  • Phil, you do realise that you are the number one selling point for Metro and JTM45's in general, don;t you?

Just add your skill and you're there!

Love all of your vids JTM45 or not.

  • @bluesjuke no I had no idea, but thanks for that compliment...very kind of you.

  • Oh, it's whole steps

  • Awesome man.. yeah sounds a lot like "Thelonious". By the way, the lick at 52 seconds was one of the coolest things I've heard in a long time. Is that all chromatic trills or are you alternating half and whole steps?

  • that's an awesome jam!! great sounding combo that you've got here with the Gibby and Metro!!

    Rob

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • This track sounds *fantastic*, Phil. Funky, firey, and fun! Way to go!

  • Thanks Bigs, nice of you to say.

  • Hey Les how much did u pay for the 335??

  • Actually its not mine Yo, Ive been baby sitting it for a bud for about 10 years now. BTW, its a 355 not a 335......but hell, they all look the same.

  • Man,I'm wishin' I still had my silk shirts and platform shoes. I'm not much of a funk fan,but what ever you've been playing lately-I'm liking! I really appreciate the effort your putting into pl;aying all different styles-keep 'em comming. Cheers

  • Thanks Lefty, I appreciate the comment and positive reaction to my vids.

  • Anyone for Thros in the 355????

  • Clams..?? r they akin to chicken Clucks??? The ebony board and the larger MOP markers give the 355 a certain, almost unexplainable unique tone and sustain not to mention the easy access to the upper frets and all that hollow wood -all of which you take advantage of Dr. Next up..Papa's Got a Brand New Bag??? (.)(.)

  • LOL.........yeah one day its gonna be..."Pop Pops has got a brand new Metro"....LOL....and I hope soon.

  • Could be the 335, but this sounds very Larry Carlton-ish to me Phil. Nice job....again.

  • Thanks Slow..355

  • This is just great Phil. You're really displaying a lot of excellent skill and differing techniques lately....not to mention feeling!! The 335 is you. IMO. The guitar just speaks to you and you speak to it!! LOL!! Another great one bud!!

  • Thanks Dog, youre the one who kicks me in the ass with inspiration...you always have whether you know it or not.

  • Good call on the JB feel of the track. Blow By Blow era?

  • Thanks Andrew, yeah I forget the name of the tune on that classic LP that this backing track reminds me of.

  • Now this is just some funky sweet playing Phil! I must say I really dig this guitar. It's a great match with the JTM 45.

I'm hitting the Favorite button on this one! Fantastic! Cheers, T

  • Thanks T, its always fun to get the 355 out and hammer on the whammy. Surprisingly it stays in tune!

  • Great job, TONS of feeling in every note! What tubes do you got in the metro?

  • Thanks J, these are the GEC's and mullards in the Metro.
