I think it takes time to "come in"into this album... first listening was... a bit disapointed after many years without listening SP records... bleed in the orchid is my favorite. It is a good album no matter the critics said, Billy Corgan has a particular style in composing, you like it or not, but it does not sound like anyone else, a "signature", that's what make some artists exceptional to my sense. I like it.

The Smashing Pumpkins are one of the few bands that have their own sound. Almost every other band has a few other bands that are super similar, but the Pumpkins seem to be a stand alone band. The only other band I can think of that is so destinct sounding is Tool.
