  • I'm tired of searching for "Beck" and getting this guy

  • dumb ass!!!1

  • Glenn Beck is terrifying the old people.

  • @innHD beck also where's dumb-shit deodorant.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • BECK is a digusting sell-out!

  • Beck wears idiot cologne

  • @hommedespoir He only says what the elite let him say.

  • Cenk is asking what's going on, but it's no big mystery : Beck identifies himself with the white horse of the mormon "White Horse Prophecy".

  • We are in serious trouble financially. We cannot keep going like we have been without the "credit card we live on bankrupting us" The problem here is that BOTH parties have been irresponsible with our debt. The message gets destroyed because it gets politicized, people take sides and the debt just gets bigger. While everyone is busy pointing fingers, the problems continue to grow. It will not get better unless both parties stop spending cash we do not posses.

  • When you are roaming the streets starving to death you will remember how stupid you are...LOL

  • @Dustyluvluv *face palm*

  • @PatricksLaw Bring it...45 head

  • @Dustyluvluv not sure if troll or red neck

  • did anyone with a brain leave any decent comments here... oh yeah the united states is going great, everything is peachy, plenty of jobs and unemployment is at an all time low.... so everything must be fine cuz beck says its going to get worse. Nothing bad can happen, we can just keep making china rich and expect everything to just stay exactly as its been... Remember ROME... they were invincible too. just keep your head in the dirt and everything will be fine.

  • I picture Beck with a red rubber nose in diapers bare chested with a tootsie roll in his mouth. The academic act of his could only be swallowed by the dimmest of

bulbs in America. It really is historic how many Mutants he's created with his daily post hypnotic suggestions -- positively epidemic this meme thats gone viral.

  • This is prime evidence that Beck is a burned out coke head walking piece of shit. I hate to say that about any human being, but if the shoe fits... I am all for deporting this faggot loser to Somalia to be their president. I sstry ak round just above the bridge of his nose would do wonders for him.The only thing about this jackass that is unbelievable is there are people that walk behind him with their heads stuck up his ass.hehehehe. I would run this idiot down if I saw him near my house.

  • Glenn Beck is a millionaire. He is a millionaire not because he is intelligent. He is a million not because he worked hard. He is a millionaire because he lies to people and gets them to watch his show and buy his book. Everything he continues to say to people is solely to protect people LIKE HIM so he can CONTINUE being a millionaire. He dupes common people into supporting him so he makes money. The people who believe him are so fucking stupid.

  • @metalfaust19 You don't know G. Beck to know he worked his way up from poverty and that left you in the dust unless you want to do what G. Beck did. Sometime listen to G. Beck explain his Biography, go to the Beck site and listen if you can't bare to tell the truth yourself. These Punk Computing Gadgets DO NOT MAKE YOU ANY MORE WEALTHY THAN THE NEXT GUYT THAT WATCHES OR LISTENS TO G. BECK. THESE TURKS WANT IT EASIER SO THEY LOVE OBAMA'S PLAN OF ATTACKING TAXPAYER'S WITH HIGH HEALTH CARE FEES.

  • @metalfaust19 Don't be naive. If you want truth, you can't look to a book or TV. All you will hear is what the author wants you to hear.

People that believe him may be stupid, but I think it can be argued that anyone that gets worked up over partisan politics is stupid. Both sides are the same.

  • @metalfaust19 he is kind of dramatic and all but i dont see him as stupid. i listen to him from time to time but i dont always agree with him.

you are the one that is less than smart. he is not putting a gun to anyones head to make his millions. why dont you get a job and maybe you will become a millionaire ...or are you just going to set and hate people for having more money than you? did glenn beck steal money out of your pocket?

  • @usaf317 the fact he is so dramatic is what makes him so stupid. He really scares people and his antics are breaking down our ability to have rational discourse. Research Mormon beliefs and history. I don't want to tell anyone what to think of it..see for yourself, its a strange and disturbing religion. It will shock you how strange and definitive it is, especially in what we thought was the modern age.

