@DethMetalHippie21 for a four beat measure, it's a down stroke for the first three quarter notes, but the last beat do two eighth notes with a quick down-up. So it's like "Down Down DOWN down-up" and repeat that throughout, unless you intentionally break out to mess it up here and there for emphasis.
the break is Em, G, C, B7 again, but during that whole time keep your pinkie on the B string 3 frets up (what is that, an E?) and at the very end which is the B7 chord bend that B string with your pinkie up. End with that big strum on the Em. That's it!
Most comments for all my vids say the same, but what can I say - if I don't sing it's hard to follow the song if you're listening. Vocals are my bane!
it starts in a Cmajor, goes to the Em root that slides quick to an F#m root then quick back to the B7major. Those are the chords, but pick the melody out of that by lifting/adding fingers (sorry, not great with tabs).
then the break is Em, G, C, B7 again, but during that whole time keep your pinkie on the B string 3 frets up (what is that, an E?) and at the very end which is the B7 chord bend that B string with your pinkie up. End with that big strum on the Em. That's it!
Beautiful. What a haunting song, and you did it justice.
One quick question though, can you please tell me the chord sequence at 1.31-1.33? I think I have the rest sorted out, just need a bit of help with that part.
Thanks-I think you're talking about the bass run, which starts on the B7major, and you just run that one note bass down the scale like B-A-G-F#-E. With the Low E ringing out that gives you time to get back to the Em which starts the song.
I thought that was awesome! Thanks

I have not missed an Elvis tour since 1979 and I think you've done a great job this song. This song takes a lot of emotion to do well.
