I don't know that his/her reasoning needs to be...The idea that that there is an intrinsic motivation to do well inside of all animals is obviously false. However, there is an intrinsic motivation inside all of us to do well for OURSELVES. This is human nature. And if you don't think qualification is overrated, Ross Greene often works with kids on multiple anti-psychotics before "treating" them. I recommend not simply buying into whatever someone had to offer simply because he is a doctor.
I knew a man who supported parents being fined when kids misbehave at school. He supported this b/c some teachers convinced him & were trying to get ppl to lobby law makers. I said it was a terrible idea. I mean if we suggested fining the teachers who have the responsibility at the time, they`d have a fit. 2nd if you throw that added stress on poor parents who can`t afford the fines either they`ll start abusing the kids to get them to behave or they`ll be put in jail for not having $ to pay.
