  • Keyboards, bass and drums section stole the tune!.....O.K it was all amazing!

  • Am I the newest member of the Joe Travers fan club? It really doesn't matter-he probably blows people away every day. Have been a student of Inca Roads for twenty years-parts one and two. And seen Frank play it live. This band deliver.

  • the flow from 4:09 on is unreal!

  • would have liked to see Brian Auger play with Z

  • I can almost detect some Bernie Worrell influences in part of the solo. Might just be the tone, but it's definitely reminiscent of him.

  • A-mazing. Top notch. One of my faves. Frank would be proud.

  • They are all incredibly talented, but joe travers is amazing. If the world was fair, n.m.b. Would be a huge star

  • I got goose bumps from that.

I think it's Aaron Arntz who played the krazy keyboards solo.

It's so right with the Universe that Napoleon Murphy Brock is doing the vocals.

If you don't have the ZPZ dvd, get it.

  • j aime c ette version domage que le solo clavier n est pas sur les dvd zplay z il y a une autre versionbelle aussi!!

  • God is not dead, our son is back......

  • The drummer is the always amazing Joe Travers. I've seen the band 4 times now and the performances are stellar, and Joe's playing of this outrageously difficult material is absolutely perfect (and he sings complex back-up and lead vocals while playing as well...it's nuts!).

  • Cud the drummer have been Portnoy (of Dream Theater)? Has the looks, beard and bandana.

  • @ikeeptime but not the skills ;)

  • @JonteJH2 Man, I gotta say after looking over the tune a few more times I think it IS Portnoy on drums. What are the odds of someone who lools so much like him and is so adept at covering drum lines from other artists (which D T is known for) not being him? His stick motion and grip (far to the butt end of the stick) also seem to be portnoy. Even if this is not him, whoever it is has my respect. I have tried to cover the song's drumming on numerous occasions and failed.

  • The keyboardist may have a terrible hair-do but he sure can play. Sweet. Would love to've seen the original band play this. Old Ruthie Underwood was surely one of the best percussionists out there

  • Now THIS is music

  • I love Napoleon. I hope he never dies.

  • Ah Dweezil and co., you make me smile!!!

  • Greatest pop jazz rock of ALL TIMES! Nothing comes close, except Jethro Tull.

  • the edinburgh playhouse gig blew this away

  • FRANK KNOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think the dumer took the lead in that

  • joe travers is fantastic

  • I agree. Frank would be proud.

  • That's fucking fabulous. Can't imagine better. The old man would be proud....

  • Check out Aaron's other projects, you can find them through his myspace...

  • wow....they did it.

  • wonderful players and magnificent keyboards.

  • magical keyboard playing and drumming

  • It's amazing to watch Dweezil accompanying all the vibe parts on guitar. But the keyboard solo is the highlight on part 2. He teases, with whispers of George Duke throughout, but truly gets in a TON of his own chops. I'm a guitarist, but I was mucho impressed.

  • @drvbluesman1

    yea..except that it was half-speed....

  • Thats Ruth !!

  • ENORME!! fabuleux

  • Standing ovation, -and they deserve it!! Love this version..

  • The keyboardist is absolutely amazing, fabulous stuff.

  • you're right, but where is George Duke?

  • Yeah, I like George Duke's solo much better. Still good though.

  • Dweezil-Thank you for honoring your dad

    Wonderful!

  • just as good as the original on ONE SIZE FITS ALL

  • Amazing! Wow! Zappa = God

  • sorry for the trite phrase, but I have to say that the keyboardist is da shit!!!

I mean in a very positive way.

  • Wow Dweezil!

  • these members of the MOTHERS feel the same way about "Dweezil as we do. He is .....WOW

  • Wow!! Respect to Dweezil!! He took time out, reinvented his guitar technique & put a lot of effort into learning his dad´s wonderful & extremely difficult compositions. This is my all-time favourite Zappa piece.

  • Simply brilliant. This band reminds me that sometimes you really can go back home!