  • @RobVanMeter yes he is dramatic but i dont think that makes him stupid. if he scares people then that is there fault.

i know some mormans but they dont scare me. i do find the morman church very strange and cult like...well not just cult like....its a cult . ....thats my opinion anyway

  • @usaf317 How is it their fault ? For believing what he is say? Their are A LOT of people who don't know not to believe him. Where do you live? I used to live in big cities , where no one would believe that crazy talk, but here in North Louisiana, its way different. Its extremely religious here, and the education system is deplorable. Most people here take Genisis in the bible literally, and you can't tell them any different. Beck is stupid, Its STUPID to think your the only one who is ever right

  • @RobVanMeter Adults are responsible for themselves. I have listened to this man and he seems to go out of his way to tell his listeners to verify every ting he talks about on his show.I have lived all over the america, Europe and the middle east. I spent part of my childhood in a small north Alabama town. I take issue with your accusations that Christians and people from rural areas are stupid. I have a few choice words for you but that would not very Christian of me so I will stop here.

  • @metalfaust19 All you have to do is study the data, study the health of the dollar, study the fiat money system and how it is bound to collapse. There is no escape. It's happened before in history. Every time an empire begins to debase their currency, the people sense the inflation and then there is rush out of the currency and into hard assets, which ends up destroying the empire. If America goes down, the world will be plunged into depression. Its mathematics.

  • Why are bad guys always Aryans?

Fuck this I'm moving back to Spain.

  • the people agreeing with beck are playing an awful prank on him.

  • @GRIZZY1303 And it's a very painful one too.

  • i actually think glenn beck warning of economic holocaust is great...

it prob means there isn't one coming...

    phew thank you glenn beck

and wtf is the economic holocaust, where they kill all the jew economy

  • why the fuck is this on mhy favorites page. fucking nazi stop please no more.

  • You ever notice hiw people like Beck always have a private conversation in the hallway with an high profile authority figure.

  • SARAH PALIN DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • Crisis was because of too much government. The fed's low interest rates, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac--all products of government. Cenk doesnt seem to realize how we havent had a free market since 1913. A couple decades after the period of the US's greatest economic growth. Iceland and Hong Kong both have free markets--both with uber high living standards and economic power.

  • @oJKBo Iceland's economy was almost completely destroyed by the economic crisis. European governments had to bailout/forgive its debt.

  • @oJKBo You're kidding about Iceland right? Its economy has gone down the toilet, even McDonald's has closed down

  • @sonofcy Iceland's economy grew incredibly fast. Inflation increased and once the US banks collapsed Iceland's ginormous banks did too. But they still have less unemployment and will recover. Their standard of living is also higher.

  • @oJKBo Plenty of countries considered to have better living standards, that you would consider to have less of a free market.

Canada, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Australia, Japan, just to name a few.

Countries that have much stiffer regulations.

  • TheYoungTurks are a little to liberal and socialist for my taste. I just dont think they see the balance..

  • Why is this so Unbelievable. What do you think will happen when you print trillions of dollars with NO accountability. And the fact that there is still 3 Trillion bucks out there without knowledge of where it went. Dude you think this is too out there, then you explain where all this is going. And its not regulation total abscence he is talking. Its fair and power to Capitalism !! NOT GOV't.

  • @jfitguru08 You realize that American regulations are minimal right? Almost all of the economy has little to no regulation. We are market capitalist nation with state capitalist features.

  • @cary123 You're joking right? If that were there never would have been a housing bubble, no banks would have collapsed (without the support of the fed and the fdic), unemployment would be incredibly low, we would have millions less illegal immigrants, people wouldnt need to hire accountants to go through hundreds of pages of tax code, and the economy would be much more stable

  • @oJKBo I am saying we need stronger regulations.

  • @cary123 yeah we need more regulations. These greedy capitalists profit at our loss. Sure more regulations mean less economic freedom and do more harm than good, so what?

  • @oJKBo Slaughtering 11 workers is not economic freedom.

