I was very lucky! He was doing a DVD signing at Virgin Megastores in London in November 2006 and I had to Q over night and then in the morning the people at the front got wistbands which ment you could meet Paul first. So we got in and he came through and sat down and started signing and when it was my turn he said hello and there was a little bit of chit-chat and then he signed the booklet insde the DVD case, said thanks and smiled and that was it

I do believe Paperback Writer and Rain were rushed out the door in between Rubber Soul and Revolver because the Beatles were due to make another appearance on Ed Sullivan and couldn't make it to the US due to other commitments, thus they were packaged together as a single with Rain as the B Side and never made it onto an album. I don't think it was a Beatle decision but more EMI or whatever label they were under at the time. This song is awesome though!
