I watched her sail by us at the Royal Quays and she was massive!! It was a fantastic experience with all the fireworks and little boats. And especially all the ppl watching. When her horn blared, it was awesome. Looking forward to her coming back in October.
i must have been right behind richard like, the view was immense, i'd have gone further out to the mouth but i was with my mam and pregnant sis, so we had to settle at the fishing quays. it was a great day out and im off to see her again next time, it made it even sweeter in the fact that she's one of our finest ever machines, and that i never got the chance to see concorde off in style at newcastle
I work on board her and was on the front deck at the time, of all the British ports that we have been to this had to be the best, not only that it was an over night which made a quite a few crew hace hangovers, lol. I think that the next call will be even better, I look forward to this.
I was in the 15th/19th Kings royal hussars Regimental band, and between 1984-86 we had the contract to play her off from Southampton we got to play on board prior to the sailing but then got took off :O( so we could play on the queyside as she sailed. I never got to take any photos of our times on board so wanted to show my wife what she was like. To see her in your view reminds me of just how great this ship is.
I waited from 1pm until 6:15pm at the custom house to see her, finaly left for home some 28 miles away. As I got home I looked on the webcam on her bridge, to she the ships bow just passing the harbour. I drove back to S/Shields and just managed to see her as she came along opposite the custom house what a great sight wonderful, brought back many memories
i live at the river mouth in south shields, and i thought the music was terrible all them out of tune horns got right on my nerves. for 3 days they where playing. but thats just my opinion. still beautiful ship good video.
great vid. we were on the top deck coming into the Tyne eventually (we were frozen standing so long as im sure you were with waiting)and it was amazing what a welcome from everybody. no bad welcome for us scots on board thanks. It was worth the wait.

Yeah it's north and south sheilds and I was there it did not come in as of tides and I wated for 2-5 hours and prepared for it for months so annoyed

Really nice video. I used to live in Tynemouth, thity years ago but now live in Munich. Love the music and the scene of her leaving.