  • @cary123 first who slaughtered 11 workers? In a capitalist free market that person would go to jail for murder.

  • @oJKBo BP.

Oh we had your "free" market, we had slaves, no min wages, lack of literacy... Ah, the free market.

  • @cary123 Before 1913 banks printed their own money and lent out as much as they had in gold. Slavery isn't a part of a free market capitalist system. In a true free market no one can force someone to work for them nor can the product of their work be redistributed. What has the minimum wage done? Increase unemployment especially among teenagers. And BP slaughtered its workers? BP purposely blew up a rig? I was under the impression the workers chose to work there. Lack of literacy? Lol

  • @oJKBo We need a LABOUR TIME standard. Thats why your free market america had slaves right? Its also prevented employeers from cheating out on workers. Manslaughter can be involentarly.

  • @cary123 First, "we" don't. A LabOr voucher decreases innovation and efficiency. After all, why finish something in five hours if you can do it for six and be rewarded more? Second manslaughter is involuntary, so you could say Stalin, Il, Mao, Castro, and Hitler were not murderers but manslaughterists.

  • @oJKBo To help society. My point exactly. Also hitler was a capitalist, dont claim that he was a socialist. Stalin didnt commit manslaughter, the kulaks burned there crops and committed manslaughter. Mao was lied to by the peasants, so they committed manslaughter. Castro did legal executions.

  • @cary123 Your first problem is you're a collectivist. Society is made up of individuals. Second, Friedrich Hayek wrote a whole section in 'The Road to Serfdom' outlining the 'Socialist Roots of Nazism'--you should really read it. "We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries...and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

  • @cary123 The Nazi economy was incredibly centralized and there was virtually no economic freedom. He hated Marxism AND capitalism because marx was a jew and he also thought jews controlled the capitalist economy. The kulaks sent people to the gulags? The kulaks burned crops?! Stalin executed millions of kulaks. Mao did nothing as millions died of starvation rather than letting them be even subsistence farmers

  • @oJKBo All reectic. The state operated in a capitalist fashion, state capitalism.

No they didnt send people to the gulags, but they did burn crops and cause people to die.

You can blame that on the peasents who lied to him.

  • @cary123 724,000 were executed. Among them: 436,000 people were sentenced to death by NKVD troikas. 247,000 people were sentenced to death by NKVD Dvoikas' & Local Special Troykas. 41,000 people were sentenced to death by Military Courts. 400,000 were sentenced to labor camps by Police Troikas as Socially Harmful Elements. 200,000 were exiled or deported by Administrative procedures. 2 million were sentenced by courts for common crimes, of them 800,000 were sentenced to Gulag camps.

  • @oJKBo I would like soviet documentation on the deaths.

  • @cary123 Haha “According to the declassified Soviet archives at least 724,000...”just go to wikipedia and follow the footnotes accordingly. By the way those soldiers fighting under the hammer and sickle raped hundreds of thousands of german women after the war. The Red Army was barbaric. They dont even know how to march right.

  • @oJKBo The Red Army was barbaric? US lost 3000 people and got Abu Grabi. USSR lost 20 million. Germans got off very easy.

  • @asadchev The Germans did not get off easy in fact in Demmin over 1,000 people killed themselves after hearing of the Red Army's acts of rape regardless of age, pillage, and torture

  • @oJKBo Ah, poor Deutchland. As if untermensch just invaded them for fun. Germany was annihilating entire peoples, they deserved ever gram of lead they got. If USSR went biblical on them, eye for eye, there would not be Germany today.

  • @asadchev No, the Germany army was annihilating entire peoples. The fight needs to stay off the battlefield. 9 year old german girls dont deserve to get raped because her country's army invaded other countries.

  • @oJKBo I'm German, and I do believe that there were indeed very few innocents. Small children and couple of free thinking excentrics, but not many. Most got what they deserved. Remember that Hilter was elected, and that the rest were largely communists. And when a child parrots "get out you Jews" on the streets because parents told them it's cool, no, they're not innocent just because of their age. Most people never grow up, you can't exempt them all from morality. They got what they deserved.

