is generated. MIDI is capable of controlling synthesizers/sound generators. MIDI just sends and receives data between components.

And 8-bit =/= chiptune, 8-bit meant how much data could be processed by the audio chip.

  • @WalnutPeanut

    Also,

Have you ever worked with midi?

I have, and still am. It's possible to setup any realistic sound with midi files. You are kinda misinformed on the subject.

  • Comment removed

  • @WalnutPeanut

MIDI doesn't hold any audio data, only data to control "something". You are not informed at all. The bits you are referring to have NOTHING to do with the 8-bit DSP.

NES used the same concept. It was all based on the Atari system. The difference is; the audio chip GENERATES sound, instead of using wave samples. Wave samples have nothing to do with midi.

There was even a channel for wave files. Midi only controls, just like the interface for the audio chip.

  • @sidar87 Lol... Exactly, they have nothing to do with 8-bit. You said so yourself.

  • @WalnutPeanut

    Are you that stupid?

You just compared the bits per instructions of a DSP to data transfer rate.

I use plugins that are 8-bit emulated, which generate that sound the NES creates, controlled by MIDI. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Midi is also used to control other things than audio components.

Your comment on top is just plane wrong.

You said "sounds like MIDI". MIDI doesn't hold audio data. What you said doesn't make sense.

you're so ignorant on the subject

  • Comment removed

  • @WalnutPeanut

Chip-tune comes from the fact the DSP is synthesizing the sound waves.

I never said NES is able to process MIDI 1.0 you dimwit. I said it's similar in concept.

    you said:

    " 8-bit music is actually a chiptune"

The 8-bit stood for the amount of data the chip could process into wave data. People simplify by calling it 8-bit . Chip-tune could easily be 16 or 32 bit as well. But its the low 8-bit quality which makes it stand out.

The music made with YM2612(sega) is also chiptune.

  • Comment removed

  • @WalnutPeanut

Im not nitpicking, your comments clearly give the wrong information.

You are implying that MIDI got something to do with sound generators.

"Chiptunes are generated from white noise going through an ADSR envelope synthesizer."

Which is not relevant to what MIDI is. As MIDI could easily CONTROL that synthesizer. Meaning its just an standard interface to control components.

And after a few tries you still don't get what im saying, I'm done. have fun. You won't get it anyways.

" They did not use MIDI for 8bit chip-tunes on the NES and on many other systems. "

"But that's not what they used"

I NEVER SAID THAT. You dimwitted retard. Learn to read. I said they are similar in concept.

You are clearly missing my initial point.

XD forget it, it's like talking to a freaking wall. Have a good day.

  • @sidar87 Then what did you start arguing with me about? What was your point? Just to say that they were similar? Yeah, I know this. Lol. You were nit-picking. I don't get why you said anything in the first place.

  • Thanks for that epic win ^-^

  • I don't think it's in the older 2D games

  • My favorite zelda theme + 8 Bit mix

    = Epic win =D

  • I love how the music changes based on what you're doing in this game. If you're fighting an enemy, it changes like at 4:13 and if you just stand still the music is like at 4:45 and when you start moving again it the music continues on.

  • @jessmanboo If you're saying that while looking at FamiTracker, I believe it's used to play presampled stuff. If you're talking about the actual sound chip, I've learned something new :D

  • Twilight Princess: 00:17

    Ocarina of Time: 00:00

  • the sun's song is at the beginning of both

  • Both of you, shut up already. Pathetic homphobics.

  • Comments removed.

  • This is the coolest thing i ever heard. great jobe dude. it sounds lik the original but all synthesis and 8-bit. Amazing

  • It;'s 16 bit, not 8 bit

  • nes music kicks ass

  • EPIC sound

  • This just goes to show that the original 8-bit music could have been much better.

  • How does it show that exactly? they didn't have access to computers from 20 years in the future...

  • They still had the same instruments as there are here. It's just arrangement that's different.

  • What do you mean 'instruments' ?

