  • I thought Bernard Yoeunes died of a stroke or heart attack in 1984 off screen & due to this Stanley Ogden died in hospital

  • Who was that baby

  • I never knew her because I am a new fan, but I see what Ena Sharples was like. The show need more Ena Shaples whos a severe character morally on cue and a person you dont wanna mess with. Give Tracy Barlow a run for her life.

  • I Love Coronation Street Oh Yeh See This On The 5th Of Sept 2011 There Is A Car Chash

  • did`nt lennard pearce (grandad trotter) play in corrie ? does anyone know what character he played

  • @unclemort1960 14th May 1969 Lennard Pearce played Mr Bracegirdle. He flirts with Annie and gets thrown out of the pub by Jack Walker. I think he only came into that episode.

  • MusicalsMakesMyWorlds is TOPs; like Road to Coronation Street movie

  • Who's at 0.58?

  • Uhh i wonder what their bodies look like now....Horrible.

  • You featured two actors there who are still alive (albeit they were in photos with actors who have since left us). Jean Alexander who played Hilda Ogden, and Phillip Lowrie who played Dennis Tanner are still around.

  • who was the baby???

  • Was The Baby On 1:05 The First Sarah Lou Platt before Tina O Brien?

  • Nice one what a great trip down memory lane....

  • I didn't even know Jennifer Moss had died! Bless her! She was a great actress!!

  • OMG who's at 0:29 ?

  • @BIJMOZ The Original actress of Blanche

  • You missed out Noel Dyson who played Ida Barlow.

  • @kidderguy

Is she dead? that's one i never actually found out about :/ what about Doreen Keogh?

  • I love this i hope thay put this on when there 50th good work 100%

  • A couple of years after Fred Feast left the programme, i was casting a schools tour of a Shakespeare play. I advertised in the usual actors papers and was shocked to receive Fred's CV - He was obviously desperate for work. I found that very sad....

  • what an ug!!!!!!!!

  • who is the baby at 1:04 ??

  • @terry0075 I could be wrong, but a set of twins were used to portray Sarah Lou when Gail gave birth. Tragically, one of the twins died, and they were given pemission to have the other baby on screen in the role. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @LadyMezzo yes its true I heard the other baby was given permission to have on screen.

  • you missed one out, william moore, who played sgt turpin in early 70,s

  • @anthonyhist Ye, there r a few people i missed out as if i had put every1 in it would take hours as if you think, i would have to respectfully include people who were in like odd episodes like the lady in an episode in 70's who found the barlow twins. It would just take too long. But don't worry, even though i haven't included everyone the tribute points them out too, as people will think of the others themselves, if you get me?

  • Thanks. Sorry I meant the lady at 0.54 not Albert.

  • @fannycraddock99 That's Christine Hargreaves, who played Christine Hardman, she worked in the raincoat factory and her mother May died in the early episodes of a brain tumor. She had an unhappy life (nearly killing herself, failed marriages, almost marriage to Ken's father) before leaving in 1963.

  • Yes of course it is, I should have remembered her. Thanks.

  • It was a tragic irony that the actress Christine died at the yojung age of 45 of what her screen mother died of.

  • This is a nice tribute. These wonderful actors left us in so many different ways, some natural, some heartbreaking and fast, but they all leave behind such a wonderful legacy. Their work remains so fresh and strong, and we are still marveling at them 20, 30, 40, 50 years later. You really honor them. And that last picture is perfect.

  • Thank you i am glad you like it, i agree on everything you said, these people were such wonderful people, brought so much colour to TV (even when it was black and white) they are greatly missed. I know i look at episodes now a days and can picture one of them walking in to that episode, their spirits remain in the street and in the viewers hearts.

  • @MusicalsMakeMyWorldS I know. I often think what would Jerry do, what would Ena say, what about Alf. They knew how to make characters back then.

  • @CarlD2 Yeah. I always think in the pub scenes when i see Rita, Emily and Norris together and their gossiping. R Martha, Ena and Minnie going to appear in the booth next to them discussing pointless information, and then i watch arguments and think, bring on those one line remarks from Len and Harry and also think, Elsie/Ena have better arguments. It really isnt the same nemore it is becoming a young persons show i feel, like Hollyoaks, and people are forgetting those who made it a success.

  • Loved it. Who are the actors who appeared at 0.29, 0.56 & 1.05 please?

  • @fannycraddock99 Patricia Cutts/Blanche Hunt #1, Jack Howarth/Albert Tatlock. Is 1.05 the baby? Is that the little girl who along with her twin sister played Sarah Louise? She died of cot death, the other continued to play Sarah for a number of years.