  • @john42t so a child who is incapable of rational thought and is merely mouthing the words of his parents he's not innocent? And does he deserve to die for the sins of his parents or neighbors or countrymen? So the women who were raped deserved it because they may have voted for Hitler or been National Socialists? Also, Hitler's party held like 40% of votes in '33 and Hitler wasn't elected, he was appointed.

  • @oJKBo Most adults are not capable of rational thought, that doesn't make them innocent. In fact it's the opposite way round: It's being incapable of rational thought that is the essence of guilt. Only rational people are capabale of being innocent. You're right on the figures, but add all the Marxists to that, then you have a good guilty majority who deserved every single bit of what they've got and more. I'm German and I can't thank America enough for having sent these monsters to hell.

  • @john42t what? most adults are capable of rational thought....their brains are developed. Why should a mother with a husband drafted into the army be guilty of anything? explain to me why she deserved to get raped.

  • @oJKBo That was badly phrased. Most are either incapable of rational though or think it not worthwhile most of the time. What of those two modes is the more dominant problem is difficult to tell - in the end you only know yourself, if even that. As for the mother, whom did she vote for? Whose slogans did she parrot? What did she tell her child about "duty"?

  • @cary123 For further evidence go to russia and visit the mass graves. Memorial Society is like the ADL of post soviet russia. Go to their website. By the way stalin was crazy

  • @cary123 “Archival data indicates that 20,201 people were executed during 1930, the year of Dekulakization” Theres even a link to dekulakization.

  • @oJKBo Considering those executions were down on kulaks who burned there crops, I really dont care.

  • @cary123 You fucking idiot they didn't kill them because they burned crops they killed them because they thought the slightly better off peasants (kulaks) needed to be destroyed because it was a class blah blah bullshit. Women. Children. Whole families murdered for no reason but that they were SLIGHTLY better off than the average peasant

  • @cary123 "Yaroslavl Province, 23 June 1919. “The uprising of deserters in the Petropavlovskaya volost has been put down. When we started to shoot one person from each family, the Greens began to come out of the woods and surrender. Thirty-four deserters were shot as an example”. More ersecution continued under Lenin with the Cheka. Mass famines all over Russia especially Ukraine killed millions.

  • @cary123 I'm done. You can't speak english and if you want to live in the most oppressive society the world has ever seen, have at it. Visit Russia and go to the mass graves. Go to Bykivnia: 120,000-225,000 corpses; Kurapaty: 30,000-200,000 bodies found; Butovo: over 20,000 confirmed killed; Sandarmokh: over 9,000 bodies discovered. Visit Katyn, where the Soviets murdered Poles and blamed it on the Germans.

  • @cary123 In just the great purge

  • @cary123 Right Castro's a great guy. That's why his people are so happy there that they swim from Cuba to Florida.

  • @oJKBo Do you have stastics on how many people do this? :)

  • @cary123 This is absurd. The entire holocaust was driven by an anti-capitalist impulse. The Jews were identified with bankers, the "raffendes Kapital", as opposed to the hard-working German, the "schaffendes Kapital". It was Marxist ideology mixed with some racial fantasies called "National Socialism". If you look at contemporary genocides, such as the recent one in Rwanda, you see the same pattern. A socialist, superstitious poor majority slaughtering a wealthy upper class.

  • @john42t Theres a difference between socialist rhetoric and actually being socialist.

  • @cary123 Yeah, the guy that's actually socialist is the one that actually kills the bankers/jews.

  • @john42t He wasnt actually socialist. He did socialist rhetoric because it was popular in Germany at the time.

  • @john42t I should explan that better, killing jews or bankers is not socialist. Workers control of the means of production is socialist.