The originals were composed on simple keyboards (if you were lucky!) and using soundchips.

This has been run through a filter on a computer program that wouldn't even FIT on the computers back then.

  • How can you get a filter that would produce such an accurate composition?

And even digital/synthesized instruments are still called instruments.

  • I think you're missing my point here.

You're comparing apples to pineapples. It was extremely hard to program sound into games back then, and they did an amazing job. -this- file here was done using the benefit of dozens of complex computer programs that they did not have at the time to make their life easier, and is translating a complex ORCHESTRAL piece composed BY THOSE SAME PEOPLE I might add... into similar sounding instruments.

  • Ohhh yes

  • AWESOME!

  • Don't you EVER compare Legend of Zelda to something like RuneScape! Even if it's the music!

  • My bad... lol.

  • @MetaKnight640000 i play runescape 12hours zelda 24/7

  • @RemyCatMan2 ahahahaha runescape? what a pice of crap game, go do something else

  • @MetaKnight640000 TOTALLY AGREE

  • fuck ruinscape!!!!!!

  • No duh, guy.

  • Did u really just compare Runescape to Zelda?

    Just go die now

  • @crazyiproshow Runescape is a POS compared to the genious that is Legend of Zelda just listen to the Orchastra its freaking amazing! Its like an eargasm! Thats right Eargasm its the new term for awesome songs spread it around :D

  • @crazyiproshow xD lol

  • Comparing Zelda to Runescape is like comparing WIN to /b/.

You just had to bring your assfuckery in here, didn't you?

  • @GeekingForJesus Despite the awesomeness of Runescape, never, i repeat NEVER!!!!!! compare that to Zelda

  • @R0ccojas0n Sure thing. But I must disagree on the awesomeness of Runescape. Runescape SUCKS!!! (Mainly because I had a guy with 99 wc, forgot the password and recovery questions, and Jagex refuses to change my password. Just terrible. So, I quit. Waiting on Star Wars: The Old Republic, now!)

  • @GeekingForJesus well...runescape DOESNT suck, it's just u dont like it (wcing is one of the easiest skills to hit 99 anyways, and next time write ur pass + recoveries down on paper)

  • @R0ccojas0n I did, but it had been about a year since I played RS. And I'm wondering, then, why Jagex was unofficially renamed Fagex, and why there's an infinite amount of "Runescape sucks" articles on the Internet.

  • @GeekingForJesus all those *runescape sucks* articles were made from world of warcraft/club penguin players, no doubt they would make them

and for the record...there's been a LOT of changes in the past year, and infact there's a vote right now to bring back free trade + old wildy, and that is winning a YES majority atm

  • @GeekingForJesus wait...you say runescape sucks because YOU forgot your password, and they wont change your password without the recovery question info YOU forgot?

...wow, you seem to think its their fault they dont give out password changes to people who forgot the crucial info required, which also keeps random people from getting password resets for your account

    anyway...this is awesome, just awesome

  • @GeekingForJesus

    Runescape has midi music.

    Zelda has epic music.

  • Sounds like mario paint composer O_o

  • Not 8-Bit, it emulates the sound.

  • WANT THE MP3!!! PLEASEEE!!!

  • Just get the youtube to mp3 converter :P

  • I just realized how similar LOZ TP and Okami are alike!!!!! OMG!

  • @PhyreSpore That's because the maker of Okami based it on Zelda.

  • 5 ✰✰✰✰✰ very cool !!!!!

  • This sounds more 16 bit than 8 bit lol

  • OMG two sets of ascending triplet notes; AN ENEMY APPROACHES.

  • how do i 8-bit a song?

  • this is ok execpt for your account name! :'(

  • yep,you're right!^^

  • you are and he should make a mp3 of this cuz if i was walking in some feilds about to venture for somthing i could listen to this and give me confidence and at 1:34 i would start facing the thing that i ventured for lol

  • hahaha lol

  • i know right ? haha

  • since OOT, all the 3d games' main themes start with the sun's song (when dawning).

Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess included.
