I watched the fight again and can say hand on heart there is no way on earth Hopkins can claim it was a bad decision. From round 8 onwards he could not handle Calzaghe pressure, just look at the state of Hopkins in round 11 and 12, he was stumbling everywhere and Joe was bouncing on his toes. I had Hopkins winning 2 rounds, Calzaghe winning 8 and 2 drawn rounds.

I watched the fight again and can say hand on heart there is no way on earth Hopkins can claim it was a bad decision. From round 8 onwards he could not handle Calzaghe pressure, just look at the state of Hopkins in round 11 and 12, he was stumbling everywhere and Joe was bouncing on his toes. I had Hopkins winning 2 rounds, Calzaghe winning 8 and 2 drawn rounds.

Reading this board in conjunction with how the UK fans act when at the past few fights in the U.S has led me to one conclusion. You are a bitter people. The countless "ref" mentions, the homophobic language, the constant use of the words "Yank" and "Cunt" Hattons corner threw in the towel! A good fight on Calzaghe's half, but if he wants to take the title, it looks like he needs to put just that little bit more in these last 2 rounds.. We're into double figures now, both boxers starting to show signs of tiring..Hopkins has never looked completely in it since round 1, but on the flip side... he hasn't looked out of it either.. Hopkins takes a knee after an apparent low blow... doesn't look like anything connected too below the belt... just blatant time-wasting on Hopkins, hence no warning from Cortez. Hopkins has wasted about a minute now... he does not look comfortable in there.. Hopkins again using the clinches.