  • @cary123 Yet the bankers/jews usually end up in death camps. Karl Marx wrote about Jews: "What's the Jew's earthly God? Money. What's his earthly nature? Greed." (see Marx' "On the Jewish Question") That's the notion behind the holocaust and the connection between Nazism and Socialism. That's why it's not only rethorics. Marx was looking at Jewish bankers and let his hatred delude himself into dialectic materialism. Others followed him, Nazis borrowed a bit and mixed it with racism.

  • @john42t Marx had many racist views that are not part of traditional Marxism. Marx was talking about Jews as in the followers of Judaism, not Jews as in Semites. He also never called for there mass extermination. Nazism did not blend socialism, because the Nazis did not have the workers in ownership of the means of production.

  • @cary123 Marx was talking about Jews as in bankers. Hitler never called for mass extermination either; he did it in the end because he was losing the war. Workers owned or didn't own the means of production in Nazi Germany in exactly the same way as in Sovjet Russia.

  • @john42t lol it's funny because socialism hasnt worked anywhere. Socialist revolutions: Russia, Cuba, China

  • @oJKBo Yeah, but in China the miracle happened that the party reformed itself into being rather capitalistic, despite their logos and slogans.

  • @john42t How does exterminating Jews help you win a war? Marx was Jewish himself, btw. Did I ever say the soviets were socialist?

  • @cary123 Exterminating the Jews doesn't help you win a war, but if you hate them and lose the war it's what's left to do. Marx was Jewish, many socialists are and were Jewish, leftist hollywood is very Jewish. The Jews are all sorts of adventurers, ideologues, entrepreneurs, artists and so on. That's why some of them end up as socialists and others as bankers. The Jewish paradox. As for the soviets not being socialist - yeah, if they aren't, who is? You? Your gang is different, right?

  • @john42t The soviets were socialist from 1917 to the start of the civil war.

I consider the Paris Commune, Anarchist Catalonia, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Allende-ruled Chile, the Kubbtiz movement and the Zippo movement to be socialist.

  • I agree with less government.

The biggest mistake we made was bailing out the banks.

Failure is the regulation factor by bailing them and continuing to bail them out under some foolish notion they are too big to fail will mean they will continue business as usual and expect the tax payers to foot the bill.

  • @Bunnykiller6969 YES !!!!! Well Said BunnyK.

  • Glen beck is a nutcase agree,

More Nuts than beck is giving criminals who almost destroyed our economy though reckless actions a free pass, they should have been labeled enemies of America and rounded up not giving 700B in tax payer money.

anymore bank bail out would cause me and i am sure millions of americans to react.

  • Its already begun. Google SSI conspiracy to learn how liberals are stealing money and throwing innocent people into poverty.

  • @nhstategop Google the WW3 Conspiracy to learn how 'good' conservatives believe its necessary to have one in order for Jesus' to come back.

  • @Coltranized That isn't even in the BIble. the bible says Jesus returns when the gospel is preached to all nations.

  • @nhstategop Yes it is. You should read The Revelation of Jesus Christ section (the last book of the Bible). Its fun stuff!

  • @Coltranized I doubt you even did read it.

  • @nhstategop You're right, because I didn't spend 2 years freaking about what I've read in revelations or anything. . .

  • @Coltranized Yet you jump to the conclusion that Israel IS abolutely neccesary.

  • @nhstategop The destruction of the holy land is necessary? In Biblical terms, yes it is. . .

  • @nhstategop progressives have always thrown people into poverty. Ever hear of the New Deal????

  • Beck's point seemed to be that someone needs to report on the news without presenting so many assumptions, and without filtering. How many of you saw nancy pelosi's answer to a question about what is in the healthcare bill. "we will know whats in the bill, after it passes." That was hidden from you if you didnt watch beck.

  • I would be really interested to see what would happen if someone were to take all Beck's material and "points" and have them presented by someone else in a regular manner, not using Beck's manipulation tactics. I would guess that even the Tea Baggers would realize it is all just illogical insanity.

  • cenk trillions in debt doesn't bother u?

  • If he's so smart, why isn't he on Capitol Hill trying to fix things?

  • the man is a megalomaniac.

