This pumping way of playing the bass line instead of the more 'traditional' walking bass line fits Sister S perfectly well :-)

You bet! And it has, I would think, some advantages in ease of play. But most of all, it really works. I've been afraid to give in to it, thinking that it's all gotta be scalar in the bass. No more!