  • This guy suffers from psychosis! He needs to see a menatl health professional.

  • The Fox News has a psychologist talking to him on the show. Surprise, surprise, the psychologist agreed on everything he said. He's all alone in this so-called great struggle, and those disagree with him are nuts!

  • @TrueUSAPartiot - even it it is 221B - we've still spent more on Iraq alone, and you were speaking of all defense spending. So the fact remains.

  • I love Glenn Beck!

Comedy and Horror are my favorite genres.

  • lol

  • He forgot to make some kinky reference to anal sex or rape.

  • @a1mint if he is for competition then whey did he bail out the banks, and not let them fail? no one is (or i should say should be) too big to fail, otherwise its not true capitalism. thats not propoganda.

  • I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth I traveled much, and I observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.

  • And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.-Benjamin Franklin

  • What about people that get rejected from health insurance companies and go bankrupt because of a hospital bill?

What about people that avoid getting health issues addressed because they know they can't afford it.

  • @a1mint life isnt always fair

  • @taddpull That's your answer? That's your opinion?

When people go bankrupt because of unforeseen health problems (for instance, in between jobs - having lost insurance at the same time), you go "life isn't always fair"?

    Are you for real?

  • @a1mint yep, its true though isnt it? life isnt fair. thats why everyone should plan for their future responsibly (insurance, emergency savings).

  • @taddpull Well then, then I hope that you will lose your job and your insurance, and I then hope that you will discover a cancer, like, oh, say, you're pooping blood all of a sudden. You'll done get worried and frantically try to find any job that will provide insurance. Then, you'll have waited too long, and you'll just have shortened your life by 25 years.

    I'll then go: "LIFE ISN'T ALWAYS FAIR IS IT" . . .

    You're so stupid.

  • @a1mint You're right. We should steal from the rich and give to the needy. Public welfare is always more efficient than private welfare. It's not the government's fault medical bills are high. The FDA does more good than harm. And we need more insurance. Insurance really makes people look at the costs of procedures.

  • @taddpull

If I'm not answering every message you can blame it on Youtube for FUCKING UP THE VIEW-ALL-COMMENTS PAGE.

I FREAKING *HATE* THIS NEW FORMAT. I CAN'T SEE THE FUCKING TREES THROUGH THE FOREST.

  • Easy in poverty? There are people out there working 16 hours a week plus commuting time, and still unable to make ends meet.

They CAN'T work any more, it is physically impossible.

  • What if everyone's tax money is collectively used for one big publicly funded non-profit insurance company.

Same hospital, same service, low-cost administration layer.

People with little money get coverage the same as rich people.

Is this a non-American concept? Would Americans rather play the game of the survival of the fittest and let people rot? Things that bad?

  • @a1mint Tax is theft of property #1. And #2, it's completely unconstitutional. A state government might do this but a federal plan would be illegal. And insurance increases costs and giving a non profit plan would lead to incredible spending.

  • @oJKBo

#1,#2: You've been paying federal income tax ever since you've been working.

For profit insurance companies that get to be selective results in:

    1) profit money going to non health care related pocket (eg. shareholders, ceos)

    2) people that need service not being accepted.

    3) people having to sell their house and declaring bankrupt

From what I gathered, America spent 2.5 times more on the old "health care" than other developed nations. And those nations are just a good with their care.

  • What? I thought minimum wage was supposed to solve our problems?

  • Minimum wage is only enough to solve problems when it is enough to live on.

For example, minimum wage in Australia is nearly double that in the US (adjusted for exchange rates)

  • Australia has a low youth employment rate. And, Australia still has a 5.5% unemployment rate.

To really put it in perspective, however, is the fact that Australian economics is how we should be. It is one of the most capitalist, free market, unregulated economies on the planet.

  • @toneeeeeee It is not unregulated. Banking regulations, for example are much stricter, although less complex, and this was due to reforms after several merchant banks collapsed, and after the Asian economic crisis.

  • @dangerouslytalented Aha, no, hey are not stricte. INfact, I would ask that you point out how exactly they are, unless your reading a textbook from the 70's. Besides, the regulation authority is completely independent of the Commonwealth and is funded entirely by the banks. So, in short, US = more European / Australia =More American.

  • @toneeeeeee The regulations here in Australia are not WRITTEN by the banks, and the banks are not allowed to shop around for regulators, like in the US where they can go to one of seven regulators, and will choose whatever regulators have the loosest policies.

  • @dangerouslytalented Um, It doesn't work exactly like that. I admire your faith in the current american banking system, but nearly everything wrong with it is due to some sort of Federal intervention. You do know that American banks are subject to regulation by 3 federal agencies right? And they most certainly are too. Our financial crisis brought on by the sub-prime housing market is the most recent and extreme example of the government helping corrupt banks do bad business.

  • There are 7 regulatory agencies that look after financial services companies. Some regulate banks, others regulate merchant banks, some regulate insurance companies. At the moment, they can simply relabel themselves in order to get regulated by the loosest regulators.

  • @dangerouslytalented In retrospect it doesn't matter, man. The agencies that run our banks are the same guys that are posting to our 12 trillion dollar deficit. Yours are deficit neutral, if not running a surplus. Our banks have been steadliy more regulated and things have gotten worse. Yours have been less and your financial sector has boomed, bottom line.

  • @toneeeeeee American financial services industries have been less and less regulated since 1980, from the deregulations of the S&Ls (which promptly crashed) to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act...

Between the late 30s and 1980 number of crashes in the US: 0.

This was when the financial services industry was the MOST regulated.

  • @dangerouslytalented Sorry about the typos this new comment thing isn't looking so good on my computer screen.

  • @dangerouslytalented they should try as hard as they can to get a better job then

  • @taddpull actually, it is the other way around, the more poor people there are, the more society (normally) tries to provide for them. At least in Westernised countries.

  • @taddpull

"the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves"

Do you have any real evidence to back up this claim? Where have you observed this phenomenon?

I hope we can agree that people with wealthy stable families tend to succeed, and people with poor unstable families tend to fail. Everyone needs help to succeed.

  • @clizzaster that was a quote from benjamin franklin. It shows how you can get somepne out of poverty. limit the welfare that the gov gives so much that they have to go out and be productive.

  • @clizzaster also there is evidence. just think about it. someone loses their job and is out of work for several months, so they go on welfare. after a while they realize how easy it is to live on welfare, so they put off job searching and take up tv watching. they become "comfortable in their poverty" because there were "more public provisions" so they did not "provide for themselves".

  • @taddpull Make the welfare people attend courses and meetings, otherwise don't pay them. I'm sure people would prefer to make money.

  • @clizzaster Taddpull's answer to that is "life isn't always fair".

We now know where he stands. Rather selfish individual.

  • @taddpull So have you been teaching them how to get jobs? Have you been hiring anybody? What positive contributions have you made to giving people work?

Or are you using this philosophy as a justification for being a jerk?

  • @dangerouslytalented do you get what the quote means at all dude? the longer you give someone something, the more comfortable they become with their situation. the way to get them in a better situation, is to provide for them less, so that they provide for themeselves more and realize how to be successful. heard the phrase "give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach him to fish he eats for a lifetime." but also, you can make someone sit in a class forever, but that doesnt mean they will learn.

  • @taddpull A) how many people have you tought to fish? How many people have you helped to buy a fishing pole? Have you gone and checked that there were still fish in the lake?

I am asking you a question. Have you actually put MONEY where your MOUTH is, and helped these people, by not giving a handout, but by hactually helping them gain employment or whatever to get them on their feet, or are you just washing your hands of the situation?

  • @dangerouslytalented isnt governement welfare (in excess) a handout? obviously you agree handouts dont really help in the long run. so less handouts = more success from the people who recieved said handouts

  • @taddpull

A well run welfare program is not about giving handouts but is about getting people out of whatever hole that they are in, especially when they have no way of tetting out of them on their own.

Now, let me ask you again. What are you doing to help? Because Jesus said something about whatsoever you do to the least of my bretheren, that you do unto me. So what are you doing to help them help themselves? Actually help, not simply blame them for being poor.

  • @dangerouslytalented. then we completely agree on what the quote was saying, in fact i dont think i could have explained it better myself.

  • @taddpull but you want to eliminate it.

And you did not answer my question. Again.

WHAT ARE YOU, PERSONALLY, DOING to help these people?

  • @dangerouslytalented i dont want to eliminate it. i just want to eliminate most of it. i want it too look more apealling to work and contribute to society than to live off the system.

i will not answer your question. obviously you have an agenda here

  • @taddpull You can teach a man to fish all you want, but if all the fish have been taken from the ocean by a bloody great big trawler, then it is not going to help.

  • @dangerouslytalented thats why we have a right to an opportunity not a right to succeed.

  • it is reassuring to know that people still don't take this idiot seriously.

  • more people are watching him than ever. and more people are watching him than any other network in the same time slot. COMBINED

  • Actually, no. WWE has greater ratings. Hannah Montana has far greater ratings. Spongebob Squarepants has far greater ratings. Between one and two million watch Beck. That is between one third and one half of one percent. Cable news is dull. People don't watch it these days, because if they need to find a news story, they can google it, and within three seconds, they have video of it, instead of waiting half an hour for the news cycle to complete its round.

  • @dangerouslytalented, i meant to say of cable news, not cable tv in general. ill admit even i dont watch the news most of the time. i use the internet. but of the people that choose to sit down and watch a cable news program at his time slot, he wins.

  • @taddpull Popularity does not equal legitimacy. FOX is selling paranoia and rage, not news. They are trying to get people angry and paranoid, and thus hook them into (A) their political philosophy and (B) watching their channel.

  • A lot of people watch him. What kind of people? The people he caters to. Ignorant dumb gullible emotionally disturbed rednecks. Whatever else scum label you can think of, tag it right on there.

But that doesn't mean everyone is a low life like that.

Ranting and raving and spewing hate and hateful emotions sells, just like sex sells. And that's because his gullible stupid audience is easy to sell to - weak minds.

    Makes sense doesn't it?

  • Speaking of hate...Hypocritical insect.

  • You must listen to Beck a lot.

  • @a1mint. missing the point, OF the people that choose to watch cable news, whatever kind of people that is, at that time of the day, watch glenn beck over other programs. obviously though, thats not everyone in the country. i realize this.

  • I assume you mean the YOung turks.

I like how This guy is like, What? What happened? HAHAHA WHATS HAPPENING LOL!?!?!?"

Um, the housing bubble? The 12 trillion deficit? 10% plus unemployment? Do you people live in a fucking fantasy world?

  • Deficit increases and unemployment rise are all fall out from to the deregulation efforts of the previous government.

  • Are you inhaling whippets?

Break this one down for me. No, really, I'm serious. I really want you to break this one down for me.

Especially the idea that the 'previous government' 'deregulated' anything of substance. This should be interesting.

  • 'Cutting edge' - Ha! the only place for Beck is on the cutting room floor.

  • Beck uses big words to get peoples attention and fool ignorant people that what he says is important. Truth is, all he do is whine.

  • Fear and Hunger...Fear and Hunger (he has mentioned this several times the last two episodes on Fox)...

This is funny, because this is exactly what he does. He incites fear into his audiences and feeds on their insecurities and their needs. He is using the economy to boost his ratings and convert people to become a conservative. It's just so hypocritical that's it isn't funny, its frightening. Is this guy insane???

  • Oh... another Glenn Beck story. Slow news day huh?

I don't know if you guys know this but Huffigton Post got entire section about Glenn Beck. If i didn't know any better I would say political left loves Glenn Beck and can't get enough of him.

  • Showing Glenn Beck is a great way to discredit the Far Right, just by showing how crazy they really are.
